((I'll assume that Moony is able to see the yellow rainbow, since she is one of the champions ^-^ ))
The unicorn listened with interest. She wasn't keen on the idea of fighting in battles, so she was pleased that it was nothing more than guarding property during these times. Just as she was going to ask him something about carrots and Rogue, she noticed the yellow light that made its way over to her companion...
"Hn?" Moony blinked, confused by the event. Something odd, yet familiar, was happening to Hollow. He was now glowing a yellow colour like the light from before. As much as she wanted to ask him "are you alright?", he seemed fine, so she took to eyeing him carefully. The yellow aura was still there, but it had become faint. yellow... yellow aura... why does it ring a bell from somewhere?
The mare thought over what this must mean, yet the more she looked into the others eyes, the more clearer things became. She knew him from somewhere, not himself exactly, but there was something familiar about Hollow Heart that she did not notice before simply because it wasn't really there before. So... the yellow rainbow has chosen a new champion... but why now? Why not before when the former yellow champion had departed Ponyville?...
Moon Crystal smiled at him, not knowing what else to say or think...

Hollow saw from the mare's eyes that she, too, had understood what had happened. It would have been weird had she not, he knew. He thought to himself ironically if it was indeed the design of the Rainbow to draw him to the mare, the stripe of friendliness, to lure him in so he could not have the slightest chance of stealing away with the stripe or decline from the approaching battle.
He was slightly startled by the thought of battle. How had he come to think of battle? How did he know there would be battle? He regrouped his thoughts and considered this awhile. After careful consideration he then realised it was not knowing so much as guessing. It was only purely logical. The Champions had not been called for a long time now, because there had not been anything afoot. The fact that the stripes had become active could mean only one thing.
"There is going to be trouble," Hollow said gruffly, and pushed away his plate, half eaten. Suddenly he didn't feel hungry. He felt nauseous. Battle? Against what? For what? Suddenly he knew just whom he wanted to meet. His eyes grew hard. "The Indigo Champion. Who is it? I need... I need to talk with him."
[[being as he's filled up with the stripe, I assume here that Hollow would intuitively know about the powers of the other stripes, and some general things like that about the Champions. Anyone with better information on this, please correct me if I'm wrong.]]

"There is going to be trouble,"
Moony bit her lip. She didn't want to believe it, but it was the mostly likely reason that came to mind. And if it something to do with trouble, it would mean battle. And battling wasn't a favourite of Moony's...
It wasn't like she had anything wrong with being the Orange Champion though. She love the idea of being connected to the rainbow, to be part of something. It was one of the few things that made her feel special. It's just... The unicorn shook her head a little and paid her attention to answering the others questions.
"The Indigo Champion?" She brushed a lock of her mane away from her face as she thought about it. "He isn't here anymore. Cheif that is. He left ages ago, but I don't remember where to."
"There must be a new Indigo Champion though." Moony continued. "Well, I'm assuming anyway... but I don't really know who it is."

Hollow nodded, a stern look on his face. He was sure the Indigo Champion was not far. If the Rainbow had bothered in finding him to become the new Yellow Champion, either the old Indigo would return soon or a new one would be appointed. He bristled a little thoughtfully. He wanted to find the Indigo and ask a few questions. But for now, he had best let it go. He tried to smile to the mare.
"I guess we will be together longer than I thought," he said to her, a bit of gentleness creeping into his voice.

Moony nodded her head once.
"It looks like it huh?" She said, tilting her head to the side with a smile. "Well, with you being the Yellow and all... The good thing would be that it would give me more time to know you better. I do hope you don't mind my company though."

Hollow smiled and found himself speaking before he had thought it over.
"How could anyone dislike your company?" he asked, smiling gently.

Moony blushed, smiling. "Well... erm, I dunno. I just sometimes have the impression that I get in the way or I annoy others... I'm careful of how others feel, you see. I don't really know if it is a good or a bad thing though..."

Hollow couldn't help but smile. So kind... and yet so insecure. It was a strange combination. He rather liked it, however.
"You shouldn't worry," he said. "You are perhaps the kindest pony I have ever met. I have hard time imagining you could annoy let alone hurt anyone."
Hollow felt as though he merely listened as he spoke, not really understanding what he was saying. Why was he liking this mare so much?

The unicorn smiled pleasantly in response to what he said, the blush upon her cheeks reddening. His words comforted her and eased the uncertaincies she had, which was odd for her...
"Thanks..." She murmured quietly. "It probably sounds a bit odd, but I find your words a comfort anyway..."

Hollow smiled to her.
"I'm glad," he said. Then he picked up his food again and continued eating, feeling himself a little lost for words.

Seeing him start eating once more, indicated to Moony that he really didn't have anything else to say, which suited the unicorn since she didn't have anything to say either. She began eating away her crossiant quietly, enjoying the feel of his company.

[[Uhh... is it just me or are we stuck? Can't think of how to continue, unless we of course skip the eating and have Hollow escort her back home...?]]

((lol. well, I dunno how to continue this either. :\ ya, we can just have them finish the foods, have them fight over whos going to pay and then leave. ^-^ or something along those lines anyway. ))
The unicorn finished off her last piece of crossiant, chewing quietly. I wonder what is happening... why the rainbow of light is calling for the champions again... I wonder who the new indigo champ is... Moony's thoughts seemed to dance back and forth. So many questions, so many possible answers... she found it all too overwhelming. Moony took a thoughtful sip of her drink, looking down into her glass as she drank. I guess I should just wait... She thought as she continued to drink the thickshake. Everything should be revealed in time, I hope... I wonder how Wysteria is doing...
Much to her disappointment, she had finished the drink sooner than she would of liked due to being a bit too carried away with her thoughts. The white unicorn sat back and waited patiently for Hollow to finish his meal.
((I hope that's alright. :3 ))

[[Yeah that's quite fine with me.]]
Hollow ate up his food without much thought or feeling. He scooped up spoonful after spoonful until he was finally done, and then he looked up at the mare, a bit surprised to notice she was indeed finished already. But he was happy nevertheless. He lifted up a hoof and beckoned to a waitress. As she came, he turned to his shoulder bag, looking for coins to pay for the meals.

Moony smiled at him, but she had no intention of letting him pay the bill.
"Hollow, don't bother. I'm paying." The unicorn said to stallion as she fished out her purse and paid the waitress for both their meals.
