Roxanne hunkered down in the basket from her seat between Coon Skin and Razzaroo. "Bit blustery out here, eh?" she said, trying to get out of the wind as it threatened to put her copper-tinseled mane into hopeless tangles. She reached back and quickly braided it. A strand of glistening tinsel fell out and flew at Coon. "Whoop, that's for you then, Bandit!"
Grinning, Roxy straightened up, turned around and leaned out of the basket, letting her braid and forelock flap in the wind. She spied Jewel flying along behind and waved a hoof, calling out.
"Wheeeeeheeheeeeeee, hahaaa!"
Roxanne had been in hot-air balloons a few times, but the experience clearly never got old.

Hollow watched Roxy's enthusiasm with slight air of amusement. He had to admit to liking the Blue Champion, despite the fact that he in general couldn't much appreciate light-heartedness. But her enthusiasm was somehow... cheering. Rainbow knew Hollow hadn't got much of cheerfulness in his life so far. He swallowed as he saw the ripples of life going through Roxanne, and then dying and fading, the moving and shifting threads that he knew spelled an end for her. It would not come yet, not even soon, but he knew it was there, just waiting, and he could see how every breath she took was one closer to death.
That was how the rest of the Champions and the thief appeared to him as well. He had to swallow and turn his eyes away, out to the distance. It was a little better with them than with most of the other ponies he had ever met. They were touched by something immortal, something forever, something that was greater than any of them. That gave them a glow that made it easier for Hollow to look at them - and unfortunately, also to like them. He felt the thudding of his heart very acutely and swallowed again. Where was he going? He liked his companions already, as much as he knew of them. He had at first assumed that the reason he liked Moon Crystal was that she was the Friendship Stripe. Roxanne's charm could be explained by her being the Charisma. But why would he like Jewel and Razz so much? Razz was a silly creature, and generally Hollow disliked such. But somehow, these ponies... they made him feel... like he had arrived... close to home.
These thoughts in his mind, he remained still, unmoving, looking out the basket, his hooves over the basket edges, his eyes far away.

Razz turned around and peered out over the horizon. He dangled his legs over the rim.
"We're coming Kail!" He cried into the wind. Then he rememebered he could probably send her a message. So he did. Or at least tried.
(This is me, 2 seconds before I have to leave, lol.)

I like hollow's last post, Crescent. I found it quite touching. And I'd like to respond, but Roxy's oblivious. Dang. : P
I s'pose we could jump. Balloons are fun, but in Roxy's words, "let's get this show on the road!"]]
