(ooc: *releases an awe* Pony Fluff! What a kodak moment!)
Peri snuggled his head further into his pillow, completely ignorant of Jewel's movements. His breath came in with long and peacfull intakes, reaching across to touch Jewel's ears. Subconsciously, he too, moved to find some form of comfort on the couch. His body inched closer to Jewel's before he rleased a deep sigh of content.

The golden pegasus' ears flicked back and forth, tickled by the breath that graced them. Purple eyes batted open for a second, and glanced at the white stallion next to her. He was so kind, and had managed to get himself under her skin, much as she tried to deny it and play it off. She fought a tugging at the corners of her mouth. Shifting slightly, Jewel moved up a little, placing a kiss on Peri's cheek before resting her head on the stallion's shoulder.

(OOC: Ok, I think I'll drop this current situation, since Emberly hasn't been around here in like...forever ) Angel blinked. She nodded and left. Once she was out of the room, she sighed. Well, THAT went well. She thought in her head sarcastically. The dark purple pegasus decided to head to her room, which was in the castle. She was very tired from being out everywhere. She flew to her room. Once she was in her room, she closed the door. She looked at her nice, soft bed. She smiled and happily climbed into it. She layed there, thinking about today. She smiled and yawned. She then slid under the covers and fell asleep.

Inti's ears twiched as he looked at Brigid, who seemed to be in some pain when she laid herself down on the bed. She wasn't fit for helping the mare who waited outside the appartment anyway.
Inti sensed the stranger's presence fade away as she left, so he did not get up to talk to her. Yet he still felt guilty. "Looks like it wasn't that urgent after all." He said to Brigid, knowing she could sence that Angel had left as well. "Besides," He added, trying to convince himself not to feel guilty. "I wouldn't want to barge in and Peri and Jewel's privacy..." His voice faded off.
He looked at Brigid's wounds once more, then averted his eyes to the floor. He felt very badly about what he had done reguarding Yama, still. The bandages and bloodstains also seemed to be an inaudible whisper in his ear telling him how much of a weakling he really was. Oh, why couldn't he have given her protection that day?
Pushing it to the back of his mind, he scratched the back of his neck. "Do you want me to turn the light off or was there something you wanted to talk about? You seemed rather...distant when you first came."

Brigid watched Inti with with some intent in her eyes, feeling his gaze trace her figure, more likely her wounds. The goddess did nothing in attempts to look upset or try to ignore this fact, she merely remained still and held a poised position even whilst laying down. Brigid took deep pride in her abilities, from the herding, to the smithing, to even battle. The wounds that were now present on her body, albiet painfull, was still worn with high honer. Yama had beaten her, and Brigid had no choice no but to accept this.
"I still feel rather badly about the other night, Inti," she reluctantly released, her hard front being let down for the moment. "I had accused you out of anger, and I brashly dove into a battle I had little chance of winning. But, you see, the mare that Yama had hunted down, she was all ready at her wits end. I may seem cold, but I was truly concerned..."
"I would never be able to have easily guided her into a mage, you were truly the best god for that job. So, you see my anger at how you didn't keep such a tender eye on her when I had told you to do so. Still...," her mind trailed, "I fear that perhaps there may have been something dark inside the mare, why else would Yama choose her? He has not the numbers to spare to randomly pick a mare to torture."

Inti rolled over to stare at the ceiling and folded his arms behind his head aloofly. "Don't worry about it. Besides, it is my fault for letting her fall into Yama's hooves...I'd give anything to change that..." The last part he said more softly, like he was talking more to himself then Brigid.
"I never knew her at all. She seemed so...I don't know, afraid. I didn't know what it was, but something about her..." His voice trailed off again, then finally returned. It was difficult to be telling Brigid all that was on his mind, even though he was used to talking people's ears off every other hour of the day. "I just knew she would turn and run the minute she met me, like that other mare did. Kailani." He decided not to let Brigid know how he felt about the seafoam peg. Besides, now was not the time or place for it.
He continued, "This place has such a strange society compared to home. People are frightened by the fact that ponies like us walk the earth, and some of them are even scared of us. I'm not used to it. Still, it's no excuse for what I've done. That poor purple mare... who knows what will happen to her now."
"I fear that perhaps there may have been something dark inside the mare, why else would Yama choose her? He has not the numbers to spare to randomly pick a mare to torture."
Inti looked over at her with a questioning glance. "Because he's Yama and torturing mortals is his favorite pastime." He didn't want to think about it anymore. He rolled over to face the wall, his back facing Brigid.

"I agree, things are vastly different from that of which we are familiar with. This day and age have formed a very unified belief, mortals fear that of which they know nothing about. That is why we are feared. This is not something that we can help at this particular moment. Mortals will come around, they always have.," she mused allowed in response.
It was an interesting thing to think about, she admitted to herself. Mortals were funny creatures, fearing gods. Of course, fearing the dark gods was always wise on the part of mortals, but fearing all gods was rather amusing, even to her. They were only absent a couple centuries and now the mortals had completely tossed their beliefs upside down. It was not surprise that the gods were as powerful as they were, with mortals behaving as they did.
"All mortals need is just a little guid...ance," Brigid paused as a peculiar sensation tickled back of her head. The very feeling she would get when sensing the presence of other gods. Focusing, her eyes closed, Brigid felt out the source of the disturbance. Blood...it has been spilt. Lives have been taken... Yama...and Set.
Her eyes opened, her face turning to Inti. "Yama and Set are being active tonight. Feel them out, tell me if you felt as I have." She tried again to pinpoint the blood shed, only becoming more confused when Brigid only sensed one dead, not two.

(cont. from Chilly Night)
Kail zipped up her jacket as she made her way towards the castle. She knew Peri kept a room there, and she also knew that Peri was friends with the yellow stallion who had proclaimed himself a god on the beach two days ago. He might know what was going on.
It wasn't hard to find the room number where Peri lived, it was next door to Kail's old room. Taking a deep breath and trying to forget the mental... well, whatever it was that Razz had sent her, the pegasus knocked on the door and stood back to wait.

Inti looked over and listened to her long reply attentively. His expression proved him to be troubled more than anything else. When she finished he nodded.
It was late and Inti let out a yawn. He was about to doze off, even with the light on, when suddenly a chill went up his spin and the fur on his yellow coat stood on end.
"Yama and Set are being active tonight. Feel them out, tell me if you felt as I have."
Inti sat up, fast as lightning and looked at her like she were a ghost. "Are you kidding?" He knew Set and Yama put together in one room was not a good thing. He paused and focused. Finally he saw it all. "I do. I can fell it." He said nodding.
"What should we do?" He asked, expecting she would always have a solution. His ears curved outward with uneasiness.
Finally there was a knock on the door and Inti looked toward their own door in their room. He knew in an instant it was Kail. Inti went pale for a moment. Oh no. Not her. Not now. He told himself not to panic. At least under Brigid's careful eyes. The seafoam mare would probably get suspicious if no one answered the door, but then again it was awfully late at night.
He looked a Brigid imploringly for her forgiveness. He really did want to focus on the matter that was going on right now, but something told him to get out of bed and answer the door in case the others were already asleep. He reached for the doorknob of the bedroom and paused looking back at the goddess almost waiting for her to spit shunning words at him.

Brigid's ears folded back, understanding entirely Inti's resentment of the situation. Set and Yama together weren't good. To say the least, Yama alone was bad enough; he would have been a very touch challenge if herself and Inti both went up against him. Considering him around with Set, and herself injured, well, any physical confrontation would prove unhealthy.
Before she could propose a logical solution, Kailani made her presence known. She gave him a knowing nod of permission, and followed him from the bedroom door. Instead of following Inti to the door, she moved over to the extended couch. Gently, she nuzzled Peri's neck until he showed signed of consciousness. "Ulg...," he half groaned, half whispered, "What?"
Brigid snorted, obviously he had forgotten whom he was speaking to in such a manor. "We have another visitor, get up." she lowly barked, "And there are problems down town, we may have to get involved."
This had forced the actor to wake up enough to realize what was going on. He shock his head, rubbing it quickly with his free hoof, before realizing the body closely sided beside him. The white stallion's face went deep crimson in less then a second.
Brigid only snorted again, and Peri Winkle knew it was enough incentive to get up. Gently he wiggled away from Jewel, hopefully not waking her, and rushed to Inti's side at the door. He opened it slowly while readjusting his eye patch (he'd left it on) and brought a questioning smile to his face. Easily he read the apprehension in her eyes. "Kail, wow, it's late? Uh, it there wrong?"

Inti smiled as Brigid woke Peri up with a snort. It was always fun seeing how people first react when you wake them up unexpectedly.
The actor had opened the door and Kail was standing there, with a jacket on. Inti took a deep, but hopefully silent breath as the two of them waited for her to reply. It was then he thought to step back, allowing her room to come in if she wanted to.

It was a full three minutes before anyone opened the door, although Kail could hear voices inside and knew they were awake. She suddenly felt quite stupid for having walked all the way out to the castle, alone, and when there was who knew what out and murdering ponies that night. Still, whatever it was wouldn't have much chance squalshing the healer.
Razz, use that stripe and send me a warning if there is any trouble at the Nursery, she thought to herself, suddenly aware that she had left all the children in the safety of Razz and a stranger. But she had to find out what was going on.
As the door opened, Kail blushed slightly and tried to smooth down her windblown blue hair. She felt very selfconcious standing outside Peri's door in the middle of the night, but at least the stallion she had come to find was standing right there.
"Sorry, it is late, I know, but someone just came into the nursery covered in blood. She saw a murder - well, two murders actually - and I thought perhaps he would know something about it." She turned to look at the yellow stallion. "We have to talk."

Brigid could not help but over hear this. It was unsettling to know that what she had sensed was true, though, the thought that she had only sensed one dead was unnerving.
Peri Winkle looked back to Inti pulled the door open farther. He motioned for her to step in. "Jewel's still out, maybe we can talk about this in the bedroom.," he suggested, just as in the dark as it would appear Kail was.

"Jewel's still out, maybe we can talk about this in the bedroom.,"
"..Kail?" A sleepy pegasus rubbed her eyes with the back of a hoof. "What's going on? Is everything ok?" She yawned, sitting up and blinking at the group. She had been slightly roused when Peri moved away from her, and at first worried, but now saw that he had had reason to leave.

"Yama and Set..." He breathed with agrivation, not even realizing he was speaking aloud.
The blue-green pegasus looked directly at him now, and Inti's body quickly tensed, stiff as a board. He tried not to blush, or turn pale. Which ever might happen first. We have to talk.
He took a silent but self-settling breath. "Okay. Let's talk." He gave a half smile. She'd obviously been through alot, and he really felt the need to ease her worry.
"..Kail? What's going on? Is everything ok?"
He looked at the stirring golden pegusus again for a moment and then back to Kail. "Uh..you two know each other?" He asked.
