Though Jewel had to smile at his soup-making comment, she didn't let the gravity of the situation waver, "This is no cold, Peri." She said softly, "A lot of ponies aren't going to live through this."
"D*mnit Jewel, I wasn't going to cry."
"Shh.." The pegasus came even closer, wrapping her wings around them both, shutting out the world around them. Her golden wings filtered the sunlight into a warm glow around them, “Just believe this is all going to be ok. Even if you don’t believe it.. pretend you do,” She smiled briefly, “You’re an actor, I know you can do it.”
Despite the tears, Jewel craned her neck forward and kissed the stallion passionately as if it was certain there would be no tomorrow.

Peri Winkle could no longer fight back the urge to openly cry the moment the wings had encased them in a world of their own. He released one chocked gasp, before managing to silence any more sobs to come forth. The actor did not refuse the tears their exit from his eyes.
Finally he bit down on his lip, taking to heart what Jewel had to say. He nodded, silently, clearing his frazzled mind of the situation, as if trying to determine his 'motivation,' trying to act.
Before he could even say practiced lines, he was lip locked. His reaction was slow at first, merely from the heavy air and his own forming numbness. This soon was forgotten as he returned the passionate display with equal fervor. Peri broke when he felt his lungs would cave in, sighing exasperately, but more relaxed than he had been any time during the day.
"I'll take care of Amr," he assured gently, promisingly.

Hollow had been listening and watching. He felt little compassion for Jewel and Peri. She had her duty, and he must accept it. That was what he felt about it. He didn't let his mind be distracted of the task at hand. He had not heard Kail's sending, but Razz's words made it clear to him that the green stripe was not there because they were going to go to her. Well, that certainly made everything easier. His mind processed every bit of information given. He felt a nervous shudder along his spine. Pirates. He didn't like the sound of that. It meant battles.
But Hollow wasn't a coward. He arched his neck and looked around at the other champions.
"Yes, introductions may be in order," he said with a low, calm, cold voice, ignoring Razz's question about Bartholomew as it was irrelevant to him. "I am Hollow Heart. You can call me Hollow. I already know Moony, the orange stripe, as I understand..." He nodded briefly to Roxanne and Razz in greeting, and then looked at Jewel. His eyes fell on the star on her forehead. "She would be indigo."
He remained staring at the pegasus and her stallion friend. They appeared to be very much in love. He recalled what love had been. It quieted him for a moment.

"I'll take care of Amr,"
The pegasus smiled, "I know you will." Jewel reached up and nuzzled Peri's tear-stained cheek affectionately. "Don't let him push you around too much."
"She would be indigo."
Feeling eyes upon her and hearing the word "indigo", Jewel looked up and met Hollow's glance. She nodded silently, confirming this words.
A thought occured as everyone seemed to be readying themselves to move out. Jewel looked at Razz, then Roxy, the two she was most familiar with, "We can't leave until someone retrieves the theif from the castle.. I'm sure we need to bring that pony with us."

"A gryphon can't get the better of me," Peri stated, "How hard could it be."
Oh...such famous last words. Amr was likely to take his car keys and flush them down a toilet. Peri, although filled with love to give, didn't know the first thing about keeping pets. Amr was a challence Peri clearly would not realize he was getting into.
"Any volunteers for the thief?"

Roxanne was still feeling awkward, having only recently fully embraced the Stripe and still unfamiliar with the Rainbow's workings. But she was psyched for an adventure by now, and by golly, she wanted to do everything she could to help.
"If someone needs convincing to join us, I'll 'ave a go, Jewel baby. I don't have all five acts in front of me, though" - she used theatre terminology often, it never occurred to her that some ponies might not understand - "so maybe y'all are talking about something I know nothing about. In that case, chaps, smack me around and I'll sit by." She grinned disarmingly.

Hollow's ears swivelled around as the only sign that he was feeling uneasy. He wondered what thief the others were talking about. He hated not being told everything, it made him feel like he was standing on air. He hated not knowing enough in general. He chose to say nothing as the indigo and the blue stripe spoke. He hadn't enough information, and he didn't like making statements with limited information.

[[*giggles* Roxy's just the opposite way - she might know jack about what's going on, but she'll bull forward and figure it out eventually ; ).]]

"That's true," said Razz. "Roxy can sweet talk anyone." It only just occured to Razz how well suited for the blue stripe Roxy was. All it took was a fine bit of acting, after all. But this was more than an act, too, for it had to come from a deeper place in the heart. He felt bolder. Might the blue stripe have been influencing him, too?
"I'll go with her," he continued. "Might turn the thief off if we all show up pestering. The rest of you see about that boat. Charge it to my shop. We'll meet you at the docks."

"Yeah baby, we're on it." Roxanne grinned. She had her hoof in the door with the champions, and she felt a burst of confidence in her chest. The stripe tickled her brain and sent little gusts out to Razzaroo, who was standing nearest.
Glad Roo'll be with me though, that's for sure. She turned to the purple stallion. "We'll knock 'em dead, kid. Lead on!"

Razz felt a kick of enthusiasm.
"Right-ee-o!"
And off he went in the direction of the castle. Then he paused and looked over his shoulder.
"It was the castle, right?"
(Cont. to the castle.)

Hollow watched Roxy and Razz leave, beating his flanks with his tail. Then he looked up and at the others, a sharp matter-of-fact expression in his eyes. It appeared to him Razz was in lead of the group. Now that he was gone, Hollow felt it only natural for him to step onto his place. He knew his way around Ponyville, after all, and he had a good idea just where they could find what they needed to get to Dream Valley. "All right," he said to them. "We will go find the boat, then. Time is of the essence, so we should hurry. Come." And he turned briskly around and started trotting off towards the docks. [[or the river? where would they be going as there's no docks board? Well, Cont. somewhere else as soon as someone figures out where they should be going ]] [[EDIT: sorry if this seems a little messy or odd or something. It's 1am and my brain's sort of fallen asleep. I just wanted to write this post before I have to go. I won't be back before Wednesday]]

(ooc: ah, 1 am, good times...goooooood times....)
Peri Winkle absently noted the departure of Roxy and Razz, and then his eye followed over to Hollow's form. He said nothing as he left as well, before muttering an explanation of "We'll just wait till they get back," even when he didn't need to.
His gaze lingered a while longer on Hollow's retreating form, before his attention focused on Jewel once more. Still trying to continue his newly obtained facade, Peri murmured "You realize you're gonna have to take some names for me right? So I can brag on set that my girl kicked the must butt."

(Going by boat wont be any faster than on foot, and a bit out of the way at that. Check out the map and you will see what I'm talking about)

(Oh, were we supposed to go by foot? Doh! Well, I had a Razz moment there, didn't I? Maybe he won't find any available boats and we'll have to walk. Or scooter. haha! Or we could have taken Razz's air balloon. Nobody gets airsick, right?)
