Another foal suddenly bounced out of nowhere. He would have been easy to miss, if he didn't somehow manage to be both everywhere at once, and loud.
He was a young flutter, a slender wraith of a colt that managed to be lithe and not feminine. His coat was the rich dark brown of freshly tilled earth, but his wings, mane, and tail were all a dark and vibrant red. The only light colors were the cornsilk yellow streaks in his mane and tail, and the orangey yellow full moon that graced his hindquarters. His brown eyes fairly sparked, even in the light.
He scarcely stood still. "Hey everybody! My Daddy is away on a trip and Mommy said that if she didn't gid rid of me for awhile here, she'd do so in a more perm...perm-a-mint fashion, whatever that means. So I'm here for today!" He saw a few ponies he didn't recognize. "My name is Harvest Moon! You can call me Moon but not Harvey...noooo....I hate that." He made a face.

Meera looked interestedly at the colt that had just arrived. Hmm...another baby flutter. She stepped forward.
"Hi there. I'm Mesmira, but people call me Meera." For lack of anythiing better to do, the filly held the fortune teller towards him. "Do you want to play with this?"
She had learned to read at a young age, thus having a good vocabulary. And as far as she could tell, Harvest Moon's mother seemed like a less-than-responsible parent - in fact, downright dangerous.

Twilight looked at the new foal with a smile. Well, this one certainly seemed to be full of life.

A white pegasus filly came outside. She was in a gloomy mood, but yet cheerily watched the scooter. "Hello." She deep in thought. Mommy and daddy were gone forever, and her reckless sister had disappeard just a few days before that at Dazzling Beach...

"Hello," Twilight said, to both of the appearing foals. "I am Twilight." Then she turned to the white pegasus who had come out of the nursery. "And what might be your name?"
She could see the filly was distracted by some thought or another, and felt sympathy for her, like always for any foal. She came to think it might be very difficult to choose a foal from here to adopt. What would she take for a criteria? Twilight loved foals and would have gladly taken them all to live with her, if it weren't for the fact that she simply could not do so. She might have two, or possibly even three, but to a mare who lived alone even that was quite much.

(continued from inside)
Sherbet had taken the fruit Swirl had pushed into her hand before running outside to play on the scooter some more. She loved Dark, and his magic and sword were fun, but a scooter ride beat all.
Forgetting about the few berries still in her hoof she lept out the door and landed in the grass, squishing them into the dirt and trying to shake off the juice that was left on her hoof with a smile. She gave it a lick, and spit out the dirt, before turning to the scooter.
"Moon!" she gave another little jump of happiness and trotted over to him. Moon was alot of fun - if he was coming on the scooter ride they were sure to have fun.

"Loo," Honow Loo replied shyly to Twilight. She glanced over to the scooter. She hoped that if there was going to be any scooter ride, she could join the fun too.

"Hi there. I'm Mesmira, but people call me Meera." For lack of anythiing better to do, the filly held the fortune teller towards him. "Do you want to play with this?" Harvest Moon's ears swiveled sharply towards Meera, and it wasn't long until the rest of him followed. He tilted his head and looked at the fortune teller. "What is it? I've never seen one before, is it fun?" When he heard Sherbet, he bounced up an down a bit. "Hi! Lookit, have you played with one of these before?" He gestured towards the fortune teller. ((OOC: hehe, Moon's parents are actually rather nice, it's just that he can be rather exasperating. My mom and I used to threaten to sell my sister all the time...*coughs*))

(hehe *understands completely*)
Orange head turning on its side to look at the fortune teller closely, Sherbet regarded it with interest. But as it wasn't doing anything at the moment, she quickly lost all the interest she might have had in it. "Nope, never seen it."
Turning to the newest pony to the scene, Sherbet said a warm hello to Twilight and then bounced over to Razz. "Are we ready yet? Can we go now?"

((Since inside isn't going anywhere...))
In yet another traditional smoke bomb cloud, Dark appered behind Twilight, speaking from the black smoke before it faded, reviling his half silver white, half faded navy body and his fire orange, red and yellow mane. "Already causeing mayhem and chaos so early, Razz?" The ninja cuckled as he walked over and lightly punched him in the sholder in a friendly manner. "Oh yea, Kail's gonna have her hooves full once you two get hitched! Hey, give her a few gray hairs for me, will ya?"
Dark's good mood was easily caught like a virus this morning. Then again, he just got a long time coming bit of nookie from Karma last night. And he wasn't going to mention THAT to anybody; If he did, Karma would have his aura turned into a pretzel.

"Is it fun?"
"Very fun", Meera replied, disappointed at not being able to hold Sherbet's interest for long. She was hoping to win it back. "It tells your future!" The filly put stress on the word "future", knowing that would attract a bit of attention. "Just pick a yes or no question, a color - let's say a primary color, a number 1-4, and another number 1-4."
Then she opened all the flaps of the fortune teller to show them the yes's and no's printed on the paper, hoping that would help them catch on. After she'd done so Meera wondered if Razz or Twilight had noticed and realized that their answers were no longer there.
Then Mesmira jumped and gave a small yelp when Dark appeared. She was very jumpy and easily spooked, and told herself with an inward sigh that she would have to get used to that.

Sherbet's ears swiveled back as Meera said the little paper thing would tell her future. She immediately bounced back, forgetting all about the scooter, and hopped around the new filly for a moment. "Can it tell my future? Can it?"
Crouching down as if she were about to pounce, the little Explosion waited for an answer.
*********
Karma followed Dark outside. Although she was weary of going on some sort of ride with all the children, she figured she better, as she was their best source of healing right now. Rolling her eyes at her boyfriend (she was quite sure that even with Razz and a nursery full of children Kail was not going to show any gray for years and years to come) the dark pony stood to the side and merely kept an eye on all the various auras, trying to learn one from the other well enough to help actually run the nursery.

Mesmira was excited to see that she had captured Sherbet's attention once more. "It can tell anyone's future - the fortune teller knows all!"

Twilight followed on the foal's chatting with half an ear, examining each of them in silence in order to determine what they were like.
When Dark appeared in the smoke, Twilight was only slightly startled, and turned her head towards the stallion, another ear turned towards him and another towards the foals. She smiled, dipping her head to him in silent greeting. Soon after, she also nodded to Karma, who appeared from within the nursery. She was happy to see at least one adult pony who appeared more responsible there, at least apparently with the intention of looking after the foals. After a few experiences on stallions she had noticed that they tended to either not have the patience to take care of foals well enough or hadn't grown up enough themselves to be in charge of anyone else. Well, there were exceptions, of course, but what with the scooter and all, she was slightly sceptical.
"Hello," she murmured softly to Dark and Karma both, moving a little closer to the mare, in order to get out of the middle of the hustle. She was used to solitude and meditation, not fuss.

"Adopt, why yes, yes we do that," Razz said to Twilight. He had begun a ramble about papers and the daily goings on of the nursery and wasn't interrupted until Dark hit him in the shoulder. "Ow."
Kail? He looked around. Something about Kail, but alas it wasn't that she'd sprung back up again in Ponyville. Razz frowned, disappointed. Then he realized quite a crowd had gathered to hear him talk and he blushed.
"Ok, well, enough of that," he said. "Let's get up on this thing." He pointed to the scooter. "Some can ride behind me, but the rest have to go in the cart in the back. And everyone has to wear a helmet."
He grabbed the big box out of the back and dropped it on the ground. Inside was an assortment of old knight helms, a football helmet, a construction hard hat, a hard fireman's hat, a hard baseball helmet, and a astronaut helmet.
He grabbed his "official" scooter helmet and put it on his head just as Sky Feathers bounded out of the nursery. Razz plopped Sky's helmet down on her head and gave Kail's helmet to Karma.
