(Yay for the work computer! No internet on the other one. ) Delta rubbed her eyes slowly. "Silverfall...? Yeah... I'm awake." She sat up but was still in a flat mood. "The Black stallion took Wysteria." She said softly, as if she wouldn't let herself believe it. "What is going to become of her..." She took a deep breath. "We have to find her." She said as she refused lunch at the same time.

"So he did take her," Silverfall said, snorting. She looked at Set. "Well," she said. "What do you have to say about it?"
Set forced down his anger at being spoken to so directly.
"There is nothing you can do. She is his mage now. Whether or not by her own conscious choice, she follows him on some level. Perhaps somewhere deep in her heart is a place dark enough..."
He turned away, too distracted by other thoughts to care much about Wysteria. He was now debating how to handle Yama and at the same time maintain control of Tsuwari.

Rose's ears flattened at what was obviously being discussed. The red unicorn was still very much in the dark on whom and what went on in order for Set to bring two injured mares there.
Finishing the last of the sandwiches, Rose joined the group while handing each a filled plate (aside Delta whom had rejected the food).
Looking to Set and speaking with the same direct and blunt manor as Silverfall, "Enlighten me, Set. What happened and what is going to happen."
And in her thoughts, which she assumed Set would have picked up upon, And explained in a gentle manor before my foal.

Set looked from Rose to Tsuwari. He returned his gaze to the others.
"Last night, the dark god Yama took a turn on my mage, here." He pointed his horn at Silverfall. "I went to her aid. I'm not sure what his intentions were... he says he was provoked." He gave Silverfall a stern look. "Is that true?"
"He's trapped Wysteria in some spell," Silverfall said. "I was attempting to come to her aid."
"Yes, well, a lot of good it did," Set said. "You brought the whole shop down in flames. And he still owns the mare. There isn't much you can do about that now. Best leave it. Yama is a dark god; we'll need him in our corner a while longer yet." His eye wandered back to Tsuwari. "We'll also need to keep watch on him. He's a dark god and likely to betray us. We must never let him think he's gotten the upperhoof. He can see all things in our minds, so we must learn to shadow our thoughts from his sight. Not only will it annoy him, it will also keep us safe."
Set approached Tsuwari then.
"And that, my boy, is your first lesson." Set snapped his head around to Silverfall. "Teach him. Today. He's got to master the skill by sundown. It should be easy for him." He looked back down at the boy. "He's very powerful."
Set walked toward the door.
"Rose, if you'll join me in the garden."
----
Set stood waiting in the front yard.

(Yama: OH! So THAT'S how it's going to be, is it Set?! Well, for that I'm going to be difficult in agreeing to help you! ;D )
Delta rested her head in her hooves and listened. (actually I don't believe Ponies can bend that way, but eh)

(Well of COURSE! says Set. You didn't think I was going to let my guard down just to be thwarted by some other god, did you? As long as Yama plays nice, Set will play nice. ;D But, I think Tsuwari is developing a distrust of Yama and I don't think we can have them at mental odds all the time... Anyway, Set's got something up his sleeve... er... yeah... that will probably be too good for Yama to pass up... )

Rose's eyes darted from Tsuwari back to Set. She was quite reluctant to leave him in the care of another she had just met. And one whom was all ready a mage of Set's, Rose wasn't quite sure whether or not she wanted to trust Tsuwari to Silverfall. Stop this, you're tormenting yourself over this. Glayse wanted Set to teach him, and Set wanted both of us as mages, he couldn't possible place Tsuwari with Silverfall if he didn't trust her. She is his mage, after all.
Forcing herself to obey, she gave Tsuwari a small smile. "Tsuwari, I want you on your best behavior for Silverfall.," she instructed him, before turning to follow Set out into the yard.
She looked at him expectantly.

(Just because he's the God of Death and Darkness doesn't mean he doesn't get his feelings hurt. XD Yama: I just wanted to be friends! *bawls* *pats* Now look what you've done! Tehe. ) Delta looked at the young foal as Set and Rose left. "Um... Hello." She said to him. She wasn't too good with foals.

(Awe, really? *gives Yama noogie-snuggles* You poor, thing. Were you neglected as a child? How about I gives you a big snooglie kiss? Anyway, don't fret. Set might not trust Yama yet, but that can change. It's up to Yama.)
Set could feel Rose's anxiety as she came toward him.
"The silver mare is quite adept, I assure you." He hated admitting this about Silverfall's skill. While he had no doubt he could break her if he chose, it would require some effort. All the more reason to maintain his edge on her. "She can teach Tsuwari to control his mental energies, which is key to controlling his power. His anger...it can be staggering." Set dwelt on this for a moment. "What have you told him about his father?"
----
Silverfall looked down at Tsuwari with about as much enthusiam as Delta.

Rose chewed on the inside of her cheek, taken aback at Set's question. What prey tell did she tell Tsuwari? Well, he at least knew he should have had one, at least Rose speculated he might.
"Nothing," she murmured out, somewhat embarrassed. It was not at all an easy subject to bring up and explain to Tsuwari. Rose was still trying to determine how to handle the delicate situation.

Once finished his lunch, Tsuwari slid out of his chair and trotted back into the room where all the adults were situated. He came in just as Set was speaking:
"And that, my boy, is your first lesson." Set snapped his head around to Silverfall. "Teach him. Today. He's got to master the skill by sundown. It should be easy for him." He looked back down at the boy. "He's very powerful."
Tsuwari's little orange-red ears perked up at the idea of being taught something new. He listened intently to Set, shifting his weight in anticipation. When Set mentioned his power, Tsuwari couldn't help but smile and puff his chest a little bit. Why, he would grow to be one of the most powerful stallions in the world! Or so he believed.
Turning to glance at Silverfall, he wasn't terribly impressed. She didn't glow like Set did, and wasn't as powerful. She was also a mare. The only mare Tsuwari thought he'd ever give his love and respect to was his mother.
"Tsuwari, I want you on your best behavior for Silverfall.,"
"Yes, Mama.." Tsuwari replied automatically, without much emotion in his voice. Sunset-orange eyes then turned to the gray mare as if to say, "Okay, teach me."

(Yama: Yeah, I was neglected. All I did was torture and kill a few innocent ponies, and suddenly I was given a wide berth. Is that so wrong? ^.^ lol. Ignore him. Set was right to mistrust him. Maybe Yama will betray Set and Set can get revenge on Yama... buahaha.) Delta turned to Silverfall to see what she was going to teach Tsuwari. (Well! I don't know what else to write! O.o;; )

Set could see Rose's discomfort and, though it didn't bother him, chose to change the subject to something more important. He led her over to the items he had gathered in the night. Some black soot and an old pile of grass, feathers, and leaves...
"Rose, I've another task for you," Set said. "Now, it may seem a little strange, but it will all make sense in time. Tonight I have a secret meeting with Yama. I'm going to try and discover what secrets he may be hiding from us. I want you to be there, too, hiding in the shadows. We must do everything in our power to keep Tsuwari safe. Use this black soot to cover your red fur so that you are black as night. See this pile of debris? It's a disquise. You strap it to your back and if you need to hide you just hunker down under it. See, here, it unfolds and you can wrap it around you."
(While you're running around, it will...uh... probably drape out behind you... looking kind of like a pair of cruddy wings) .............
Silverfall had seen the delight in Tsuwari's eyes when Set mentioned his power and the puffing of his chest.
"So, you want to be a sorcerer," she said. "Show me, just what makes you powerful? Is there anything you can do?"

Rose followed Set and looked speculatively at the items he had available. At first she wondered when in the night he'd gathered them in comparison to when he went to Silverfall's aid. With mentioning of Yama, and her being around when they met, well, it made Rose uneasy. Seeing the damage on Silverfall, it was no surprise.
She said nothing of it though, objecting and making a terrible fuss was worthless at this point. Rose took the weird contraption and put it on, just to make sure she understood. Considering the time of night it was thrown together it wasn't half bad. An eyesore in daylight, but good for what it was needed for.
"All right," she calmly agreed, now curious as to why she was needed with him. Sure, to protect Tsuwari, but really, what? "Exactly what am I doing in this disguise? Eavesdropping?"
