Ok, so to try to accomodate everyone possible with times and such we will be holding the 2nd annual IC Character Chat (ie. the 2nd annual PV Nursery Fest Eve Party) all day on monday the 20th through tuesday the 21st. You can come and go as you please (and as your schedual dictates) but you must be in character at all times. Therefore, if you leave, your character must also leave the party and you need to think of an excuse (going to get more punch fixings because once again the punch was spiked, you know, something like that). You can, however, play more than one character while there. If you do want to say something OOC, either surround it with parenthesis like on the message boards, or PM the person you want to talk to (there should be a PMing feature on the chat somewhere, probably right clicking on their name). The chat starts with whoever reaches monday first (obviously AU/NZ will reach it before the US, so if you are in the US and you know what time it is in NZ like I do cause I'm weird, you can start chatting then) and ends whenever we go to bed at the end of the 21st. Last year that wasn't until well into the next morning EDIT: uh, its already monday in NZ/AU, so you can start chatting whenever! Same rules apply as in the game (if you don't know the rules you really shouldn't be playing, but if you need to check them out they are in the info section at www.delphinbella.com/C03.html). Have fun, and I will see you all there! ;D

Hehe.. thought I'd post a recap of what I was there for. So here's my review! Delta and Jewel helped Kail decorate before the guests arrived. Coon spiked the punch again, and she, Razz, and Yama all had quite their fill of it. Coon started hitting on the Festival tree, Yama passed out drunk, and Razz occupied himself scratching his ear on the floor, among other things. Moe came and ate almost everything. When Brigid and Inti came, Brigid and Moe got into a subliminal eating contest. Moe tried to recruit Coon to help him get as much of the food as he could, but she wasn't quite coherent enough to really understand. In the end, Brigid won, since gods can eat as much as they like. A bloated Moe went home soon after. Rose and Tsuwari came, and were greeted by Glasye in the form of a pony who he called "Novel" (see the Ponyville thread). Tsuwari had a great time playing with Sky Feathers and Explosion. Peri Winkle came dressed as Merry Treats, giving all the foals and some adults hoof-fuls of candy and other treats. He came back later as himself, and he and Jewel had their first kiss Apparently, after most of the guests left, Razz and Kail had a moment (or a few hours, I understand?) of talk about pancakes and cherry toppings, or something of the like. I think I need some help filling in the details here!

"I hope she gets to the castle safely," Kail sighed and sat down in a chair next to the table of food.
Razz didn't look at Kail, but nodded. "I'm sure she'll be safe. You mares seem to do well walking around town alone at night."
Kail smiled. "We have a knack for it, I think. Scare all the monsters away with our outrageously good looks."
Razz tried to laugh, but it came out soft and guarded. "Yes, you do that, don't you?" he sighed.
"Oh, it's just Ponyville, you don't have to act as if there are really that many dangers out on the streets..." Only in late summer, around Fest Eve, and probably some random day in March...
Razzaroo was not convinced. Not after the year he'd had. Not after all he'd been through. "Ponyville will never be the same, Kail," he said.
Kail frowned. "I know. But I'm still going to try and treat things as if they are normal." She was silent for a moment. "Maybe I should catch up and walk her home."
"No, no," he said. "No. Who would walk you home, then?"
A soft laugh followed that. "I can walk myself home. There isn't much that could do me in. Although the company is always nice."
Razz snorted. He knew Kail was perfectly capable of walking herself home...yet he couldn't help feeling she should never be out alone.
"Not that it matters. I'm always here anyways." Kail shrugged with a smile. She hadn't been out in the dark in ages. Hell, she hadn't been out without a tagalong tot in nearly a year.
"You have been doing a lot, haven't you?" Razz asked. "We all appreciate it, though. Especially me. Especially the kids. And me."
Kail smiled and muttered, "all in a day's work for the Hero." She had grown fond of Treat's nickname. "Well, I guess there is nothing else to do, so I can't complain..."
Razz started tapping his feet. "Nothing else to do?"
"It's not like I have a load of friends, or a boyfriend, or anything..."
"I-er..." Razz said. "Don't you have any goals or aspirations?"
Kail thought about it for a moment--her only goal moving here had been to get away from overprotective parents and the strange life she had led in Dream Valley.
Razz pretended not to hear Kail's comment about not having a boyfriend, but of course his ears drooped all the same.
Once she moved here, life proved to continue to be strange, if not stanger. "I don't know. I guess I used to want to write, or sing, or something...I got to the nursery and things just sorta fell into place. I'm good at it, the kids seem to like me, I couldn't leave them for anything in the world."
She shrugged. "I guess I don't have any goals."
"What did you use to write and sing about?" Razz was quite interested, of course.
Kail blushed. "Course. I've always loved Course. It's so different from here, and kind of simple and romantic in its way. Plus it's all I've ever read about, you know, because of my dad..."
"What's Course?" Razz asked, perplexed.
Kail had read all the history of Course (in her father's book on the subject), and all the mythis and stories and legends. It was sort of fairytailish.
"The Southern Continent. My parents grew up there, at least for most of their lives." That story was too long even to try to start, so she left it at that.[.. for about two seconds.]
"Oh," Razz said. That was interesting. "Do you miss your parents?" he asked, quietly[, but Kail had already begun talking about Course again.]
"It's very old. We have castles, sure, but they have palaces, and kings, and queens, and a whole royal court." She was starting to get excited just talking about the place.
"Yeah a little, but my mom always worried about something or another. Usually when it involved almost getting myself killed." Kail laughed. "My dad was much better about it. He's just a bookworm."
"And Coment can be a little much sometimes. A little too goofy." She smiled. "My house is a strange place to live."
Razz was thinking of his own mother. He smiled to himself.
"Who is Comet?" Razz asked.
"My brother. He's from the other side of the rainbow. Showed up one day and my parents took him in. He's a bit like you."
The comment left Razz feeling rather glum. Nothing like being told by the filly you love, for all practical purposes, that you remind her of her brother.
"What's on the other side of the rainbow?" Razz asked.
Kail turned a shocked expression toward the stallion. How could he not know about the other side of the rainbow?!
Razz felt the pressure of her gaze and looked away.
"You know, Megan, Firefly, the humans and the horses that are brown with no wings or horns or symbols." Didn't anyone outside of Dream Valley know?
Razz suffered to give her another blank stare.
Kail sat back in the chair, stunned. She assumed all ponies had heard of the other side. "Wow. Well, it was two generations ago. Dream Valley was in trouble, and Firefly, one of the pegs, flew across the rainbow for help.
"On the other side she found cities and such like ours, but they were full of humans! You know, like the kids play with here. And there were ponies, only they were very tall and plain-looking. And couldn't talk. She brought back a human named Megan and saved Dream Valley." Kail said.
Razz was wide-eyed.
"Those things the kids play with are real?" Razz asked. He was also trying to imagine not being able to talk.
"Yeah, I guess so..." suddenly Kail felt kind of stupid herself, spouting off all sorts of myths. "At least, Comet looks like one of the tall horses, but he has wings now..."
"He said it was all that way, just like in the stories, but I guess..." He could be lying? No, Comet wasn't the type to lie.
"Sometimes I wish I had wings," Razz said, having no reason to question the validity of the tale.
He looked at Kail and found himself saying, "I wish for a lot of things, sometimes."
"Comet didn't have them until he came across, maybe it's the same for earthers here. Maybe if I went across I would normal, too." She smiled, trying to make him feel better.
"Perhaps yoru wishes will come true if you aim for something a little lower than wings." Kail winked.
"If it would change you, I wouldn't want you to go, then," he said. "I love you just the way you are." He didn't even realize he'd said love instead of like.
Razz may not have realized it, but Kail heard it loud and clear. "Oh, I...uh...guess I will stay right here then..." She blushed and looked at the floor.
"I'd wish for no more bad things to happen," Razz said.
"Yeah, me, too," Kail said softly, but continued looking at the floor. Sometimes she felt like she could take the bad things, but it was this constant awkwardness she coudln't handle.
"And maybe to see my mom again." Razz continued. "If she still lives."
Kail had been fiddling unconsiously with the compass pendant around her neck and looked up at him when he said that.
"Well, maybe someday we can go find her."
Razz gave her a look. "You would go with me?"
"It would be a real adventure..." Kail smiled, hoping to lift his spirits. "We could use my compass, so we don't get lost."
Razz's gaze drifted to the compass. "Yes, a real adventure," he said. Except deep in his heart it wasn't the biggest adventure he'd dreamed of once upon a time. That adventure had set sails on a new horizon.
"We could travel all over Ponylnd. Go north to the mountains and south to Course and all the way to the Friendship Gardens, and whatever lies west."
Razz didn't want to go anywhere at all.
"Kail," he began.
"Yeah, I know. It's a silly idea. There's the nursery and the kids..." She put her head down again and dropped the compass from her hooves.
"Kail," he said again, more softly.
"Yeah?" She looked up at him and could feel her heart start beating faster. Rainbows, hadn't she learned her lesson already?
Razz felt queasy.
"I-uh."
*insert spiked punch vomit on Kail's hooves joke*
"I like the way your name sounds when I say it," he blurted out.
Kail laughed out of sheer relief. Hiding her face in her hooves so she wouldn't offend him, she laughed until tears were coming out of her eyes. "Yes, it's nice," she said, wiping at the tears and smiling brightly at him.
Razz's lower lip quivered as she began to laugh.
"That's not what I meant to say," he said.
"So you don't like the way it sounds, then?" Kail continued to giggle.
"No, I do," he said.
"Then what do you mean to say?" Her giggles were quelled and Kail looked at him with all seriousness.
"It's just that sometimes I feel lonely. Saying your name makes me feel..." but he couldn't finish the thought and his heart and breath were rushing as one. "I-I can't breathe."
"A-are you OK? Kail gave an inward sigh of relief. At least this was something she could handle emotionally. Healing, no problem. Facing the fact that the stallion she had a crush on for a year felt the same?
"Do you need me to do something?" she asked.
"Breathe for me," he said, softly, leaning into her.
(Of course, Kail took this literally...)
Kail was surprised and tensed up at once, holding her breath despite his plea. She slowly let her body relax, wrapping her wings and arms around him and breathing steadily, although quite self-consiously. It was sort of like healing someone, only more awkward. Still, she let her body relax a bit more and found that it wasn't quite THAT awkward. It was kind of nice...
Razz felt the touch of her wings on his body and gave an outward sigh.

"Do you ever have pancakes for breakfast?" Razz asked, sleepily.
Kail let out a small laugh. "Razz, we make pancakes all the time for the kids."
"Right," he laughed. "But what's your favorite thing to put on them?"
Kail couldn't help but smile--he was so quirky. "Um, I guess cherries. But not with syrup, that would be gross."
"Kailani, you're the cherries on the pancakes of my life." He knew it was a silly thing to say, but he was Razzaroo after all. He couldn't have said it any other way [not at that time of the morning when I was desperate for coffee].
"It was just about the corniest thing Kail had ever heard, kind of like a bad pickup line. She couldn't help but laugh at it, and gave him a quick squeeze with her wings.
Relief flooded Razz, then, making him feel a bit more confident.
"Really, I think about you all the time," he said. "Is that OK?"
"That's OK, you're on my mind a lot, too." Kail leaned her head back against the wall. "And here I thought you were offering to make me breakfast."
"I'd make you breakfast. Lunch. Dinner. Except, I'm not sure you like cabbage as much as I do."
Kail laughed softly again at that. "If you put cabbages on your pancakes then you truly are a strange stallion."
Razz opted not to admit it.
"Perhaps, instead of making you dinner, I can escort you to dinner some night. Something special? Away from the kids? And the mayhem?"
"That would be the best ever." No kids, bumps and bruises to take care of, no bedtimes to enforce, no mac and cheese again for dinner. A dinner out would be the perfect gift.
Razz shivered slightly out of sheer joy.
"It's a date, then" he said.
"Yes, a date." Her first ever, in fact. Kail could almost understand why Vel was so much about chasing stallions and having love affairs. It was kind of fun.

Awwwww ... but I can't believe I missed it again! When I got back from camping, it turned out that the computer had started to play up and wouldn't let anyone get onto windows because of the viruses infecting it ( which are now removed thankfully ^-^) So I couldn't get onto the internet. ahh well... maybe next year. I'm glad you guys had fun well, those who participated anyway.
