((cont from the Cafe))
A solid orange stallion trotted briskly through the evening air, sunset-colored eyes piercing the oncoming darkness. He wasn't sure exactly where he was going, but he had heard word of her.. of the unicorn who could give him what he wanted.
Glasye continued along his way, glancing this way and that, looking for a cottage or other place of residence that Twilight might live.

Twilight was alone, as usual. Well, she had had more company lately than she really knew how to handle. The rock star Ville Valo had been quite... entertaining. She had liked him, and they had had some fun, but now she was alone again. She wasn't sure if they would meet again. She hoped so, as she was so lonely, and especially stallions hardly ever really noticed her, or if they did, didn't stay long. She wasn't sure why. Perhaps it was because she was so quiet.
In any case, she wasn't thinking of such thoughts at the moment. She had come by the river, to watch the rainbow colours, as was one of her pastimes. She didn't really need to work - the food she needed, and all the rest, she could make with her magic. Not that she ever made any more than she absolutely needed. Twilight had her ethics, which were more important to her than many other things.
That day, she sat curled up onto one of the banks of the river, letting the wind gently blow through her mane, and dwelling in quiet thoughts.

Glasye's ears perked as the pink unicorn came into view. Pink body, white mane, purple stripe.. yes, this must be Twilight.
The orange stallion approached the unicorn, gait changing to that of a suave, debonaire kind of pony. She WAS a pretty mare, after all.
"Lovely day, isn't it?" The orange stallion prepared his most handsome smile.

Twilight jumped a little at being spoken to. She blinked and looked about until she saw Glasye. She had to look around herself once more to make sure there was no one else there who he might be talking to. She got up onto her feet a little insecurely.
"Umm, yes," was all she could make out at first. He was a dashing sight, and she was not used to dashing stallions speaking to her.

Glasye bravely took a few steps closer, "A lovely mare such as yourself completes the scene, I'd say." He smiled, pausing to seem almost shy. "My name is Glasye," The stallion offered, then bowed gracefully to Twilight, ever the charmer. "Mind if I join you here?"

Twilight blushed at the compliment, feeling almost embarrassed. She wasn't used to compliments like that, and thus they worked on her marvellously well. She couldn't help thinking that this orange stallion was terribly handsome. It did cross her mind that it was strange that he didn't have a symbol anywhere, but the thought passed quickly.
"Oh, oh, of course," she said, smiling, blushing deeper at the bow. "Please, do sit. I... eh, I was just looking at the river."
She scolded herself for acting like a silly teen filly. What was she doing? It was just a stallion, for goodness' sake!

"Please, do sit. I... eh, I was just looking at the river."
"Ah. Splendid," He smiled at the unicorn briefly, then eased his large frame down onto the grass. His muscles rippled under his orange coat as he moved, and his neck arched in almost a royal fashion as he found a comfortable position.
"Might I ask for your name, my lady?" Glasye spoke gently, and looked at her with curiosity. He normally wouldn't be nearly so cordial or polite, but he knew from the start that Twilight was shy, and possibly skeptical of him. And all the more reason to take his time and be cautious.

Twilight hesitated a little, then knelt beside him on the grass, admiring his strong body. She couldn't help but think that it would have been very easy for him to kill her with just one blow of those strong hooves. She blinked the thought away from her mind. Where did that come from?
"Oh... I am... Twilight," she said, forcing back the blush resulting from being addressed "my lady". She was rather fond of old ways, so this sort of approach appealed to her. She smiled. "I'm sorry, my manners seem to have disappeared with my thoughts."

"Oh... I am... Twilight,"
Glasye smiled to himself, Score. "It suits you nicely," He smiled slightly, staring off down the river. I think you'd suit me nicely too, but first things first.
"I'm sorry, my manners seem to have disappeared with my thoughts."
"I imagine it's easy to lose your thoughts while watching a river such as this one," He laughed softly to himself. "I've always found the river to be a good place to.. to think about things. Maybe to look for the answers to one's.. problems." He sighed, dipping his hoof into the edge of the water.

Twilight noticed she had trouble concentrating on what Glasye was saying, over how his voice sounded like. There was a charm in it that Twilight could not resist. She smiled gently to him, her heart at once affected by his sigh and his saddening demeanour. She looked at her, concern evident in her eyes.
"Problems?" she asked politely, not wanting to intrude but wanting to show the stallion that she was listening.
At the back of her mind she knew there was something about this orange symbol-less stallion that was familiar, somehow... that she should have recognised... but those thoughts passed again, especially when the worry over the stallion took over her mind.

"Problems?"
Glasye's deceitful story-telling came instantly into play, "My.. a friend of mine.. he and his partner have been trying to conceive a foal for months now, but the mare hasn't been able to take pregnancy. It's terrible, really," He sighed, looking again into the water, "They're very much in love, and can't turn that love into a foal. I'd just like to help them, somehow. So far I haven't thought of a way."
He paused a moment, then gently touched Twilgiht's pink hoof with his own, "Have you.. ever known love like that?" He stared instensely into her eyes with the penetrating sunset orbs that were his own.

Twilight's breath caught into her throat at the intense gaze of the sunset stallion. Sunset Stallion. Yes. That was what he was. The most handsome, powerful stallion Twilight had ever seen. She found herself out of breath, and locked into that gaze. She swallowed, very slowly.
"Oh..." She tried to moist her lips with her tongue, then was very conscious of what it might have implied to him, and a faint rose tint came over her pale pink cheeks. "I... I don't... not really." Her voice came out as little breaths, almost, and she didn't understand how he could affect her so, them having only met moments ago. She tore her eyes away from his, though it was a great strain. Her heart was pounding in her chest.
"I'm... sorry to hear about your friend," she said, still a little breathless. "I wish I could help." That said, her own word "wish" struck her. She swallowed again and was very conscious of his hoof on hers. "Of course... maybe... I... can."
She wasn't sure what she was doing. To tell him of her magic, so soon, like that, it was mad. And still something at the back of her mind told her that she should have remembered something about this Sunset Stallion. But the recollection melted away at the charming aura that wrapped around her.

Glasye then implemented a kind of 'fishing lure' approach. He didn't want to overwhelm or scare her, so he pulled his head a little further away. Give a little, reel her in.. give a little.. reel her in..
"Of course... maybe... I... can."
"You could?" Glasye acted with fake surprise, "Do you.. would you really be able to help them? That would be so wonderful.." He looked away briefly, then focused his orange eyes back on Twilight's again. He tightened his hoof ever so slightly on hers.

Twilight licked her lips and glanced up at the stallion. Something in her gut did warn her, but she let it be. This stallion felt so genuine. And after all, what were her powers for, if not for helping others? She nodded slowly, breathing a little more evenly now. His wonderful eyes still captured her attention fully, and his hoof on hers sent shivers along her skin, but she was not so overwhelmed anymore. She felt in control of herself and of the situation.
Even if she wasn't.
"Oh... I... eh... I have... powers," Twilight said a little shyly. "I can..." her voice grew very, very quiet, "make wishes come true."

Glasye's eyes widened in false surprise, and he tightened his hoof around the hood of the mare beside him.
"So not only are you beautiful, you have powers too?" He asked with a half smile, eyes once again delving deep into Twilight. He was slightly putting off the innocent vibe, now that he had gained her interest a little bit.
"You must be quite brave as well," The stallion continued slowly, so as not to too eagerly lay on the compliments, "I know having powers is.. is a great responsibility," He said, "I'm glad I don't have any. But then again, you really have a great gift."
He leaned a bit closer, his body language not entirely cooinciding with his words, "You can help others."
