After the meeting with the champions in the square, Razzaroo found himself in the gateway of the castle, looking up at the regal arch and the tapestries lining the hall.
"Wow, they sure did a nice job reconstructing this place." He had seen it before, but of course it awed him every time he saw it. And why shouldn't it? It was the castle, after all.
He began feeling outward with his mind. He wasn't sure where to find this stranger he was looking for, but he figured if it was a thief he was looking for, he might pick up on some thief-like thoughts somewhere in the castle.

(ooc: AWCK! haven't been on in forever, I blame summer semester and my 8 page papers! *rattles fist* Curse you Death of a Salesman!)
Coon crinkled her nose as Moe made sure to keep his precious confectionaries as far from her grasp as possible. Of course, maybe it was just Coon, but it seemed rather...excessive to place them in the corner farthest from her cell.
Finally she gave up her display of trying to reach for the doughnuts and settled down onto her cot. Thoughtfully, she leaned back against the wall, and after fidgeting a moment, managed to feel comfortable. Mouth to chin; Coon's brows furrowed in slight contemplation.
Honestly...I had no idea that cops like this actually existed. Definitely an insult to the family...ulg, just won't mention a word of it to Ma when I get out. And really, how long will that be? I almost had the locked picked, all I need is for him to leave for a bathroom break again and I'm scotch free.

Roxanne took a deep breath. She hadn't been to the castle in years by now. And she had absolutely no idea who she and Razz were looking for or how to convince this pony to come along with them. But although vague information seemed to be the trademark of the blue stripe's dealings with her, as far as she could tell things always squeaked by in the end. So she stuck to her philosophy of taking one step at a time.
"Shots in the dark, Roo," she said. "And we're the leads in the first act. Take it as it comes, right?
"You go first." She grinned and winked.
[[Does Razzaroo have PAARS? Roxanne'll probably catch it then, huh?]]

(Yes, he does have it now, or at least is carrying it.)
"Oh, now." Razz started to laugh. "I do believe I've found our pony."
He trotted into the castle, going this way and that in an unpredictable fashion, turning quickly to go in completely opposite directions, until at last he reached a corridor into a corridor, which had led them just outside the place where naughty ponies were kept. Razz could sense two ponies in the room.
Well, he's in there. His voice wandered over to Roxy. Now, how best do we get him out?

Roxy flared her nostrils, sneezed violently, and followed Roo without asking questions. He seemed to know what he was doing.
"He's in there?" Roxanne tipped her head towards the corridor. "Hm, depends. Where is there? What's the sich?" She assumed Razz was familiar with her habit of shortening words; this one was 'situation.'
"And if he's a thief, why can't he get himself out?" She winked.
"Nah, we probably need some reconnaissence. You can't turn invisible, can you doll?"
[[Sorry I didn't reply for a while, and when I did I wasn't much help! I'm not really sure how this is all going to work ; )]]

(I was busy with IPD anyway. Oh, I don't know how this is going to work out yet either, haha. We're completely winging it.)
"Well," Razz said in a hushed whisper and then remembered to use his inner voice, This looks like the corrections room, or whatever they call it these days. He's locked inside. Is that Moe? I think it is. Maybe we should distract him. Hold on, maybe I'll try to have a word with our new friend.
Razz squeezed his eyes into slits and concentrated. His mind wandered over to the dark pony.
He was just outside his aura.
Oh, I stand corrected. Her aura.
He continued, touching the edges of her aura, and tried to speak to her without making her think she had gone completely bonkers.
Now, don't panic. He said. I know you can hear me, but you are the only one. Do not let on that you can hear me or I will not be able to get you out. I am here to help you.

Razz took a step back as he waited for the answer and nudged Roxy back down the hall. He pointed to a very tall topiary in a pot. Walking up to it, he gave it a small nudge with his hoof. It wobbled.
"Now, look, Roxy," he whispered. "Pull up the curtain; we're on the next act. When I give you the signal, you knock this plant down on top of you. Break a leg, eh? Or pretend to. We'll distract Moe and then when he comes running to help, maybe I can figure a way to get our friend out during the commotion. You got it?"

Roxanne lowered her voice to a whisper. "So the thief's caught and guarded. He'll be happy to let us help him for now, then, and the convincing for El Quest-o can come later."
Roxanne stifled a pleased cackle. She hadn't done pratfalls in a while; this was sure to be a good time. She turned to Razz with a wide grin.
"Aw yeah Roo, you speak my language babe. Now let's see... an alibi..." And her improvisational mind was quickly at work to make up a reason why she should be wandering the castle halls.

Coon's ear flicked, but for the most part her body lay tense in a hesitant freeze, a freeze not entirely unlike one a cautionary thief would make prior to hearing an unnessesary sound.
This isn't the cop, is it? One golden eye snaked a glance from the corner of her face without the turn of her head. The world would be a sadder place if that loony ever had telepathy. He'd mentally broadcast episodes of Gilligan's Island, I can see it now.
.....
......
Then. To whom do I owe the pleasure of this most unsuspecting phone call?

Razz drew himself up as he paused to listen. He thought a moment and then, trying to make himself sound important, said, I'm Razzaroo of the Violet. Champion of the Rainbow of Light. I've come to set you free. In return, you can offer me your services for a time. Consider it a trade.
Razz still didn't know exactly what they needed her for, but he'd worry about that later.
(I'll touch minds with Hollow when we're making our escape.)

Coon's face motioned to a look of thoughtful surprise. For a moment, she thought nothing towards the champion, trying to determine her own course of action.
Here she was, in jail, awaiting the perfect opportunity to spring herself. It was inevitable that she would manage to achieve this if Moe was in charge of her. Then Coon would have no obligation to this individual speaking with her.
On the other hoof, she contemplated, rubbing a toothless socket with her tongue (the tooth had been lost in the last battle), it was always possible that Moe would be relieved of his duties and replaced with someone smarter. Her escape window wasn't easy to wager, and in such a case escape probably wouldn't be easy to achieve.
If she escaped on her own, she'd have to pack up and move on. Stokely, though separated from the mare, would eventually come back to the town. Coon didn't particularly want to leave that. Then there was the very attractive teen, Star Dasher. Countless other mares crossed her mind as well.
Being pardoned from a sentence, plus managing to keep living near the town would be the prime advantages of the stallion's offer. Coon would be mad to not cash in. Besides...what other reasons would the champions need a thief other than for stealing? Someone with power needed something that contained power, which meant it would be quite a challenge to obtain this object/item/or possibly person.
Coon Skin was up for a little game.
All right, Razz-ma-who now? Erm, uh, 'you.' I think I'll take you up on your offer. Besides, who can say no to a champion? How would you like to go about doing this?

I'm going to distract the jailer. Then I'll get you out of the cell. Razz said. He wasn't sure how he was going to open the cell. He probably couldn't break the bars. That wouldn't make any sense, would it? Maybe Moe had keys he could grab as he walked past? It didn't occur to him that the thief might be smart enough to get herself out once Moe was out of the room.
He started waving at Roxy, to encourage her to put the plan in action. He was rushing along, ready to make things happen.

Roxanne rubbed her hooves together gleefully and took a few steps back. "Make yourself scarce, Roo. Here goes everything, eyes away!"
And she flat-out charged at the topiary.
At the last second she threw herself to the ground in a calculated baseball-style slide, and with a spectacular CRASH her back hooves slammed into the potted plant.
Shards of terracotta flew everywhere, dirt sprayed the walls, and the tall bush tipped in slow motion. Roxanne turned her shoulder to it as it fell, and allowed it to slam harmlessly onto her side and splay her on the floor, at the same time setting up a squall that surely could be heard all the way to the throne room.
"HOLY RAINBOW, NAAAAAARGH!"
As leaves fluttered down into her mane and tail and her voice echoed off the stone walls, the blue light in her mind quivered as if it was chuckling.

Razz took his cue and quickly raced away from Roxy, past the prison doorway, and around the corner. He peeked out from behind it and waited to see what would happen next.
