(con from Home Sweet Home--Rose/Tsu, PAARS infect, time: sun up)
Streaks of early morning light breached the barrier of closed blinds. It lit the floor with the intensity of a search light, slowly creeping up the bed, and across the bodies laying there. For a moment, Rose was imperceptive of the sun, but it eventually came to its final destination, particularly over her face.
She winced once, paused, then twice. Finally her eyes clenched, her brows furrowing in some unconscious war to hold onto sleep. Slowly, the barest traces of consciousness willed her purple eyes open. Rose awoke to the blinding affects of morning, groaned, and covered her face with a hoof. Groggily she rolled over, trying to retain trace effects of sleep. But it was too late, her mind was waking up from the haze, and there was no hope of retrieving it.
Giving up entirely now, Rose stretched, cracking and popping in odd places, yawning in process. Eventually her hooves made the distance from mattress to floor, and in a staggered fashion, Rose stumbled from her room to the hall. There, more light flooded her sense, and after a moment of silent adjustment, Rose contemplated silently to herself.
It's gonna be one of those days...

There in Rose's bed, Glasye lay like the king of his castle. Sprawled on his back, he was fast asleep, nostrils flaring with each slow, heavy breath. His golden-orange locks fanned out beneath his neck, shining with the reflection of the early morning sun. The stallion easily took up most of the bed with his large body, and even in his lazy position, was still as majestic as ever.
Glasye's facial features twitched slightly in response to the offensive sunlight, until he finally snorted in annoyance. The half-sleeping stallion groped absently for Rose's pillow, a grumble low in his throat expressing his impatience. As soon as one orange hoof found it, Glasye flopped the soft pillow over his eyes, turning his head from the direction of the sunlight.
In his still-sleepy daze, the stallion's memory flashed back to the night before. First, his scandal with Twilight, only to come home to the very same with Rose. As these thoughts crossed his mind, Glasye couldn't help but grin.
Oh, what a night...

The twice-as-fancy unicorn moved throughout her home with a slow and uneven pace. Slowly her muscles were awakening with her mind, yet they screamed with a familiar ache of soreness. Her entire body just seemed to squeal with the thought of heading back to bed. Now that Rose's mind was waking up, however, she knew that a bed was the last place she wanted to be. Especially one still occupying Glayse.
One can only be so sore. Here is where I draw the line. Rose tsked herself, knowing all to well that she'd sure enough gravitate back towards her bedroom if Glayse was present. Scolding herself helped keep herself in check. Sorta.
Kinda.
Not really.
Rose merely shook her head, crossing the threshold by Tsuwari's room. For a brief moment, she poked her face in like any concerned parent to see she had nothing to worry about. Her eyes were met with a peaceful example of slumber, but the sight was all too quick to remind her of the night's previous events. A once wincing, grumbling face fell into a frown. She had to tell him, eventually. Tsuwari was getting old enough, and curious enough, to look into things on his own.
What should happen if someone he didn't know told him the truth?
What should happen if Glayse told him?
A bitter, sour, metal taste filled her mouth at the thought, not knowing if Glayse's involvement in telling Tswurai the truth would be good or not.
In an attempt to smash out the growing sense of anger, Rose retreated from Tsuwari's room, and finished her journey to the kitchen. Yet the feeling lingered of anger lingered.

d**n it all.
Glasye had tossed and turned, unable to reclaim his somnambulant state. Usually, he would sleep on for hours in Rose's absence, but last night had been the most restful slumber he had gotten in quite a while, and his body no longer wanted to sleep.
The stallion rolled out of Rose's bed, four large hooves landing on the floor beneath him. Once he balanced himself, Glasye strode out of the bedroom, and eventually into the kitchen.
He walked up to Rose, laying his neck lazily across her back. Yawning, he asked in a sleepy voice, "What's for breakfast, Rosey-Love?"

The anger that tingled in the back of her neck seemed to melt, at least to a degree. It was usually surprisingly easy to put everything else on the back burner in Glayse's presence. Rose suspected this to be one of his talents, be it a physical one, or by some Jedi-Vulcan Dark Rainbow Mind trick. However, it nagged at her like a bite she couldn't quite itch.
"I'm not sure, my mind hasn't gotten that far yet.," She half turned her head to glance at him over her shoulder.
Glayse was her partner in the loosest since. Rose knew that he had too much invested in her and Tsuwari to let anything truly harmful reach them. Yet she also knew that Glayse's intentions for Tsuwari were not the purest. Rose knew this, had known this for months, and still Glayse was a present influence on Tsuwari. He had shown no outward signs of corrupting her foal as of yet, but the threat still hovered in silence.
"Is there something you had in mind, Glayse?" She was calm outwardly, if not sounding slightly withdrawn. She was ranting in her head.
Everything that had come to be she was now questioning. It was all in part to the incident the previous night. Where was Glayse in that time of need? Gone, and Rose still had no answer as to where. Then there was her own weakness, why couldn't she explain to Tsuwari the truth to further protect him from Glayse's influence? Then there was the question of Glayse and Tsuwari's relationship in itself. What did Tsuwari honestly mean to Glayse?

"Is there something you had in mind, Glayse?"
If there was one thing Glasye understood well, it was mares. And Rose didn't seem to be quite herself that morning.
"You," He said sweetly, nuzzling her neck with his soft muzzle. "Just you."

Rose's brows furrowed at Glayse's response. On any given normal day, she would have taken it as any mare in their right mind: a compliment worth pursuing further. But today it only seemed to bristle her off kilter mood all the more.
Sighing with a sulking weight pulling her shoulders down, Rose finally asked, "Glayse, do you love Tsuwari?"

"Glayse, do you love Tsuwari?"
Inwardly, Glasye rolled his eyes. Great. She's emotional.
The stallion raised his head, taking a half step back from her in order to meet her eyes with his own intoxicatingly orange ones.
Glasyed brushed her cheek with his muzzle, "What kind of question is that?" He asked quietly. "Of course I do." The stallion closed the space between them, pressing his broad chest to hers as he wrapped his neck around her in a kind of hug. "Why would you think I didn't?"

Rose's ear's turned under, a slight example of her irritation. Perhaps she had phrased it wrong. It wasn't a question of if, but of how and to what degree.
Trying not to seem too whiny, she nuzzled him back. "What I mean is, how do you? In what way?"

By keeping his head against her neck, Glasye wouldn't have to worry about his facial expression, or what she could read from it.
"He's my son, Rosey-love," the stallion replied with a hint of incredulousness to his voice, "A little piece of me and you. And he's special to me."
Come on, woman.. I'm hungry.

Rose couldn't help but twitch her ear in irritation. This conversation was going no where, and really what more did she expect? When had Glayse ever truly given her a straight answer? Never, that's when.
For a moment she tapped her hoof on the island counter, as if the clicking would coax some answer out of him. Finally, she gave up entirely, and slipped from under his hold, making her way toward the fridge. Waiting inside was a box of instant waffles. Rose then stubbornly sat the box down in front of Glayse and said, "Here's breakfast."
Half ignoring any objection Glayse may have had at that point, the unicorn made her way out the back door and into her fenced off garden. Pausing, then changing her mind, Rose pushed her head back in. "I promised a friend I'd help him with a few plant related issues, so I'll be gone a while."
I don't like leaving Tsuwari alone with him...
"It'll just be you and Tsu for breakfast," Her most pleasant, faux smile was plastered on her face. Then she was back out to the yard.
