(ooc: Yeah, don't I feel creative this morning?)
Time: Morning-ish? ERm, yeah, I think.
The red mare groaned, squinting her eyes as hard as she could in all desperation to maintain her semi-deep sleep. The sun's beams were striking her face quite persistantly that morning, and Rose just wanted to stay in a little longer. The unicorn rolled over to her side away from the window and snuggled into her pillow. All she needed was a good jump on for motivation to get started on her day.

Tsuwari, on the other hand, was already up and ready to go.
"Mama!" Tsuwari reared and pushed his mother's bedroom door open, then pranced over to her bed. "Mama, it's time to get up!" Not getting much of a response, he put his front feet on her leg and shook her gently, "Mama, I'm hungry.."

Rose groaned and reluctantly willed one eye open just a smidgen. An orange blur was all she could see. Rose admitted to have been a morning bird herself....but that has changed with her acceptance of motherhood. "Just five more minutes, honey," she said, disoriented and groogy, "Wait....what time is it?" She tried to open her other eye and adjust to the sun's blinding glare. H*ll...it's going to be a hot one today.

"I can't tell time..." Tsuwari complained, sitting on the floor. He waited a few seconds.
"Mama... I'm hungry!"

"Huh, wha?," she mumbled incoherently, half back asleep. Rose looked down at Tsuwari's pouting, impatient face. And knowing that face, and how she acted at that age, Rose knew that she had better start moving now before it got ugly.
"All right, all right. I'm up, I'm up!," she reassured him, pushing herself slowly to her feet. After a stretch and a sleepy shake, Rose began to stumble towards the kitchen. "What do you want for breakfast, Tsuwari?," said between yawns. Pop...need caffeine....Can't drink pop in morning...bad example... She sourly yawned again.

Tsuwari followed his mother into the kitchen, smirking as she nearly ran into things. He stood by the counter, looking up at her as she spoke.
The little unicorn's face lit up, "Popsicles!"

Rose supressed the erge to groan. I know today was going to be one of those days.....
"Now, Tsuwari, what have I told you about eating popsicles for breakfast?," she asked him with some sterness in her voice. Popsicles do sound pretty good....No, Rose! Stop making bad examples.

"Mamaaa!" The young unicorn whined, "It's hot today--I want popsicles!" He poked Rose's leg with his horn, sending a small shock. He looked up at her with his brows furrowed.

(D*mn! He's too cute!!!!)
The jolt managed one positive affect, Rose found herself fully awake now. And as cute as Tsuwari looked just then with his face, Rose forced herself to look angry.
"Don't you dare give me that tone, young man," Rose warned him, a no kidding tone to her voice, " And you are not allowed to just shock others like that, you know that. Do it again and you won't get any popsicles today."
"Now, tell me what you want for breakfast, or go without.," she said more kindly. He can have one later today for dessery after dinner.

Tsuwari tried as hard as he could to continue giving his mother a stern look, but eventually broke under her gaze. He sat down and pinned his ears back, looking away from her. After a minute, he mumbled, "...pancakes." and quickly added, "Please."

Rose's look softened into a happy smile. "Ah, come on now. Buck up," she tried to brighten his mood, "I can mix some apples, or blueberries in with it, I think we've got some cherries here too.," she said to him.
Rose looked into the fridge to see the plastic containers filled with blueberries, cheeries, some strawberries. They were from the Bloomin Blossoms, ones she helped to grow and were proud of.
She left the fridge open for him to choose, while she began preparing a batter mix.

Tsuwari, determined to keep as much of his pride as he could, simply stood up and climbed up into a chair by the table. Resting his chin on the table, he stared ahead at the vase of flowers being used as a centerpiece. He raised his eyebrows, noticing how his reflection was skewed in the curvature of the vase. Lifting his head slightly, he stuck out his tongue and made other funny faces, laughing at himself.

"Tsuwari, I need to know what kind of pancakes do you want? This batter is ready.," Rose called to him, seeing the frige was still open. She looked over his way while searching for a pan.

"Bluuuuuuueberries!" Tsuwari responded, ever the playful foal. Now bored with the vase, he leaned forward and nudged the pepper shaker with his nose. He pushed it until it almost fell over, then let it go back, then pushed it again...

"Blueberries it is!," Rose said cheerfully retreaving the last ingredient from the fridge. She bumped the door shut with her hip and dumped the contents into the bowl, stirred, then poured the batter in for the first really big pancake. Normally she admitted not to making them this size, but he really did want those popsicles, and hoping this would make it up for him.
Three super large pancakes done, Rose placed a plate infront of him along with the syrup and a fork. "Now Tsuwari," she said with the hint of sterness, "If you make a mess with that salt shaker, you'll have to clean it up."
