"Not much..." The filly frowned as her mind drifted back to the incident with her nanny. She'd been very young at the time, and it was one of her earliest memories - but the events that followed would be hard to forget. "...I mean, really I don't anymore. I'm not very good anyway." Meera liked it here, and as much as she used to like seeing other ponies confused by her "pranks", she didn't want anything to happen to force her to find a new home.

The dark mare had been upstairs in Kail's room where she was staying until her sister returned, not paying that much attention to what was happening downstairs as she looked out the window. There was an unnatural amount of olive green in many of the passerby's auras out on the street. Or rather, there was an unusual percentage of auras with olive green in them, especially for this time of year.
Maybe she aught to warn Razz that taking the kids out a whole lot right now might not be a good idea, especially if the flu was going around.
Deciding that must be all that was happening, just a late flu epidemic, nothing too severe, Karma walked down the stairs and found the note Razz had left almost immediately. She visibly paled as she read it, and would have come close to collapsing on the floor if she hadn't closed her eyes on focused on her own aura.
Without thought to who might be watching, kids or no, Karma quickly raised her forelegs above her head, clapped her hooves together, and brought them down on both sides to strengthen her aura, letting it glow slightly around her.
Finally, she turned and noticed a new aura in the room - older than the foals and unfamiliar to her, although friendly enough.
"Hello."

Shadoweaver had vanished sometime during the campout to think, but she did not stay away. The dark flutter slipped into the nursery silently, casting her gaze around until sky blue eyes settled on Meera.
Finally she approached the young flutter. "Heya."

Meera gave a slight jump and looked up at the flutter from the night before - the one that had offered to adopt her. Immediately she brought her eyes back down to Loo's drawing and she responded quietly, "Hi."

Whisper Wind heard that somebody came downstairs. Looking up, she saw a mare.
"Hello."
The children were not alone in the house, then? Good. She smiled nervously at the mare she did not recognize. "Hi." She rised from the floor. "I'm Whisper Wind. Do you know where Kailani is?"

Karma smiled at the aura that spoke of only good intentions toward her sister. "Kail's spending the week at home in Dream Valley. She asked me to come and take care of the children in her absense. I'm her sister, Karma."
Holding out a dark silver hoof that glowed with a pleasant blue aura, Karma hoped that one week was all Kail would be gone now that the Rainbow had been stolen.

The unicorn lifted a hoof to shake Karma's. She was such a beautiful mare. Whis did not know what to say anymore. She thought hard. As Kail had given her premission to sleep at the nursery, she really hoped that it was okay for Karma too. But it was Kailani's siter after all. The youngster smiled. Slowly, she turned around to pick up her drawing. With a purple crayon, she wrote: 'To Loo From Whisper Wind' in the corner of it, and handed it over to the little pegasus she knew as 'Loo'.
"Thank you!" Honoulu beamed.

"S'matter?" Shadoweaver folded her legs and sat down on the floor next to Meera. "Sorry I vanished on you last night. I had to think a bit--dangeorus, I know, but sadly required." She almost smiled--a rare thing for the solemn mare. "My offer is still open, by the way. You could come with me...have a room all to your own, if you like. Though you're more than welcome to come here as often as you wish." She tilted her head and looked at Meera, hesitant...even afraid, in a way, of rejection.

The filly kept her eyes on the floor and said in a soft, barely audible voice, "I'd like that." Then she looked up enough so that part of Shadoweaver's hooves were in her line of vision and said a bit more loudly, "But...are you sure that's what you want? I just...think that...you don't have to feel sorry for me. I've only been here a day, and all these other kids..."
Meera frowned and trailed off. She hadn't been here, but she hadn't had a home either. And she truly wanted to be adopted, so why didn't she just say so? I don't want to be a burden to everyone - to all these nice ponies. Not anymore.

"What about alla us other kids?" Raposa inquired bouncily, plopping herself down rudely between the Shadoweaver and Meera. Again, her lack of social skills prevented her from sensing the awkwarness of the situation.

Shadoweaver looked at Raposa, quite taken aback. "Hey Harvest Moon," she said quickly. "Look! Here's a new friend for you." Shadoweaver sprang to her feet, sidestepping the newcomer and putting herself closer to Meera.
Harvest Moon, perky little baby flutter that he was, abandoned whatever he had been up to. "Heya!" He bounced over to Raposa. "Wanna see the tower I'm building with blocks? It's really neat, though I think it's leaning kinda funny..." Without quite waiting for an answer, he tried to haul her back into the corner.
Shadoweaver plopped back down onto the floor. "I'm sure this is what I want. And I don't feel sorry for you. I just feel that...this is what I should do. We could probably do eachother a lot of good." She eyed Meera shrewdly. "You won't be a burden to me, either."
(OOC: Shameless use of a spare charrie--sorry, Vos, but I'd really like to continue this uninterupted.)

Meera wasn't quite clear on what she wanted anymore, and her head was spinning slightly. "Well then..." She felt it was a rather unceremonious way to go about it - if she did want to live with this mare(and she truly believed she did), then would it be too rude to not have as strong a reaction to the offer of adoption? But then, she wasn't really one to overreact.
"Well, that would be good then", she finally said, quickly and quietly so that it was difficult even to hear.

Feeling somewhat out of place, Karma excused herself and went to the kitchen to make tea. Before Dark she would have never thought of having tea, never dreamed of drinking the boring, watered down liquid. But when he had left that was all she seemed to drink, as if it would make him come back. And miracle of miracles he had returned. And now all they drank together was tea. How romantic right?
Karma smiled to herself at the thought and by the time she brought the steaming cup back out to the living room area still half-covered with cots she noticed a distinct change in most of the auras around her. She recognized Shadoweaver's aura, although she hadn't known the mare was here, and Meera's certainly seemed to be a swirl of strange emotions.
Knowing not to interupt the two, Karma made her way back to WhisperWind. "There any reason you need Kail? Cause I'm not sure it will be possible to get ahold of her for a while."

Whisper could smell the tea. She smiled at herself. Karma made her way back into the room.
"There any reason you need Kail? Cause I'm not sure it will be possible to get ahold of her for a while."
"Oh. No...not really. It's just...I lived here a few months ago, just for a couple of days, and Kail was the one who gave me permission to do so. She said that I could sleep here, and that we should find me a job." The youngster tossed her slightly tangled mane, hoping that Karma would allow her to stay. "...Why is that? That Kail won't be here...? Is Razaroo and Swirl gone, too?"

"Oh! Well you can stay," Karma laughed, which helped to ease the unrest she had been feeling since reading Razz's note. "As far as I've been told most everyone is welcome. Although I would be horrible to go job-searching with, I don't know the town yet."
"Swirl is still here, somewhere, but Razz left to, uh, go find Kail. Or not find her, we all know where she is, but to just go to her I guess. They've got some... buisness to attend to." Thinking it best not to start widespread panic around town about the missing Rainbow, she let WhisperWind think whatever she wanted to about their "buisness".
