Whis blushed slightly when Karma laughed. Well, that sounded great!
...Buisness? The unicorn had no clue of what that could mean, but she disliked to put her nose in to other ponies' buisness, so she decided not to ask. The teen could not, in her wildest dreams, imagen what had just happened in Dream Valley.
But how would it affect her? She was Xanadian, after all - a child of the Great Moon. It was a part anicent Xanadian culture, so the inhabitants there still prayed to the moon, who had guided their ancestors for so long. Not that they really beliveved to moon to be a god or something, not today, eh? But really, Whis would for sure get worried if she heard the truth.
A thought struk her all of a sudden. She looked up at the silvery mare again. "...Where are you from?" She asked in a polite way. She did not really suspect Karma to be Xanadian, though - 'cause she would not believe Kailani to be one.

"I was born in a small town on the other side of Dream Valley, but since I was nearly 18 I've been living with the Hoofspens in Dream Valley." Karma smiled, it was quite obvious at a glance that she wasn't Bella and Canto's child. Bella, a peg, had passed down nearly every trait to her daughter Kail, while Canto, a unicorn, had passed on only his hair color and love of books. And while some may say they saw a resemblance between the unicorn and his adopted daughter, it only lasted as far as their softspoken natures and dark coats. But Karma wasn't the only adopted child who looked nothing like her 'parents' - Comet was even stranger still at a full head taller than any of the tallest ponies in Dream Valley and a plain chocolate brown coat with light tan hair. Why Bella and Canto had adopted either of them, and with Kail already quite visibly on the way in Comet's case, Karma could never quite figure out. She was always worried that their next trip to the nursery would result in taking home three or four new foals. Leaning in closer and whispering to WhisperWind as if telling a secret, Karma winked at her, "I'm not really Kail's sister." Oh no, Karma had a sister of her own. A real sister. A twin sister. And she had a feeling that her sister had been in town at least once, probably in the shadow of Chakra during the Rainbow War. But if no one thought to bring up the resemblance than neither would she. Although from the way things sounded, this youngin hadn't been in town long enough to have seen the Rainbow War. (gosh, sorry! I didn't realize I missed playing Karma that much )

((Whis--The Black Dragon Inn is hiring. And you have its owner right here. *grins* Thought I'd throw that out there))
Shadoweaver was not always one to react strongly, herself, so she didn't take Meera's lack of reaction amiss. She barely caught Meera's response, but it was enough. "Just let me know when you're ready, and we can wander back to the Inn..." Shadoweaver took a moment to glance around. She hadn't been paying too much attention to her surroundings until then.

[Becka: It's OK if you write much. I mean, isn't it interesting when you get the opportunity to add some of the character's history into the post? Shadow: Wow, that's great. Whis would fit in a café. ] So, Karma and Kail were not biological sisters? The little uni did not know what to reply to that. It did not matter for Whisper if ponies were siblings by blood or not - love and care is what counts. Personally, she got two sisters and three brothers. It was very complicated, but she did not share their blood entierly - Her father had two with his new mate. Her mother, Lily of the Valley, had one with her new mate. And Lily's new mate had two kids from a earlier relationship. As Whis did not really know what to say, and to change the subject, she asked: "Um, did you make some tea, Karma...?" ~~~ Honoulu-Loo put the papers and crayons back on a shelf, and went to see what the baby flutter was up to. She had never seen any similar pony - except for the big one, Shadoweaver. But she did not really dare to talk to her. Loo looked over at Moon's lustrous wings with awe. "Can I play with you, too?" She asked shyly. "I like to build," the peg smiled.

[Oh - and I probobly should wait for Whis to mention job seeking again, since Shadoweaver seems a little...busy. ]

"Sure!" Harvest Moon said cheefully to Honoulu-Loo. "Building is one of my favorite things to do! Of course, knocking everything down when you're done is fun, too..."
((OOC: Actually, Shadoweaver can now be interrupted, if you want to ask her about a job...))

"Just let me know when you're ready, and we can wander back to the Inn..."
Meera just stood where she was for a moment. I guess I am ready to go...I have nothing to take with me...no one to say goodbye to... The filly tried to keep herself from becoming too depressed and looked over at Raposa, who'd been dragged away by the other baby flutter, and was glad to see Honolu Loo there too.
Walking a bit more slowly than usual over to the corner, she said shyly, "Um...'bye, Raposa. 'Bye, Loo. 'Bye..." She paused and realized she couldn't remember the last foal's name. Um...was it...Harvey? No, maybe not... "...Well, um, 'bye everyone!", Meera finally finished quickly, hoping she hadn't hurt the flutter foal's feelings.
((Okay - just stalling so Whis can ask about a job.))

Raposa looked from Harvest Moon to Loo excitedly. They both liked to build things. So did she.
"Cool!" she said to the other two ponies, "We all like to build! Maybe if we all work together, we could build a HUGE castle!"
Without waiting for a reply, she began building. She gestured for Moon and Loo to join her.

It was a good thing Meera hadn't called him Harvey--Harvest Moon hated that particular nickname. He just waved, without seeming to notice that she hadn't said his name at all. "Who should build what?" He looked at Raposa. "We need a moat if we're building a castle..."
Shadoweaver regarded Meera quietly, feeling the filly's sadness seep into her. **What am I, some bloody empath?** She thickened her mental shields and sighed inwardly as the feeling faded. How strange.

Whisper suddenly got a wicked idea, and before it was too late to ask, she said: "Shadow, where do you work? Could I help you out there?"

Honulu-Loo looked over at Meera. "Bye." Then she turned back to her new friends, to start building.
[Sorry, quick reply]

"Oh," Raposa said apoligetically to Meera. She'd been so caught up in the whole building project that she hadn't responded to her farewells. "Bye Meera. Have fun... Wherever you're going." She trotted over to Meera and gave her a quick hug, thinking nothing of it, before she returned to the yet-to-be-made castle.
"Hmm..." she pondered carefully, "Let's see. We're gonna need a watch tower, an armory... but I'm not sure just how to make a moat." Raposa had always been interested in all the Medieval stuff, dragons, castles, warriors, the whole lot. Ao this had to be perfect. Or at least remotely so.

Shadoweaver grinned. "I'm dying for help, acutally. You know the Black Dragon Inn? It's mine, and I need help there when I'm not around. Swing by sometime, and we can talk about it. I need to head off now, though..." Suddenly feeling a bit giddy with relief--some help, at last!--she gave Meera a gentle nudge. "Off we go?"
Harvest Moon frowned thoughtfully. "Well, maybe we can think of something later? For now..." he snagged some blacks and started working ion a guard tower.

"I did," Karma smiled as she watched the flash of color rush through Whis, giving away her thoughts. "I'll go make you some."
As she walked back into the kitchen, to the still-warm kettle, she heard Whis ask Shadoweaver about a job and smiled to herself. The flutter would be good for the somewhat shy little unicorn.
(OOC: just want to clear up that Karma cannot read minds, just feelings. But she's been doing it so long she can tell about what other's are thinking most times)

"Umm... Okay!" Raposa grinned as she began construction on an armory.
"What do you want to work on, Loo?" She didn't look up from her multi-colored armory as she asked, completely absorbed in it all.

Meera watched Raposa return to her building, a little confused. She'd never had a real friend before. "Thanks, Raposa...", she said, although the other filly was already wrapped up in building the block castle's armory and had most likely not heard her.
She looked up at Shadoweaver and nodded slowly. "Um, yeah - I think I'm ready to go now."
