Wing Song snapped to attention. "Oh yes, please do! That must be a wonderful ability to have in the summertime."

Tramp realised he had used a bit of a wrong wording when talking about "freezing". He blushed, quite awkward.
"Oh... er... I'm afraid you misunderstood me," he said and cleared his throat. "I meant that I can make things immobile. Like so." He concentrated on a little beetle scuttling past them on the pavement. His horn glowed softly, and suddenly the beetle froze in midstep. He looked at the mares and shrugged. "I suppose it's only logical. Me and my brother are twins, so our powers reflect each other."

Wing Songs eyes widened. "But that's even more incredible! It must mean that, on a smaller scale, you have the ability to stop time!"
"I think it's amazing - " She paused, however, to cast a concerned look at the beetle. " - but can you unfreeze them?"

"Wow!" Medley said after Tramp had "frozen" the beetle. "I bet that power could come in handy one day..."
She smiled to herself as she thought of the possibilities.

Tramp smiled, feeling just a bit smug for once gathering attention instead of always standing in the shadow of his brother. Well, of course Rogue wasn't here to steal the spotlight, he reminded himself, so things might change yet.
He looked at the beetle when Wing Song asked if he could unfreeze things as well.
"Yes, of course I can unfreeze them as well. The power wouldn't be much good if someone else had to do it for me," he said with a chuckle and let the beetle go. It started moving again, and scuttled around in frightened, confused circles for a while before continuing on its way. "Of course, the trouble is that my... eh, targets will remember everything after I unfreeze them... I can only stop them from moving, not from feeling and seeing." He shrugged. "It comes in handy in battle, though. Me and my brother work well together."

"Hehe...yeah." Wing Song still found the power fascinating, but now she couldn't help but think of the terror of being frozen.
It didn't seem bad at first - but then she'd assumed that you would just be frozen, the equivalent of being unconscious for a bit. But seeing and feeling, but immobile - powerless to prevent anything from happening - the thought made her shudder.

Beginning to feel a little impatient, Medley turned towards the Nursery.
"Well, we're all here," she said, "Should we see if Mookie is still at the Nursery?"

"Definitely", Wing Song confirmed. She was nervous about what they'd find there, but why prolong her suffering?
They had now reached the nursery, so she rang the doorbell.
((Mookie, you can jump in anytime now...))

Tramp followed the mares to the door, glancing back at the beetle. He had noticed Wing Song get a bit nervous and wondered what she thought of him now when he had explained the details of his power. Did she think him evil for it?
Tramp couldn't help grinning inwardly at that thought. Rogue would burst out of his seams laughing if he ever heard anyone thought him evil.

Wing Song was now deep in thought over Tramp's power. Oh, I'm just being nervous - I could think of much worse powers for a pony to have. It's not as though Tramp would ever use it on me - at least, I don't think he would. But it's hard to tell. A power like that - would it be considered evil?
Oh, it was so much easier at home! No pegasi, no confusing powers - how does anyone stand living in a place like Ponyville?

Medley gave a soft sigh as she waited. Resisting the temptation to hum again, she thought, You really shouldn't hum, Medley. It's a horrid habit and it must be fairly rude to hum while oter ponies are trying to talk.
She sighed again. Why does it have to take so long?

(((sorry. I got distracted!))) Mookie had slept well in the stange place...but he wanted to see someone he knew. He slipped past the nursury keepers who were busy with the other foals, and ran out the front door. He ran face first into the Nice Lady's front legs. "Ooohf"

Medley's heart sank. Mookie was still there. That meant his parents were still missing...or dead. She forced herself to smile.
"'Ello there, Mookie," she said to him.

Wing Song looked down at Mookie, and swept him up into a tight hug. "Mookie!" She tried not to grin too widely.
I'm terrible. I shouldn't be glad to see him...but I am.
