Aloha had watched the proceedings with curious bright eyes. She really didn't have much of a flair for fighting, but she loved a good game. Challenges were always fun in her opinion, and this seemed to be a challenge - to get this yellow and purple mare to join up with them.
Happily taking a glass of rootbeer from the cute stallion, Loha-P walked over to Jewel with a smile. "Its alot of fun mon," she took a sip, "being a mage. Ya get t'play ah sorts a games, and learn ah sorts a tings. An Eshy hey aint bad mon, little serious over some mattahs, but mostly its just good fun." She left out the learning magic part - Pearl wasn't terribly excited about that part. No Jadun's ever were. But at least the magic could be fun. She took a big gulp of the sweet liquid and smiled warmly at Jewel.

Eshu rolled his eyes at Inti. "Aren't you feeling confident? I prefer to keep my voice thank you. Just like you'd prefer to keep you head on your shoulders..." Eshu smiled warmly at Aloha for her much needed help and debated what to do next. "Yes, there certainly is a lot to learn," he said to Jewel "Powers you can not yet imagine."

Brigid, much like Eshu, was half insulted by Jewel's remark of claiming a foal. Though, she could state truthful that the foal, Harvest Moon, did wet her appetite to no end, Brigid would certainly not go as far as claiming a foal. Foals were irritating at best, and even if they weren't, it would be ruthless to throw someone so young in the slues of war. This and Eshu had a point. They weren't strong enough to serve a purpose.
Dear...Jewel, was it? I believe the god you are asking in question would be our beloved Set.... His name sounded much like the hissing snakes he had a tendency to not enjoy. Brigid did not enjoy prying into the minds of others, if she could help it, foals' minds tended to be very loud. It was not hard to recall what Tsuwari had probably gone through the past day or so. Again, she thought to Jewel silently, You may wish to consult with his mother.
Peri Winkle stepped back as Inti had blocked him from the other guests. As he backed down, Jewel finished her own say of the matter. This alone caused the actor to suddenly think with worry. Pawn...?
All ready being a mage for some time to Inti had taught him to guard his thoughts from prying gods. If anything, Inti would have been the other to hear his questions. Is that what all of us mages are to... He stopped. No, clearly he was wrong. Inti, god or not, was his friend. And Inti would not use him for personal intentions if he could avoid it. All doubts aside, Peri regained a strong stance.
As if he too needed to add himself into the argument, the actor did not resist in giving Jewel his thoughts. "Some of the gods here may think of their mages as mere pawns, Jewel, but there are some around whom don't." He wouldn't exactly say that he didn't think that the other light gods aside Inti didn't use their mages as objects, but Peri wasn't going to exclude the thought from his head either.
"I'm not trying to tell you to make a decision. If anything, I'm suggesting you not let any of the gods here push you into one. However, if you had to make a choice, I would stray away from Eshu, Set, or Yama." He shuddered. "Especially Yama." Or psycho warrior goddess here.
"Aren't you feeling confident? I prefer to keep my voice thank you. Just like you'd prefer to keep you head on your shoulders..."
Brigid merely turned her head in a way that emphasized the presence of the horn on her head. Not just to Eshu, but to Inti as well. Her thoughts sharply leapt to Inti's mind. Have I not scolded you all ready of insulting a formidable foe, Inti? Rise above their level and do not stoop so low as to throw demeaning words about.
"Yes, there certainly is a lot to learn. Powers you can not yet imagine."
"He is quite right, Jewel," Brigid stated, her face clearly speaking that she was reluctant to agree at all with him about anything. "It is, however, your choice to pursue training in unlocking greater powers with in yourself, and with whom you do this with, if at all."
Brigid honestly did not like what she had to say. The beige goddess would love it if she had the opportunity to take her as a mage, as one of her flock, to train. But she wanted a dark god not to gain a mage even more than wanting one herself. If convincing her to not take up sides would prevent at least that, then Brigid knew she was at least doing some good.

Eshu sniffed "Well, I for one, am greatly insulted that you would group me with Set and Yama!" It was true, Eshu considered himself a step above all others, how was the world to function without him? How had it? "I'm much more civilized, and have much more important things to do with my life. I," he began with a flourish "am the gatekeeper, caretaker of the interstellar doorways." he grinned rather smuggly.

((*emerges from mountains of tissues, empty tea mugs, and medication* I'm here! Kind of.. ))
Jewel considered everything the gods and Brigid were saying, and against her stronger judgement, resolved to take a chance and fall into Eshu's service. What was the worst that could happen? Well.. actually.. she didn't choose to think about that right then.
"You may wish to consult his mother.."
Jewel looked at the beige goddess with acknowlegement, keeping those words in the back of her mind.
She had to admit,. the sharpened powers were very appealing. She already had the beginnings of a kind of psychic power.. wouldn't it be exciting to fulfill that potential?
With slight hesitation, she cleared her throat and looked at Eshu.
"I...accept."

Eshu shot Brigid, Inti, and Peri a ratehr triumphant grin and nodded to Jewel. "You may accompany me now for your training, or yu may stay here and sort things out until you are ready if you wish..."
((How does one go about training a mage?))

(ooc: Sorry everyone. I'm gonna be scarce this weekend, although I did not intend to be. *shrug* I dunno Tink. I usually just hang out with my mages and say I taught them stuff.) "Some of the gods here may think of their mages as mere pawns, Jewel, but there are some around whom don't."A smile crept up Inti's face for a moment. He was proud that Peri was his mage. He knew he saw him as a friend, and not a pawn like the golden pegasus thought. Have I not scolded you all ready of insulting a formidable foe, Inti? Rise above their level and do not stoop so low as to throw demeaning words about.Inti had a sudden swing in emotions. Brigid turning on him was never a good feeling. How were they supposed to act like allies if she would not allow him to be himself and speak his mind. Maybe to her he was just a pawn in all this as well. Sometimes it was like she didn’t see him as a person at all. Fumbling on his words now, he could not think of anything to say. …Sorry.. He uttered telepathically only to her lowering his head and looking in her direction guiltily but then narrowed his eyes back to Eshu. Just because he had felt bad for making a mistake did not mean he’d let his guard down. Still, he decided he would remain silent from here on out. Better to be totally silent than to speak and end up saying something he’d regret. After a bit more listening to the others, and giving Eshu a few more dirty looks, Jewel finally excepted Eshu’s offer. Inti’s head shot up again and his ears pricked in alertness with his golden tribal earrings jingling. “No..!” He couldn’t believe such a sweet and seemingly gentle mare would actually fall into the hooves of such an evil being. She obviously had no idea what she was getting herself into. He gave Brigid a look as if to say ‘what do we do?’ He almost always looked to Brigid for instructions if he had the chance. She was a few hundred years older than him, and more experienced in these sort of things without question. He did not dwell on looking at her for very long, especially not in the eyes. He was still a little ashamed of himself, but he tried to put that behind it for the moment. This was important.

(ooc: Aww, poor Inti~ Brigid cares! She just looks upon him like a little brother, she has to make it hard on him ^_~)
Peri's jaw rang agape at Jewel's sudden answer. Had he just heard what he thought he heard? No! Certainly he hadn't! But, remaining silent and watching the reactions of those about him spoke the opposite. She...s-she agreed?! To him?!
Instantly his green eye shot directly to his god, as if silently praying to him to resolve this horrible event. However, Peri Winkle quickly saw that Inti was looking to Brigid, much in a similar fashion that he was looking to him. Alarm bells sounded off in his head. Seeing Inti look to that psycho goddess for help, well, Peri did not think it was boding well.
His face then shot to Jewel's in a pleading fashion. "Jewel. Don't. Do. This.," he said, forcing the words out as seriously as he could, "At least not with Eshu. I might have to fight you if you stay with him." He looked into her face pleadingly, hoping she would change her mind.
Finally, after remaining silent through the other's reactions, Brigid spoke. "Clearly you can find better mages, Eshu.," she stated, a small insult, one she wished didn't leave her mouth. After all, Brigid just preached to Inti to lay off the insults, and lastly, it insulting towards Jewel as well as Eshu.
Honestly, Jewel made a decision, Brigid had given her two cents in, but Jewel consciously made this decision without truly being threatened. Although she had been determined to prevent a prospect like Jewel wasted on dark gods, Brigid was not as upset as she had earlier been over the incident with Wysteria and Yama. Wysteria had been forced; Jewel had been offered a choice. And to Brigid, one willingly accepting the aid of a dark god was all ready lost to her interests.
But, since Inti had given her the most pleading of faces, Brigid somehow felt obligated to bring the peg out of the situation she had thrust herself in, hence her mild insult. "A negotiation, Eshu. What would you rather have aside that mare as a mage?"
Brigid herself didn't have many mages...and she would not trade them off just for Inti's sake. Especially not Dragonrose. And certainly not Kenshin. Though his affectionate ways could be bothersome, she wouldn't let one so passionate to go hang out to dry. However, that was not to say she couldn't offer part of the trained individuals/warriors Kenshin and Dark promised her.
"I'll offer you ten stallions trained in the arts of combat for the mare.," she stated, a no kidding face and voice.
Peri felt as if he could have been sick. Softly, he whispered to Jewel, "You are pledging yourself to someone who may use you as a bargaining pawn! Didn't you say you wanted to avoid being used as such?"

"No!
"Jewel. Don't. Do. This.," he said, forcing the words out as seriously as he could, "At least not with Eshu. I might have to fight you if you stay with him."
"What??" Jewel's purple eyes grew wide. Hadn't they just tried to convince her to join with Eshu? "What do you mean, you might have to fight me?" The golden pegasus looked at Peri with a twinge of fear in her eyes. I mean, I COULD take you, but still... "...Peri?"
Jewel tossed her brown and purple mane away from her face, and looked up at Eshu, who was suddenly even more intimidating than before. She did her best to be brave, "I dbn't suppose I could take back my--"
--"I'll offer you ten stallions trained in the arts of combat for the mare.,"
Eyes then turned to Brigid, who to Jewel's surprise, was attempting to get her out of this. Holding her tongue on the fact that she had once been trained in arts beyond warfare and her question as to the beige goddess's motives, she stood back and looked again at Eshu.
((in case anyone wonders, at all, I'm working on a more detailed version of Jewel's history..))

Eshu thought quickly, Brigid was making a generous offer, true. But how far could he trust warriors recruited for him by an enemy? Not at all, his mind answered, they would turn on you at her command. Besides, now was the time to earn Jewel's trust. His answer was decided. "I would not use a mage who volunteered herself to and trusted in me like a bargaining chip, Brigid, although I can see you obviously would." he pretended to be disgusted and turned to Jewel. "I would prefer if you did not withdraw your services, it might leave you without the protection of being my mage, and at the mercy of such as these." he waved a hoof at the other two gods. "If there is to be fighting it is a little ways off and if you wish, I will not force you to fight a friend." Eshu had never been as smooth a liar as some, but he had pretty well managed the technique.

[OOC: My wrist is doing better. So back I am. ] It was almost as if the unicorn had been in a trance of some kind. Glazed over eyes, suddenly went wide and wild. It was as if the stallion had been possessed by a demon at that very moment. Mind whirling, he turned sharply and left the room without so much as a word to anyone. Hooves tapping loudly on the marble floor, the stallion snorted. [OOC: Ready for Silence.]

Inti could clearly see the emotions between the white and blue stallion and the golden pegasus were raised by the minute, and they would only esculate as things went on in the near future. True, he didn't want to see Jewel controlled by an evil, but he also didn't want his friend's heart to be crushed. It would hit him like a ton of bricks come the time they'll be thrown into battle against one another. What makes matters worse, is this would make Inti look like the bad guy here. He remained mute but not completely silent. He'd huff hot air from his nostrils now and then towards the dark god with clenched teeth and narrowed eyes. His heart was filled with sympathy, guilt, inferiority, and most of all fury. However his mind told him to hold back. "I would not use a mage who volunteered herself to and trusted in me like a bargaining chip, Brigid, although I can see you obviously would. I would prefer if you did not withdraw your services, it might leave you without the protection of being my mage, and at the mercy of such as these. If there is to be fighting it is a little ways off and if you wish, I will not force you to fight a friend."Oh please... Inti thought to himself with a snort. Give me a break...He lies as much as a raving politician. If only she could see that...******** (ooc: Uh...Jol is leaving Peri's room, right? And he was there for all that godish convrsation?) Silience followed Jol into the castle. He kept a distance far enough so his Jol couldn't see him, but close enough so he could keep an eye on his dad. He listened to the whole conversation from around a corner out in the hallway a few lenths away from the door. 'Oh dad, what is going on?' He thought slowly feeling very confused. 'There's a whole other part of your life that you never told me about? And what's all this about gods?'Not a few secconds after he thought the final word, 'god', did his mind get attacked by a blurry image of something. He dropped to the marble floor and held his face in his front hooves, for the image hurt a little bit. It was hard to make out but it looked like a pure white pegasus on a cloud in the sky. She was nuzzling something, but before Silence could figure out what it was he jumped back into the reality of the castle. He breathing rather heavily for the sudden image in his mind frightened him, but soon he calmed down. He stood up and shook himself to get any stray dust specs of his pure white coat. He heard footsteps and peeked around the corner. Jol was leaving. The little foal thought quickly and hid behind a potted plant. (ooc: Yes the gathering of gods and whatnot is going to bring in more and more memories of Silence's own past with the gods. He's actually half-god, just to let you know. )

One too many images were swirling in that head of his. One he wished would just leave him alone. Over and over though he could see his mother rocking in a chair, a sweet smile on her face, telling him to behave like a good little colt. Why did that bloody image always have to pop up when he was doing something she wouldn't approve of? Why?
Like before though, Jol ignored it. It was better to. She wouldn't understand anyway. He had to do this. There was no turning back now. Come hell or high water he was in this up to his neck.
Turning around the corner he almost ran smack into a large potted plant. He felt like blowing something up, but unfortunately that was not a power he yet possessed. And mind games were of little use on plants.

The potted plant shook and finally fell to the side shattering. Silence's coat was now soiled with brown blotches from the dirt.
He seemed disoriented as he sat upright and shook his head. He immidiately stood once he realized Jol was standing there in front of him.
Now feeling extremely scared what Jol would do to him now that he knew he had been followed. The dirty foal stood tensely, his white eyes stared into Jol's with fear. He backed away slowly, step by step, with his eyes still locked on the stallion's.

[OOC: Did the plant just blow up on its own? Or did Silence do that?]
Jol's twinkling orange eyes blinked as the plant erupted. How the blazes had that happened? Eyes widened as he saw Silence, covered in dirt, the plant and even some shards of the pot.
"Are you all right?" Jol asked concerned, "How long have you been there?"
"Did he follow me?" Jol wondered silently. Afraid of the answer. "What if he did? Oh rainbow! Why didn't I take him back to Butterscotch first?"
The jig was up. But what to do? Play innocent? No, that wasn't likely to work. There was no telling how much Silence had seen or heard.
