Coon mosied up beside her captor, and waited patiently as he did all the tough work. Once the plant was moved from Roxy, the gray masculine mare bent down to help her to her feet. Naturally, Roxy's golden appearance instantly sent the thief's eyes wide, and mouth almost drooling.
Where have you been all my life, beautiful?
"Here, let's get you up--there," Coon helped ease her to a standing position, staying quite close in the hopes she'd fall into her. It would've given Coon an excuse to hold her, so to speak. "Do you have anyone we can take you to, anywhere to lay down?"

Razz watched from around the corner and found it hard to watch Moe. Who could be sillier than him? he wondered. No, not me! I can't possibly be that dense, can I? He clapped his hooves over his mouth so as not to be heard breathing hard now.
Inward, he felt a tugging. Someone was calling? Yes, he sensed the rainbow, bright yellow by the flash in his mind.
Hello, Yellow Champion, he said, realizing. We are, ah, well, I'm not sure what's going to happen next. The thief is out, but the police pony is still in the picture. Roxy's giving quite a show of it, though. You're smart. What do you suggest? He sent him a mental picture of the scene before being interrupted by the thief's loud thoughts.
Hey, now. he thought, still trying to understand the intentions. Now is not the time to get all giddy like a school filly.

As Coon helped the mare to her feet, Moe glanced at the partially broken pot, to the pair of ponies, and back to the pot. Eventually, he still did nothing about the mess.
Evidently the mare was uncomfortable from her plight, and as a police pony, it was Moe's responsibility to make sure she was all right. The wheels in his mind turned for a remedy. His wheels turned the same speed as any other pony's, mind you, it's just that they didn't always turn the right way..
"Can I get you a glass of water?" The large blue pony asked. Clearly, because of how upset she was, dehydration was obviously the concern. Moe didn't even consider the possibility of broken bones.

Hollow was only mildly surprised about Razz's reaching back to him. It did jolt him a little, as a new experience, and the image he sent to him about the situation felt also slightly uncomfortable. He didn't like people in his head, even if they were just visitors. However, he looked on the situation as closely as he could, for the brief moment it was there.
He wasn't aware of Moe's offer to fetch her water, so his advice was slightly too late to make a difference to the situation.
The police officer appears to be a dimwit. She might ask him to fetch her something, and he'll probably do it. Meanwhile, you could just creep away, he replied to Razz, having to smile at Roxy's theatrics. He started to like her. This was getting too dangerous. He didn't want to like these Champions. He didn't want to like anybody.

Back around the corner, Razz looked behind him down the hall and had a sudden, brilliant idea. He was standing right next to the water cooler! It was perfect! It had little paper cups and everything. He reached out to Roxy and Hollow.
Yes, yes, yes! Ask for water!
He snuck past the cooler, down the other hall, not far, to an extremely large statue of one of the Ponyville founders. The statue was as tall as the hall and partly set in the wall. It was a pony sitting with its tail wrapped around the bottom of its feet. Razz wiggled into the gap between its legs, hidden behind the stone tail, and peeked out from his dark hiding spot. He felt a little odd, brushing up against the nether region of a giant stone pony, but he put it from his mind as he waited.

"Oh, you strong thing - " She moaned again as the plant was rolled off of her. "Thank Rainbow someone heard me, I thought I must die a horrible shrubbery death under there!" The words were preposterous, but Roxy kept a perfect earnest face.
As the grey pony helped her, Roxanne stumbled to her feet, cocking one leg and pretending to be unwilling to put weight on it. She leaned heavily on her helper, taking the opportunity to look the pony up and down (hm, not bad really). "Oh, thank you, thank you both! I was just walking - walking, you know, and - that THING - " She pointed a quivering hoof at the remains of the bush - "It jumped me. JUMPED me!"
She looked frantically into the grey pony's eyes, and saw an unusual light there. For the first time during the charade, Roxy was struck with the uncontrollable urge to laugh. She dealt with it by burying her face in her helper's neck and shaking silently as if she were panicked. Oh, this was a good one.
When the blue stallion offered water, a lightbulb flashed in Roxy's mind at almost the same time as Razz's encouragement flew through. There wasn't a thing wrong with her leg, so they could make a run for it while the slow pony went for a drink.
Roo, get set. He's slow but it's never smooth to underestimate a chap; we'll have to make a quick break for it if he takes the bait.
Roxy carefully winked to the grey pony with the eye that the stallion couldn't see, and reached out a pleading hoof in the police-pony's direction.
"Oh yes," she panted, and let her tongue loll out as if he had hit the nail on the head, "water would be WONderful. The dirt was everywhere, and the leaves..." and she spit a leaf at him to demonstrate.

((lol, poor Moe.. at least he doesn't realize everyone think's he's a dolt )) "water would be WONderful. The dirt was everywhere, and the leaves..." "I'll get you some right now," Moe said in his naive, good-natured way. He turned, then stopped. Reaching his head back around, he pointed at Coon with one hoof: "You stay RIGHT there and help the lady," He said, jiggling slightly as he thrust his hoof toward the theif. "I'll be right back, miss." With this, Moe ambled back down the corridor and into the office/cell room where he had been holding Coon.

Razz hesitated, feeling outward for Moe. He let the image of the water cooler drift harmlessly into the police pony's mind like a soft whisper.

Roxanne raised her eyebrows, suddenly confused. Quickly she thought as hard as she could (for she still didn't understand how the telepathy worked) Roo, where's the water? Where are you? Do we go?

Hollow shifted his hooves nervously, tossing his head a little. Would they quit fooling around with that dumb police officer already and just come out?
Hurry it up, he thought out to Razz, whisking his tail uneasily.

He let the image of the water cooler drift harmlessly into the police pony's mind like a soft whisper.
Having a delayed reaction to the fact that the water cooler was down the hall, Moe huffed and made his way in the opposite direction, soon finding himself near the violet stripe.

Careful, Roxy. Razz said. We have to make sure he's good and distracted. Otherwise we might have all of Ponyville on our trail before we have time to get out of town. No, we have to get him good and distracted just to be safe. Hang on, just a moment.
He reached out, softly, quietly, and scuttled around the edges of Moe's mind. He found it fascinating. There was something unusual about Moe. Something wonderful, really, and perhaps even malleable? Razz began to think about the water. He began to think of a great thirst. These tendrils of thoughts wafted outward into Moe, bait on the end of Razz's invisible pole.
Cool, crisp water. Crisp water in the tall cooler. Yes, there it is. There it is. Grab a cup. Pour. Drink it down. Yes, cool water. Feel how it tastes, so cold down my throat. I think I'll have some more. Grab a cup. Pour. Drink it down. Pour. Drink some more. Lovely water. Cool, crisp water. Drink it down.
With any luck, Moe would have the distinct feeling of his own thirst in mind and get distracted just trying to quench it.

Roxanne's tail twitched on the stone floor. This was taking a few seconds longer than she realized, and she was still leaning on a cute stranger.
She winked and whispered, "hang on."
And just in case anyone was watching, she closed her eyes and fell to a crouch on the ground. The muscles in her legs were tensed, though.

Razz's words evoked the most effective, strongest power to a pony such as Moe:
The power of suggestion.
"Cool, crisp water. Crisp water in the tall cooler. Yes, there it is."
"There it is.." Moe approached the cooler.
"Grab a cup. Pour. Drink it down. Yes, cool water. Feel how it tastes, so cold down my throat. I think I'll have some more."
Moe took a cup and poured water for himself from the cooler. "Cool water.." His lips smacked in a pleased fashion. "I think I'll have some more..."
"Grab a cup. Pour. Drink it down. Pour. Drink some more. Lovely water."
"Mm lovely water.." Moe was much more thirsty than he thought! He'd certainly have to take care of this before aiding the mare..
"Cool, crisp water. Drink it down."
"Such cool, crisp water.."

Realizing he had Moe's attention, Razz couldn't help but smile. Yes, yes, yes! Drink, drink, drink! He was singing in his mind. Drink it down. Drink it down. All the way down.
He planned to keep this up until Moe's bladder interrupted the song. With any luck, all that water would keep Moe occupied long enough for them to get a good head start.
But was it right? Razz felt a little guilty for using Moe this way. Could he make it up to him? Yes, he would try.
