Inti knew getting sodas wasn't the white stallion's only motive, so we followed him in. "Uh...yeah, I'll help." He said with a grin mostly for show in front of the mare and foal.
When they reached the privacy of the kitchen Inti immidiately disposed his smile and revealed a serious, almost distressed expression.
"Peri Winkle," He began at a low tone. "Do you remember when I explained to you about dark gods? You've already seen Yama, but there is another, Eshu, and guess what? He's right here in the castle. We have to protect the mare and foal from him, but at the same time, I can't let her know ponies like me exist. Brigid would slaughter me."
At that moment the god winced. "Hold on..." He said. "I'm getting somethng..." It was a very vague statement but he was trying to focus. His ears twitched as if he were an electronic device picking up a transmition.
Inti? It is Brigid.
'Speak of the devil' He thought secretly to himself in a matter-of fact-tone. He let her continue.
I wish to have a word with you, I have wronged you and wish to... apologize.
At first, Inti was shocked, but then his expression softened.
I am coming in. Do not come to get me, I can find my way. Eshu is about, and you are better guarding the flock. Fear not, I will not engage battle with him. I have done enough fighting all ready.
Inti nodded, forgeting she couldn't see him. Yes, I sensed him as soon as he entered the castle. My mage and two others are here, a mare and a foal. I'm not sure, but I think he's after them. There was a short pause as if Inti had stoped communicating with her and went on his way, but finally he added. And as far was appologies go, don't worry about it.He chuckled. We've got bigger fish to fry right now.
He knew it was hard for Brigid to appologise to him. He knew how hard she wanted people to think she was, but he knew inside she had a soft side, and she meant well. That was all that mattered to him.
"Brigid is on he way for backup. Be prepared to let her in."

Brigid listened to the other's response, slowly making her way through the castle's doors. Perhaps she was not the prettiest thing to lay eyes on that moment (as her bruised and bandaged body could turn heads in the worst of ways) Brigid still managed to maintain and odd form of grace whilst she walked. It may have been from her immortal line of blood, or merely the natural grace a unicorn possessed. Whichever the case, it was still present.
You forget my abilities, Inti. I may be wounded, but that does not mean I cannot sense out the presence of your company. The foal belongs to someone all ready, I fear, but your other companion seems neutral of any gods marks. She lingered on whether it was wise or not to explain that Tsuwari ranked of the pipe Set on occasion liked to smoke from. Deciding not to, but adding as an after thought, Do not worry about revealing yourself. She all ready knows, or at least is suspicious of it. I...I am afraid I frightened her a deal back the other night.
She shook this sudden thought of guilt from her. Brigid had to focus now! Later would be the time that she could think of the trivial mistakes made prior. Coming nearer to the area she desired, as she could tell from Inti's presence, she continued speaking to him. I will be using a low energy illusionary spell... just to prevent the child from seeing my broken body, least he be frightened. Using a spell to prevent you and the adults would be a waste as you three have all ready seen my injuries.
Brigid stopped momentarily in front of the door, pausing just enough for a deep intake of air and to cast the spell she desired. Then, without so much as a knock, she opened the door and entered herself. As if to punctuate her entrance, she thought to Inti, If there is not time for apologizes, than expect one given properly on a later date.
Peri shot a look briefly into the living area, and then back to Inti. It had only been a moment of time to listen to the god's words, then to see him blank out, and for Brigid to suddenly come into his home. At first Peri Winkle was filled with emotions of mild anger, irritation, perhaps even some fear, but he quickly forced himself to calm down. He was amongst the company of gods, and one thing he had learned was you never push a god out of your home. Especially Brigid.
The actor ducted back into the kitchen. "Are you sure it's safe for her to be around foals?!," he hissed under his breath to Inti, but having a feeling that Brigid would have heard it all the same.

Jewel and Tsuwari followed the others into Peri's living area, Jewel for one glad to be in a more enclosed, safe-feeling space. Tsuwari was swaying on his feet, exhausted from the night's events so far. Without asking, the pegasus scooped up the foal and lay him on the sofa, and he soon curled up against the pillows fast asleep. Jewel too climbed onto the sofa, tucking all her legs beneath her. She rested her chin on the arm rest, ears flicking around, listening to the snippets of conversation in the next room. Her eyelids began to flutter. As soon as the door opened, Jewel was braced on her feet in a heartbeat. Trying her best to stay calm, she had subconsciously put herself between Brigid and Tsuwari, who hadn't woken. Perhaps it was a shred of maternal instinct, even though she wasn't his mother. She watched Brigid closely with what she tried to present as a confident calm, but the mare had indeed scared her before. The pegasus had no notion of the goddess's intentions, and with everything else that was going on, she did her best to stay alert and ready for anything. Purple eyes stayed on the beige mare. ((DW, Jewel probably won't be terribly keen on the idea of being a mage, but she can definitely be... persueded If there's some commotion or some such, that would give Tsuwari the chance to run off... just an idea between Sil and I))

Eshu peeked into the room, making sure no one was about to spring out and attack him, and also making sure Inti or the other prescence didn't see him. Too late, there was Brigid, how interfering of her! He grinned smoothly and stepped in behind her. "Long time no see, you wouldn't be harrassing the poor mare would you? I need a new mage and I really can't afford to have you scare all the gifted ones away." He turned to Jewel "My dear mare, how did you find youself in such terrible company? I assure you mine is much better. In fact, I have a rather nice offer to make..." He glanced around, the foal was anothers, Inti and his mage were in teh next room and Brigid was right in front of him. He was hopelessly outnumbered without a mage. Even with it would be a very narrow escape indeed. He cast about for a plan. He called his mages, he would need back-up, whatever he decided to do. ((I'd have his entire little sales pitch here, but somehow I doubt he'd have time for that at this moment. ))

Aloha Pearl scrunched her nose as she heard her master's voice resounding out in her head. Did he have to be so loud about it? Pushing herself up off the grass where she had been laying lazily all morning she started trotting towards the castle, not in any rush.
"Lo mon," was her entrance as she pushed a braided strand of much too long hair behind her right ear. "Whadayahadey?"

Where do they all keep coming from?? Jewel thought, purple eyes widening as a second god-like pony walked into the apartment. I guess gods don't believe in knocking. She watched Eshu warily.
"My dear mare, how did you find youself in such terrible company? I assure you mine is much better. In fact, I have a rather nice offer to make..."
What's he proposing?? Jewel took a half step back and looked at Eshu. He seemed smooth on the outside, but it was his true motivations that worried her. I wonder what Peri knows of all this..
Without answering Eshu directly, Jewel turned her head toward the kitchen, eyes still between Eshu and Brigid, "Peri? Peri can you come here a second...?"

Brigid's eyes met Jewel's for just a brief, solid moment. The beige unicorn's face remained unsurprisingly devoid of harsh, or soft expressions. Her eyes glanced back down to Tsuwari, and then to Jewel again. "Relax, I've no qualms with you or the-"
It was at this time Eshu conveniently made his entrance. Not only did this startle Brigid since it happened so suddenly, but that she did not realize his presence so near the room so soon. She was getting rusty.
The beige goddess spun around, her once neutral face barring a look that could make some of the strongest warriors squirm.
"Long time no see, you wouldn't be harassing the poor mare would you? I need a new mage and I really can't afford to have you scare all the gifted ones away."
"I scare no one.," she said forcefully. Though, considering the past two days, this statement was clearly a lie.
"My dear mare, how did you find yourself in such terrible company? I assure you mine is much better. In fact, I have a rather nice offer to make..."
Brigid took two steps forward to him, emphasizing her presence, but more so making sure she stayed between Jewel, Tsuwari, and Eshu. Brigid had no interest in Jewel as a mage, at least not at present with lack of time to scope her out, but the goddess had learned a valuable lesson the other day. All ready she'd somehow let a perfect mage (surprisingly scared half to death by all the gods) be contracted to Yama. She would try her hardest to avoid it happening again.
"I am going to say this in a way you will most certainly be able to comprehend, Eshu.," Brigid said with mock sweetness, "Leave."
Peri Winkle, now seemingly a little panicked, scampered into the living room to side up with Jewel. Surprisingly, he had root beer floats gathered on a plate to present, not just to Jewel and Tsuwari, but enough to satisfy Eshu and Brigid. The extra two had originally been for Inti and himself, but taking note of the situation, best to not anger the other gods off.
The white stallion gave Jewel a strong smile, though; deep down he did not feel so strong.

"Oh Brigid, you don't want to hurt me... do you?" he glanced at Aloha pearl "We value your presence., at least I do, it certainly evens things up more. I do believe we're waiting for one more though, do you know where Jol might be? Well, no, you wouldn't, I don't think you've ever met him, have you? I need to get more organized..." He turned back to Brigid "I'd like you to meet one of my two mages, Aloha Pearl. I'm waiting on another to arrive if he should so choose as well, so be forwarned that if there is a fight it may indeed be tipped in my favor. I refuse to leave a potential mage to you or Inti of all gods." With that he flicked his tail and stood with the manner of a large boulder sitting under a walruss, he just wasn't going to move. "Oh my, is that for me?" he eyed the root beer float witb interest. Eshu was a rather presumptious type. "Oh, and about my proposal, shall I explain? Or would dear Brigid bar me from even that?' he gave her a look of false shock at the idea. And then grinned at Jewel, making an extreme attempt to look dashing. "I propose that you would join Aloha Pearl and Jol as one of my mages. To help me more or less. I guarantee the rewards will be quite large. The foal isn't my responisbility, it seems another god claimed him already, pity, he's quite strong isn't he?"

" I refuse to leave a potential mage to you or Inti of all gods."
Jewel found her voice, "Mage? What are you talking about?" She looked from Eshu to Brigid, then glanced at Peri. The pegasus made a hopeful conclusion, avoiding the idea that they were talking about her as this potential mage, "I can't give the foal to you--he isn't mine.. you'd have to talk to his mother about that."

((Just read LNS's away post and moved Jol, as he was summoned, he won't do anything really until he can't get back.))
Eshu chuckled "The foal? I do believe he is already claimed. My dear, I was refering to you." It was at this moment that aJol decided to arrive and stood off to the side, he seemed a bit gone...

"I refuse to leave a potential mage to you or Inti of all gods."
"Inti and I can manage mages perfectly well."
"I propose that you would join Aloha Pearl and Jol as one of my mages.
"She isn't interested," Brigid said stiffly, puffing her chest out to appear bigger, though the act caused her shoulder wound to ache. "Now. Leave.," Brigid stated again.
Oh sure, she had earlier resulted not to get into a fight, but clearly Brigid had disregarded her earlier statement.
Peri Winkle chuckled lightly, in hopes to lighten the mood. Though, clearly in the tense air his laughter was out of place and failed to serve it's purpose. "Uh, yeah, I guess so.," Peri mumbled out, handing the plastic cup to the dark god. In turn, he held another to Brigid, whom stared back at it coldly and annoyed.

"One of you claimed a foal?" Jewel's expression was of surprise and mild disgust, "He's so young.." She glanced at the sleeping Tsuwari, surprised he hadn't woken from the conversation. Something below her caught her eye, and Jewel glanced down at the amulet around her neck. Brigid, Inti, and Eshu's colors were swirling within the fire opal at the heart of the silver encasement. Not wanting to draw attention to such a possession, she didn't pause to study the colors.
"Though I'm not sure exactly what these 'rewards' consist of, I'm not sure I want to be immersed with your.. type." The pegasus replied, not taking too much concern of offending a god, but at the same time speaking with patience and calm.

"Not one of us." Eshu mustered enough dignity to sound inslted, "He's to young to be of any real use, but Set finds a use for everyone I'm sure," "My type?" I assure you, my type is quite a bit better than theirs." he guestured to Bridget "A much better sense of fair play, and certainly not nearly so violent" Quite a bit mroe so actually...

"Even so, I'm not sure I want to meddle in the affairs of.. gods. Nothing I've heard is enough to entice me. The last thing I want is to be a pawn in whatever game you're all playing with we mortal ponies," Fatigue and frustration forcing her words out before thinking, Jewel took a step closer to Peri. She clearly didn't think highly of the gods who had infiltrated Ponyville.

(ooc: Geez you guys...I spend the day working on a stupid lab report and you all have a field day! Gotta catch up.) Inti followed right behind Peri into the main room to find quite a mess of different faces. It the immediate sight of Eshu he tensed his body and stood beside his mage defensively, his ears pinned back and his eyes narrowed. Yet still, he would let Brigid do most of the talking here. She was more experienced with these kinds of thing anyway. "She isn't interested Now. Leave.""You better listen to her Eshu." He said lightly. He was confident enough that he could play with his words a bit. Peri offered the dark god a glass of rootbeer but Inti held out his hoof to block the glass from going any farther. "No, Peri." He ordered. After a bit more of Eshu's talking Inti was getting fed up with this. "Brigid, can I shut him up, please?" He huffed irritated, referring to his ability to seize the voices of others. "I'm sick of his mouth." The statement was quite hypocritical since Inti happened to be one of the most talkative gods on the earth.
