"Where else?," Peri replied, getting up from the bed, "The cafe."
He found a napkin and a half chewed pen, scribbled a note as to where he was going on it. Dropped it on the table. Then he went to a glass on the counter willed with cleaning fluid and his glass eye. Like nothing, he pulled the patch off and placed it in. "Ready when you are."

Slightly clumsily, but as quietly as she could, Jewel too climbed out of the sofa bed and stood up on sleepy legs. After a few yawns and a nod, Jewel followed Peri out the door.

(ooc: All right. I haven't seen Stella in ages, so I am assuming I still play Inti then. Since Brigid technically has one mage...I'll have to deal.)
Brigid awoke with a start for the first time in several centuries. Her breath was trapped deep within her chest, and she stared wide eyes at the wall opposite her. Her heart beat with such a rapidity, that the beige goddess knew that it could have only met one thing...War.
The telepathic statement was enough to lull Inti from his own slumbering reverie. He sat up slowly, eyes landing upon the rather startled Brigid. "Wha....? Huh? Blazes it's--"
"Hush!," Brigid snapped, her ears swirled down flat against her head. No....she wasn't imagining it, it was the same feeling she'd felt the night before, only escalated. Yama and Set were at it again. Tyr was present as well....claiming to end what they were starting.
This was it, it came down to war earlier than expected. "We must go now, battle wages between Tyr, Set, and Yama. We must help balance it out.," Brigid ordered to the younger god. She stood up swiftly, moving her horn to removed the bandages that covered her flesh. Though the wounds were still horribly to take in, the tissue had been healed enough to allow Brigid to fight once more. Without another word, she threw open the bedroom door and stepped out confidently to see Peri and Jewel awake.
"There is a slaughter in your town's center. We must go there now.," Brigid said with a cold voice built ready for the siege of battle. Inti stumbled out behind her. "Peri Winkle, we have to go." He eyes Jewel with some bit of uncertainty.
Instantly the white stallion turned his face to Jewel. His body was tense, and although his face displayed a calming air, his eyes danced with nervousness and a tone of pleading. "Jewel, if you have to fight, leave Eshu...! Fight with me and Inti, or even Brigid!"
The goddess looked directly into the peg's eyes. "Yes, lass, join me and I will never order you to pit against him. Decide now."

In that brief instant, the world seemed to stop. Jewel's heart thundered in her chest, her breath drawn and held in a silent gasp, and wide eyes staring at Brigid. The mare hadn't expected this so soon. Thoughts flew, not settling on one thing, much as the startled peg tried to concentrate.
As Brigid spoke, Jewel's eyes penetrated the goddess as much as a mortal pony's could. She saw not the black abyss of uncertainty and deception she had seen in Eshu's.. no, Brigid was sincere. Slowly, a new look crept upon the peg's features. Years of training began to kick in, suddenly giving Jewel a more powerful presence than had been there before. The stone in her amulet swirled purple, and a resonant voice rung in her mind, "You know where your heart lies... now honor it."
Now shifting her weight from hoof to hoof, Jewel nodded to Brigid, "I'll fight with you."
"But you can't!"
Eyes turned on the purple stallion who had come in the night before. Kimono froze and shrunk, unfamiliar with speaking out at all. "You can't.. we're Eshu's mages. He might..."

Brigid laughed arrogantly, coldly, before turning her face to Kimono. "Can't she? Ultimately it is a mortal's choice to where he truly belongs, it has always been thus. If Eshu is a dark god, then one of the light can easily remove the bond between mage and god should the mage wish it. The same is true if one of my mages should wish to side with Eshu."
Her green eyes danced daringly, asking for the quiet Kimono to dare defy her. When she was certain of such, she looked again back to Jewel. What came next was a shock to those who did not know her deeply. Her cold, diminutive expression softened, and she gave the golden pegasus a look of kind gratitude. It was sqiftly replaced with a vigorous face ready for battle.
The goddes closed her eyes and moved her horn just slightly, a faint blue glow forming at the tip. The goddess sensed Eshu's mark, and with a snort it diminished, scattering away like ash. Replacing it was a warm breeze of confidence, one to encourage the new mage to fight. "It is done. Come, we must go. Innocents are being slain, Yama and Set must be stopped."
With that, Brigid was out of the door with the darting agility one could compare to a deer. Inti stood a moment longer, smiling with a bright face to Jewel's decision. Then, he looked back to Kimono with a concerned look. "I can't force you to side with us, but you're welcome to help us instead of Eshu."
Not expecting the other mage to really say anything about the offer, Inti followed Brigid in hot pursuit. Peri turned to look at Jewel. Words couldn't convey the message he wanted to say at that time. He was worried, concerned, and perhaps even curious as to what lay before them. So, unable to speak, he gave Jewel a tender nuzzle before turning to follow after the others.

Kimono froze like a bushwoolie in headlights as Brigid looked at him. On shaking knees, he backed up to the sofa he'd slept on, emerald eyes showing not much else besides fear. He thought first she meant to hurt him, even kill him, since he had blurted out that he was, indeed, one of Eshu's mages. He looked at Jewel, who seemed to suddenly realize why he had come after all. She said nothing, however, too absorbed in the new task at hand. Instead of assuming Eshu was bad, Kimono only reasoned that Brigid was the dark goddess, and had Jewel trapped under her spell. As soon as the group left the apartment, Kimono hurriedly gathered his things and ran off in search of Eshu.

As they all trotted off together toward the square, Jewel hung back with Peri, letting Brigid and Inti lead the way. Her eyes were glazed over, she carried her head almost stiffly, and her wings were folded straight back. Old mantras and important lessons looped over and over again in her head. It had been quite some time since her last battle, but the skills never left her. Part of her had been raised as a warrior.
Eventually, Jewel turned her head to look at Peri. It dawned on her that he had probably never seen a battle in his life. She cleared her throat, and spoke in low tones, "You know the kind of fighting they teach you for acting?" She didn't pause to let him answer, "Don't do that. It's flashy and pretty but it isn't going to get the job done. Move. Don't stand still and be a sitting duck, but don't draw too much attention to yourself," She swallowed, "Sparing your own life isn't about fighting fair.. your opponent doesn't have to see you for you to kill them." She said this all in a factual manner, nothing in her voice suggesting she actually WANTED to go into battle. In fact, it was the opposite. Prepared as she was, she rarely looked forward to combat. "Courage. I'll watch out for you."

Orange eyes twinkled as he watched the colt leave the castle. Head nodding, the unicorn urged the pegasus on.
"Don't look back. Just keep going." Jol thought.
Perhaps for the last time he watched the white foal walk away. If mind tricks worked on the colt he would have happily used one on him than to keep all that was coming from reaching him. But for some reason those mind tricks of his didn't work on the pegasus. Why, he hadn't ever figured out. Perhaps that was a good thing, perhaps not. There was nothing he could do about it, at least for now. Later he would possess the power he craved. All in good time. He had been promised. Head turning in the opposite direction that Silence had gone, Jol left the castle at a brisk trot.

(Gonna take care of Silence first.)
“Go home.” Jol ordered, “Now.”
The orange stallion's firm words echoed in Silences mind. Something was happening. Something bad, and Silence knew it from the moment he saw his father's twisted smirk. It didn't feel right and it left the young colt with a sick feeling in his stomach.
He was shoved towards the door forcefully and at that point Silence was frieghtened. His frosty tail tucked between his legs and his wings were folded flatly against his body. He turned one final time only to see Jol's seemingly cold stare and he trotted away.
Jol came out after him and Silence's curiosity was rekindled. He lept into some nearby bushes and watched. When the coast was clear, he followed. For some strange reason, he felt it safer to go on foot this time.
