The pegasus was too lost in her thoughts to notice Kail was gone until she heard the door. With a sigh, and without the energy to follow, Jewel lifted her head and sat quietly. Once Brigid left, she felt Peri's hoof on hers. Looking up at the handsome white stallion, a smile surfaced on the mare's face. Leaning closer to Peri, the pegasus nuzzled his neck in appreciation. Hiding a yawn, she spoke softly, "We might as well get back to bed--"
Her attention was diverted by a sound near the door. Ears swiveling, she turned to see Kimono standing in the doorway. Giving him an emotionless "What do you want?" glance, she tried to remember where she had seen him before. She was too tired to think of the battle, of all things.
"Uh, hello.." Kimono bowed his head shyly, "I was wondering if you could put up a homeless stallion for the night? They ran out of space at the Nursery.." He stepped in a little further, "I'm Kimono, by the way. I'm sorry to intrude so late."
Jewel looked to Peri. This was his place, after all.

Peri gave Jewel the best smile he could, though currently it was still very weak. The two beds in his bedroom had gods in them, and he and Jewel had the couch. There was a worn in love seat in the corner, which Peri owned due to it being comfortable rather than matching his decor. Not even giving the decision any thought, Peri Winkle shrugged his shoulders loosely. "Not a problem, been a party here anyway. What's one more?"
He made a gesture to the love seat he'd spotted and slowly moved his way to the linen closet. There he pulled a spare blanket and pillow and tossed them for him to catch. "Name's Peri Winkle. Bathroom's just down there," he pointed again with his hoof. "Make yourself at home."
The actor then turned to his door and looked out, just to see if any more visitors wanted to drop in. Seeing nothing except the empty hall, Peri Winkle closed and locked his door hopefully for the last time that night. He was beginning to do a lot of wishful thinking within the past couple hours, and currently the latest wish was to get enough sleep in order to function enough to head out and get breakfast in the morning for everyone there.
His thoughts were pushed aside, however, when he laid his eye back to Jewel on the couch. This time a warm smile crept upon his lips and he slowly, almost lazily crawled back on top of the couch. "Now...," he purred softly, "Where were we?"

"Thank you," Kimono said before stepping into the room. As he laid his pack on the floor and spread the blanket, being sure to keep his things nearby and tidy, he snuggled into the couch. "You know, what with all these gods running about, I wouldn't want to sleep out on the street," He paused, "..again. Thank you for your hospitality.." The purple stallion pulled the blanket up to his chin.
Jewel smiled and chuckled softly as Peri crawled back in next to her. She started to lean her head up to him when Kimono spoke. "Please," She said tiredly, "No more talk of gods for tonight.. there will be plenty to talk about tomorrow," She said to the newcomer, slighlty unsure of him. Pushing thoughts of Kimono out of her mind, the mare gently moved her body against the white stallion, eager for the warmth he provided her.

"You too, eh?," Peri Winkle mumbled out in a soft chuckle. Perhaps if he was awake the fact another stallion showing up spouting of gods may have served as a warning to him. However, this was not the case and Kimono's sudden presence was never questioned.
Not sparing the energy to think a moment further of gods, he nuzzled Jewel affectionately. Despite how hot the summer heat was now, it was still refreshing to feel the heat of another body next to him. Snuggling even more, a smile deep on his features, he rested himself comfortably down, awaiting Jewel to do the same.

Peri's new presence in the mare's life had made it so that Roux was little more than a memory in the back of her mind. She felt so content with him in that moment, she wished for that night to go on for longer than they both knew it would. A brief sad thought penetrated Jewel's mind: this might be one of the last of such nights for a long time, or forever. Before resting her head down, the mare touched Peri's cheek gently with the tip of one wing, moving from his cheek, down his shoulder, until the wing was properly folded back again. Jewel then slowly covered his lips with her own in a passionate kiss. She then whispered, "I'd betray the gods for you."

The delicate touch of Jewel's finger sent a lingering feeling down the whole of Peri Winkle's still form. The tingling on his cheek was very similar to the soft whisper of the wind. On some sub conscious level Peri strained his ears as if to listen to a voice once forgotten until the tingling subsided.
It was no surprise that, while trying to hear, that Jewel's tender kiss came as suddenly as it did to him. Peri never showed signs of tensing, despite how quick it came to pass, and met hers with his own pleasent brushing of his lips. One could easily say that it was something they'd probably seen in one of the soap operas that Peri worked in, but this kiss wasn't an act, he trully displayed his most sincere emotions in it. And Peri Winkle was certain that Jewel had recieved the message. "Is it just me, or did that kiss take the words right out of my mouth?" It was obvious he felt the same.

"I don't know," She grinned, speaking softly, "Maybe we should make sure," The mare leaned toward him to give him a softer, shorter kiss. There was surely something inexpressible and invaluable about love and companionship. Though these two were only at the beginning of however long they would remain together, it was nevertheless wonderful. The golden mare had been without a stallion in her life since Roux had left, and only now really realized what she had been missing. Jewel smiled, looking Peri in his one eye. "Goodnight, Peri," She whispered, before tucking her head under his against his chest.

Peri Winkle smiled, content playing on his warm features and evident in his green eye. He waited, head poised as his companion positioned herself in that of the most of ease and comfort, then he too lowered his head. Gently he nuzzled her forhead, leaving traces of his breath on her skin before resting his chin above her head. The question of whether Peri would recieve enough sleep was answered, with Jewel in his arms, it was possible.

[OOC: Still in the hallway.]
The softened expression on the unicorn’s face changed so suddenly that even his own mother would have taken a startled step or two away from him. Orange eyes glittered in a demonic way as his face twisted into a sinister smile. Someone had been killed. But why the bloody hell hadn’t whoever let him know before hoof? He would have happily helped in assisting. Especially if it involved mind games of any kind. Oh how he loved them so.
“Go home.” Jol ordered, “Now.”
The unicorn left no room for arguments as he pushed Silence towards the castle entrance. He would have added in talk to no one, but since the foal had never spoken there was little need for it now. Jol wasn’t stupid he knew very well that what was about to hit the town would probably end with more than one or two lives being taken. Even possibly his own. Not that he would go easily. No, he’d fight like a wounded badger with every last ounce of his being to keep from falling.

(jumps to morning 'cause Jewel says so)
Sun streamed through the thin curains of Peri Winkle's humble abode. The sounds of five different stallions and mares peacefully in slumber resounded in an odd orchastra. As the speckls of light moved with the rising sun, the eventually casted golden hues upon the sleeping duo entertwined on the couch bed.
Peri Winkles white eyelids twitched, his body feeling the warmth the summer sun was giving. Slowly he pushed his eyelid open, remembering he still had his eye patch on. Blinking a moment, he realized all the heat came from the body next to his. Instantly a grin warmed his face. "Jewel," he whispered with mild joy.
Slowly he nibbled the others ear, trying to gently awaken his slumbering angel.

The world of dreams was slowly fading as the golden pegasus was brought back to consciousness. She sighed audibly as a smile crept onto her sleepy face. Without opening her eyes, she nuzzled closer to him, resting her head against his neck and breathing out slowly. For so many reasons, she didn't want to get up. She didn't want to leave the here and now and open the future to uncertainty. She didn't want a battle, she didn't want gods and mages.. she wanted Jewel and Peri together at this instant.
At his touch, she flicked a wingtip and mumbled, "Mmm?"

"Morning, love," Peri said in the softest of fashions, "Want to catch a bite before the slumbering glods awaken and ruin the day?"
He grinned, Inti wasn't really a burden to him. Brigid on the otherhand....he grimiced.

Jewel mumbled something incoherent, grinned, and trailed off. She wasn't necessarily a morning pony.

Peri chuckled at Jewel's answer. "Normally I'd take that as a no, but, I'm sure once you got some caffene into you..." He purred. He had hoped to make the most of their time awake, Eshu may be lurking, and he didn'tlike the thought of Jewel near him.

"Mmm.." Jewel rolled away from Peri and stretched, then yawned and opened her eyes, "All right, jewel-butt.. you win." Slowly the pegasus sat up, taking time to carefully stretch and refold her wings. To her own surprise, her stomach gurgled. Jewel put a hoof to her stomach and looked over at Peri trying not to smile.
"So, where to, then?" She yawned.
