Lacy found that she simply couldn't stay away from the library; it was like the survivor books kept calling for her ((how sad )) and she felt like she needed to be there to do what she could. She busied herself with taking note of the books and quantity the library had at the moment, and wrote down the titles of books which are a good read (those which she would later suggest to SunnyD of course.) In a way, it felt like she already had the job there; no body was telling her off for what she was doing and it didn't seem like there was another pony tending the castle library anyway. The only other ponies that lived in the castle of whih she knew of was Peri Winkle and Kimono, and neither had come to disturb her. She worked on happily, climbing up ladders to reach the higher book cases, taking note of the names and such. On the back of her mind though was the constant thought of Calliope, the strange unicorn with the goddess name. Earlier she had gone through her own personal collection of books, but there wasn't too much, not even an image, of the muse Calliope. So of course, Lacy was slightly confused. She was so wrapped up in her thoughts on the minor goddess, that she somehow accidently knocked over several thick romance novels which fell to the floor in a heap of dust. "Oh dear..." Lacy said, as she hurried down the ladder, and knelt down to pick up the books one by one, which thankfully looked undamaged. (( nows your chance Holly...))

A tall pegasus by the name of Star Catcher stepped into the library. He was here to find some books on gods and religion; He was fully aware of the gods and goddess' running around town and he had to find out more. He wanted to know if they were dangerous or not; And he also wanted to know if there were any he could befriend, as he was keen to get to know the gods as well as he could.
He looked down each isle until he came to one that seemed to be occupied by a pretty pink mare wearing a pair of silver-framed glasses with beautiful green eyes behind them. He watched her for a moment, until she knocked down a pile of novels and hurried down the ladder to retrieve them. Without thinking, he trotted into the isle and knelt down to pick up the books.
His hoof froze has it came into contact with the pretty mare.

Crystal Lace was too preoccupied to notice the pegasus watching, but when he came over, she hestiated, not looking up to see who it was.
She froze when she felt his hoof upon hers, and she looked at him quickly, his beauty and his pleasant blue eyes catching her gaze and holding it there. For a moment, it felt like everything was washing away as though she was gladly drowning in those pools of blue; she was dimly aware of her heart beating quickly and her cheeks redding into a blush. Oh no not again! She thought, but something was different this time, she didn't know why, but it just was.
Realising she was staring at him as though he was some winged prince from a fairytale, she gasped quietly and looked away shyly. She picked up the books in the pile and got up.
"Thankyou..." She said shyly and quietly, brushing away a lock of white hair, and glancing at him again.

Star Catcher slowly looked up and his eyes gazed into hers, a pair of beautiful deep green eyes, not spoiled in the slightest bit by the pair of glasses that sat upon her nose. A tingle went down his spine as he longed to watch them for longer but he shifted his gaze to the ground as he knew that he was turning red and it really stood out because of his white pelt.
He stood up but continued to look at the ground. He wished furiously that he had courage when talking to girls, especially ones he particularly liked, but it made no difference. Knowing that it would be rude to slink away, he cautiously looked at the mare, getting lost in her eyes again.
"It's uh.... no problem." He desperately wanted something else to say, to break the awkward silence he was causing, but nothing came to mind. Instead, he held his hoof up to his temple in a frustrated way.

She smiled shyly, but pleasantly; seeing him a bit nervous like herself, and blushing, soothed her somewhat. Lacy allowed herself to give in and look into his eyes again when he did also.
"Is... Is there anything I can I help you with?" She said quietly, in hopes of breaking the awkwardness. "Any particular books?..."

Star stepped back from the mare. "I'm-I'm fine." He stuttered as he fiddled with the collar of his geek shirt. (tehe) "I'm, er, fine, yeah." He wanted the floor to open up underneath him, and swallow him. He was so embarrassed. He met a pretty mare and he was acting like a idiot.

He's soo cute... she thought as he fiddle with his SHIRT. ((hahaha! I'm not spelling it wrong this time.)) Lacy kept smiling her smile though, as she held onto the books tightly. "A-Are... are you sure?" She asked again shyly. "Well... o-ok then."
Although she did not want to leave him, but rather bask in his presence, she did not wish to trouble him... and she kinda had work to do... But work can wait.
"M-may I ask... um, what... what is your name?" She asked quickly and quietly, before he could try to escape.

"I uh.. I uh... What? Oh, my name? It's uh... uh..."
d**nit Star, don't forget your name at a time like this...
"Star Catcher.' He blurted out, remembering it somehow. "I'm Star Catcher. Who're you?" He asked, finding his tongue.

"...Star Catcher..." She held onto the name like it was a treasure.
"Crystal Lace... T-that is my name." She said with a small curtsy, and shy smile.

Star Catcher nodded in greeting to Crystal, as he started to loosen up. "It's a uh... nice name." He said and he smiled at her for the first time.
"so... uh.." He began. "What are you here for?"

"T-thanks." She said, blushing at when he smiled for the first time. "I'm, well, here to help out in the library." A topic she knew, and was comfortable with. She could feel herself relax, but the blush and shyness just wouldn't go away.
"The library books are in need of sorting, restocking and rearranging. I am just helping until a permament librarian is found..." She did not mention that she wanted to job of that permament librarian; she didn't think he would be interested.
((do you have msn back yet?))

Star pulled a bit of his multi-coloured hair behind his ear as he listened to Lace. He admired her for being able to speak so freely, unlike himself, who was finding it very hard to say anything. Although normally he would have been interested in what she had to say, (He was very passionate on books and literature) he hardly heard what she was saying; He was still gazing into her beautiful eyes, he couldn't tear his own away from them. He wanted to sweep the mare off of her feet and into his life, his heart was beating furiously in his chest. He realised, at this moment, that he believed in love at first sight. (No.) (tehe! look at this! www.snopes.com/disney/films/mermaid.htm )

Lacy's voice faltered and quietened, and she found herself looking into Star's eyes again. She didn't know why, but her heart kept dancing quickly. It felt like those times when she would be reading a book and a particular character would feel strongly for another, to long to be with the other. When the character realised that they were in love... Except this time, it was real. It wasn't a book character in the situation, but herself. She found herself wanting him to take her away from this town, to explore new things, to have his wings wrapped around her... and... She blushed. No! You mustn't think of those kinda things. she thought quickly, feeling rather shameful. "So... why are you here?" She asked quietly, trying to fight down the particular thoughts... ((bummer...)) ((lol! some people have very sharp eyes eh? *shudder* but it's not like mermen have those anyway))

Star Catcher blinked. He knew he must look strange, (Oh no! Mufasa just died! *cries* ) he had been staring at her and... "Oh, I was just going to look around for some books on gods and religion... There's been some gods roaming around town and I had to find out more so... I came here." And thank god I did. He thought. (tehe, you should read the rest of em: www.snopes.com/disney/films/films.asp Especially the Rescuers one, coz it's true!)

"Gods? Did you say gods?" Lacy raised an eyebrow. Her shyness seemd to reduce when she thought of the gods. No way... that can't mean that that unicorn was a goddess...
"How do you know they are gods?" She asked quietly.
((lol! I like the last one about the seven dwarfs.))
