Packing a small duffle bag that would easily fit around her wings, Kail frowned. It would be nice to get away from the nursery, but at the same time she didn't want to leave the kids here without her. What if something happened? What if someone was hurt?
A sigh escaped her sea green lips. It was sometimes hard to remember that there wasn't *always* trouble in Ponyville, just in late summer it seemed. And this was early spring. She still had at least one season to get through. Besides, Karma was going to stay at the nursery and help out and visit Dark while Kail was in DV.
With her small bag full (she wouldn't need much, most of her stuff was still at home for lack of space at the nursery), Kail took it downstairs and waited for the knock on the door that would be her sister.

BEEP! BEEP! Outside the nursery on the colored stones of the road, a pony was driving too fast in a flashy new scooter. He was saying hello to random ponies on the street and speaking very loudly to be heard above the whir of the motor. It didn't even occur to him that they were not smiling back because they were too frantic to get out of his way and their waving was actually panic or... well... not really that friendly. image by JewelRazzaroo leaned to the left and he leaned to the right. His teeth chattered as he bounced along the street. He had bought the scooter with some of the money he had gotten from GFI after the fire. His agent had mysteriously disappeared after the attack of the gods, but apparently not before filing the paperwork for his claim. It was such a shame what had happened to the agent's associate. Razz didn't think it was at all comfortable being stuffed in a fridge like that. These were the shenanigans one had to put up with nowadays, though. Much to his surprise, he'd gotten a rather large sum of money. If he'd been a smarter pony, he might have even wondered if there had been a filing error, but, since he wasn't, he had fixed his hot air balloon and was rebuilding his shop. Now he had this nifty little scooter with which to run errands. The scooters had become quite popular in town, but this one was the best by far. It was all sleek, shiny metallic purple and freshly waxed. He was very excited to bring it home for the first time today after having driven it around a few times at the dealership. "Kail!" he called out as he slowed to a stop in front of the nursery. He wanted to show everyone his new toy. BEEP! BEEP!

Kail! BEEP! BEEP!
Sea green ears perking up, Kail hoped to the Rainbows that what she heard didn't mean what she thought it meant. Taking a quick peek out the door's spyhole she saw that it did. Oh there were going to be so many more bumps and bruises to heal now. Oh Rainbows.
Opening the door, Kail pasted a smile on her face and put her bag on the front stoop so she could grab it easily. "Razz! You have a... scooter. Great." She continued to smile even though she felt something a bit closer to dread at the sight of her absentminded, clumsy boyfriend on a big dangerous scooter.
(*sqweets cause she gets to call him her boyfriend*)
Before Kail could say anymore, and thankfully since all she could say other than that would have been a big lie, a little orange blur ran around to the front of the nursery with a big squeal. "A scooter! My turn! My turn!" Sherbet climbed up onto the back of the scooter, waiting for Razz to get off so she could play with it herself.

Razz was grinning from ear to ear as Kail came out. He waved and waved and even as she came up next to him he was still waving. This is just how excited he was. Then he raised his nose and gave Sherbert a smug smile as she climbed up behind him.
"Now, now, little lady," he said, full of glee. "A scooter is no mere toy for foals. You have to be appropriately attired to ride." With this he hopped off the scooter and addressed some packages in the basket on the back.
The first one he opened had a big purple helmet with a sea-green star on it. He put it on his head. The next package had a slightly smaller helmet. It was white with bright pink hearts on it. He placed it on Sherbert's head. "This is Sky's helmet, but I bet it fits you, too. Strap it on and I'll give you a ride up and down the street."
He turned to Kail. "You wanna go, too? I have another helmet." He blushed, too shy to say outright that he'd gotten a third helmet especially for her. The idea of having a real girlfriend still got him in a fit of giggles. Kail brought out all his happiness.

Kail's fake smile quickly turned genuine as Razz brought out the third helmet - she understood. "Go for a ride? On that thing? It would probably be safer in your ballon!" Kail laughed; she really hated that ballon. Why use a ballon when wings could get you around just as well? She never would understand the earthers.
"You take Sherbet for this one and if I have time before my sister comes I will hop on for the next one. It probably wont fit three anyways." She gave him a quick nuzzle on the cheek as Sherbet finished hooking up her helmet and plopped herself down, ready to go.
"This is gonna be fun!" the little orange filly squealed.

As was norm, a black cloud of smoke blasted forth behind Kail before Dark yelled right into her ear. "HIYA KAIL!!!!" The gloom that hung over him last time was gone now, partly because he just gave Kail a shock and that Karma was with him. He was grining ear to ear, and any atempt at hurting him would be swiftly dogded by the normal Shadow Image skill. He started laughing then, but managed to wave to Razz before falling over from laughter. "I thought I'd save you some energy by teleporting ya home so you don't have to fly. Besides, Karma insisted." Under his breath, he swiftly added something. "Without her knowing, that is."
Nodding, he smiled as he ruffled her mane like she was still a kid. "Your folks are looking forward to seeing you, Kail. Your Mom wants to speak with you about something, too."

The blast blew against Razz's helmet, but since the shield was down he could stare in wide-eyed wonder at Dark. He always thought this poofing in and out was such a neat trick. He nodded to him and then turned to Sherbert.
"Hang on!" And with this he kicked the scooter into zippity-zoom mode and off the two of them went. Up the road and down the road, careening left and right, nearly taking out old pony McFinster, who proceeded to jump up and down and shake his cane. Razz smiled and waved to him.
After a few laps back and forth, Razz brought the scooter to a halt in front of the nursery again.

Kail jumped and screamed in surprise as Dark suddenly appeared behind her and yelled in her ears. Forget the scooter! HE was going to be the death of her!
Swinging around quickly to box his ears it didn't work and Kail frowned. "You be careful or I will sic the kids on you," she said pointing a threatening hoof on him. The kids were always happy to crawl over and tickle anyone.
She tried to dodge out of his way as he ruffled her hair. Rainbows, just because she looked like a kid didn't mean she had to be treated like one. "I bet she does want to speak to me, thanks so much." Kail tried to frown, but it was very hard. "And thanks for the lift home, I was dreading the flight."
~~~~~~~
Sherbet squealed in excitement as they started to go on the scooter. It was so much fun! It was the most fun she had ever had ever! Razz was the coolest dad in the world. "Faster faster!" she kept yelling between squeals of delight that peeled down the street after them.
Dark smirked as he watched Razz speed off so chaoticly. Yea, Kail sure could pick them... "Yeah, but would you rather I turn them into an army of sword weilding ninjas, now would ya?" Of course he wouldn't do that to innocent kids, but the threat certainly came across as real. "No worries, Karma will take good care of them; And when she's out with me, Ratchet can amuse them!" The metalic unicorn suddenly triped into the room tangled up in a giant metal frame ball. He gave a quick grin before rolling into the wall to get it to fall apart, burying him under a pound of metal. Dark stared at him for a moment before grining. "Eh, don't worrry, he'll build something to keep them amused."
Ratchet swiftly snached up the pipes and headed out the back door while saying high to any of the kids he passed. The most amuseing thing was the U-pipe stuck on his horn. When he got out side, he started building, as natural for him. "Twist there, bolt here, nail right at this spot..." Dark turned back to Kail with a smile. "He'll be a while."
"Ok, just a few more times," Razz said to Sherbert. And together they zippity-zoom-barumed up and down the street some more. This time Razz came to a screeching halt in time to let a family of ducks cross the road. Then he zipped off again, nearly taking out the postal box on the corner.
(haha! I forgot to actually play Karma last time ) Karma sent a delayed elbow into Dark's chest for scaring Kail. Hopefully it would be enough of a surprise coming late that she would hit him - he had gotten much better at dodging them lately. Then she turned to Kail and gave her a big hug. Kail squeezed her back, "you look so good!" She was right, Karma (unlike the last time Kail had seen her) was back to her shimmery silver-black coat with the faint blue aura surrounding her. A small crystal necklace was around her neck, and her hair shinned in the sun. "You look so... green!" Karma laughed. She hadn't seen Kail since the green stripe had come back to join her. Underneath all the green the darker pony could just make out Kail's signature aura. "So, that's him?" Karma nodded down the street at the scooter as Kail grinned. "That's him. I tell you right now, I'm glad your a healer too, cause I wouldn't feel safe leaving Razz or the kids here without one, especially not with that new scooter."
Dark nodded at the thought. "Razz with a machine that puts the kids at risk... You sure he's the right guy for you, Kail? I mean he nearly runs over old folks!" Of course he was kidding, and he had faith Razz would take good care of her; But he still gave Dark ammo to tease her over. And since he was too busy laughing, Karma's elbow hit him right on the mark. He rubbed his chest, the many trials he had been through toughening him up quite well. Dark could take a thrown table to the face, provided he didn't dodge, and only barely flinch. Well, that bare flinch would be a ninja star to the eye in retortion. He just laughed off Karma's attack, before turning back to Kail. "If there's anything good about being Earth Born, it's that we have more solid bones and stronger muscles than Pegs."
He smiled as he nuzzled Karma. "And that makes us physcaly tougher than most. Imagene the abuse I take from Karma! Oh, woes me and the fact I love a lovely mare who is able to abuse me as she sees fit! Eh, who cares? I'm just lucky to know her, and be by her side. I'm sure Razz would brave the same things I did for you, Kail. 'Foolish is the warrior that overlooks the wisdom of the trickster.' In lamens terms, Razz may seem nuts, but I'm posative he's far more knowledgeable than he comes across to everyone else. You'll make a great bride for him, Kail. Now lets get you home!"
Before she could speak, Dark warped her and returned in a single minnete. One of his eyes was twitching as he held one hoof on his ribs. "Kail shoved a bookself on me." Seeing the look on Karma's face, he had his other eye widen. "WHAT I DO?!!! I mean first she pushed a bookself on my, and then Bella AND Canto threw books at me!" Thankfuly, Dark had already warped his books Canto found for him to the Dojo; Then again, the War And Peace for Dummies edsion really hurt most.
(*blinks* Kail kinda wanted to say bye to Razz before she just up and winked away. And I cannot see her father letting her throw any bookshelves or books at anyone! What a waste of good books!)
(Anywho, I will reply later because my brain is officially dead right now. See LJ for more details)
Razz brought the scooter to a halt in front of the nursery and removed his helmet. He looked around for Kail and realized she was gone. He knew she was leaving, but wasn't she even going to say good-bye? He felt his heart pounding in his chest for a moment and then it relaxed again. Maybe she did say goodbye and he just didn't notice. Yes, yes. That was it. At least she'd said goodbye when he wasn't looking. He smiled to himself.
"OK, Sherbert, ride's over!" He turned to the filly behind him.
[[Gosh, I would, if I knew where it was...lol.]]
(well, I was going to tell you that my LJ was the same as my IM, but then I remembered that somebody doesn't have IM. tsktsk. www.livejournal.com/users/delphinbella/ and that was just before lunch.) "Stronger muscles?!" Kail said indignantly. "You have the ground to support you! You need much stronger muscles to fly - you have to support your own weight on nothing but these tiny wings." She lifted hers out to show, but Dark had gone on blabbering about love and Karma and Razz. She looked at Razz warmly as he rode down the street with the little Explosion in tow. "Yes, I think you are right Dark..." but she didn't get any further before he winked her home.... ~~~~~~~~ Karma shook her head as Dark returned and started lamenting his injuries. "I neither believe that Kail would shove a bookcase down on you, nor that her father would actually let her, and contribute himself. Books are more precious than gold in that household." She smiled warmly and nuzzled him. "And you left sort of fast, I was hoping to get some dirrections, or something." Karma had never taken care of kids (except Kail and her own daughter), and she'd never been much of a mother to her own, so she was a little weary about all the many little foals in this place. As Razz stopped before the building, Karma went out to meet him finally. Sticking out a dark hoof that glowed with a soft blue, she smiled, "nice to finally meet you Razzaroo. I'm gonna be staying here in Kail's place for the week, so if you need any help, be sure to let me know." She wanted to maybe add something about Kail leaving much to abruptly to say goodbye, but she kept her mouth shut about it.
