Tristan entered the cafe with a look of pure hatred on his face. His oh so thoughtful sister had woken him up and (more or less) forced him to come help with the music store. Now, this would have been fine had he not went out drinking the night before.
Taking a seat at the bar, he glanced around. I guess Drummer found another interest. Dark eyes narrowed slightly.
Turning back around, he leaned forward against the counter. He needed some coffee.

Cotton Candy saw Tristan sit down at the bar. Drummer was busy with another customer so she figured she'd take care of the black stallion. He looked tired and a little hung over. She smiled to herself. She took pride in knowing just what her customers needed.
She placed one of her larger mugs, full of black coffee, in front of Tristan.
"Good morning!" she said with a sweet smile. "It's on the house. You look like you need it."

Tristan smiled at Cotton Candy and took the mug into his hoof. "I owe you one."
He nodded and took a large sip of the dark liquid. That was definitely what he needed.
Setting the mug back down, he rubbed his temple. He pitied the fool that would end up having to deal with Dallas' early morning wake-up calls. But, by the looks of it, Drummer wouldn't be the fool.

Drummer noticed Tristan sitting at the bar. Oh, man... he thought to himself. He wondered if Tristan had seen him talking with Rose. I wonder if he's the type to jump to conclusions, he thought.
"Tristan," Drummer nodded a greeting towards the black stallion. "Rough nite?" he asked, not meaning to come across as sarcastic, but sounding that way.
From the corner of hie eye, Drummer saw Cotton Candy flash him a warning glance as if to tell him not to use that tone with her customers.
"Sorry, " he said, "Didn't mean for it to come out quite like that." He flipped his forelock back from his face.

Tristan gave Drummer a rather evil looking smile. Even with his head pounding, he was still able to look intimidating.
"Yeah, real rough." He snorted. "But it looks like you're having a good morning."
A bitter smirk accompanied Tristan's pierced lips as he took another sip of his coffee.

Figures, Drummer thought, rolling his eyes.
"I assume you're referring to the filly I was just waiting on, right?" he said. "It's my job to talk to people around here. I was just being nice. She's new in town and was just asking about Ponyville."
Why am I explaining myself to him, he wondered to himself.
"Besides, I haven't heard from Dallas..." he stopped and decided he'd be better off if he quit talking.

Tristan couldn't help but to grin. This was fun.
Smiling brightly, he just stared at Drummer until he finished talking. It seemed as though he was even more unnerving without the glare.
"Well, she's not the type to call." He shrugged a shoulder. "Besides, that store of hers is killing her."
He shook his head and sipped at his coffee. Bi-colored eyes never left Drummer. It seemed as though his anger had been replaced with a calm disposition. On the verge of amusement...

Drummer looked at Tristan, who had a satisfied look on his face.
"Well," Drummer said, "Then I guess I don't have anything to worry about."
Drummer was tired of being the one under scrutiny.
"So Tristan, not at the jewelry store today?" he asked with a overly friendly smile. The sarcasm was real now, but Cotton Candy had disappeared into the kitchen.
He regretted it the instant he said it, but he didn't let it show.

Tristan chuckled at Drummer's question. It was the kind of chuckle that could send chills down your spine.
"Yeah. We all know how fairies, such as myself, love jewelry." The overly confident revelation was delivered with a sweet smile.
He locked his eyes on Drummer's. It would a great deal of fun to see the stallion's reaction. Though, there was a glint in his eyes that warned he was about to snap.

Drummer just shook his head. He wondered how he could like Willow so much, yet clash with her brother. "Faerie wasn't quite the word I was thinking." he said with a smirk. "Drummer!" Cotton Candy said in a sharp whisper-like voice, reappearing from the kitchen, "I think it's time you took a break." "Tristan, right?" she said, "I'm sorry." she refilled his coffee quickly and placed a few napkins beside his mug. She looked back at Drummer. Actually, just take the rest of the day off. I'll see you tommorrow." She glared at him. Drummer tossed his apron over the bar. "Yeah, " he said with a huff. He looked back at Tristan. "Enjoy your coffee" he said with a raised eyebrow.

Glancing at the clock and deciding it was time for a lunch break, Dash came out from behind the counter and walked out the door, locking the door carefully behind him. He had sensed some bad vibes coming from the direction of the Cafe, bad vibes that "felt" like Tristan, so he decided he'd head over there, rather than eat lunch at home.
He walked the few blocks to the cafe quickly; the sensations had mostly dissipated, but he still wanted to make sure.
Entering the Cafe, he spotted Tristan right away (he was pretty hard to miss) and walked toward him. Hopping up on the stool beside him, he faced the black stallion. "Hey," he said softly. "Everything okay?"

Tristan merely smiled at Drummer. This wasn't the time, nor the place.
As Cotton Candy refilled his cup, he smiled sincerely at her. "Don't worry about it."
He looked at Drummer. A sharp grin was flashed in the stallion's direction.
Turning back around to face his mug, he sipped at the liquid. He hadn't even noticed when Dash entered the cafe. In all honesty, he was surprised to hear the stallion's voice. Though, he of course didn't let it show.
"I'm fine. But I can't guarantee Drummer will be for long." The last bit of his statement was practically mumbled. Who? Him? Violent? Never!

Dash arched one eyebrow. He'd seen Drummer as he entered the Cafe; the other stallion had been leaving. He hadn't looked happy. "Care to tell me what happened?" he asked, knowing full well that Tristan probably wouldn't.

Tristan looked at Dash for a moment. He was much too patient. How did he do it?
"Don't worry about it." He gave a half hearted smile and turned back to his coffee.
What the hell am I doing?

Drummer laughed to himself when Rainbow Dash entered the cafe. "Everything's fine." he said, with mock sincerity. As he spoke, he realized he didn't even know why he was so worked up. What had Tristan said that peeved him off? It was too late anyway.
Drummer heard Tristan mumble something about him.
"Excuse me? I didn't hear that." he walked back behind the bar and approached Tristan.
Cotton Candy stepped in front of Drummer, a look of warning in her eyes. "Drummer, I'm telling you right now, if this continues you will not like the outcome. Now calm down and go home."
Drummer took a deep breath and composed himself.
