Early Evening Dark - Next Night, After the Fire at Razz's
Set trotted through the trees, effortlessly traversing the forest terrain with champion stamina. He came at last to a small copse of woody brush near the rise of the hill where he intended to meet Yama and slowed to a stop. He was not yet at the meeting place, but allowed his aura to drift outward to see if Yama was there waiting for him. If so, he would have to wait just a bit longer, as he turned to give his instructions to Rose.
(Edit: Yama, whenever he is ready, may just start prowling around the top of the rise and Set will join him when he's ready. I'll be gone most of tomorrow, but I should be back by Sun.)

Rose appeared beside Set shortly after his arrival. Her once bright, red coat was now barely recognizable with the disguise Set had given her. All ready her heart was filtering with excitement, but her body didn't betray that for she stood fairly still and silent.

"Rose," Set began. "See this thicket? Buckle down and you should be able to observe us from here. I will go on and meet with Yama, but be ready to run if you are discovered. Run like the wind's daughter and do not look back. Run into the deep woods and hide until I come looking for you. Even if someone else comes, answer no one but me. Can you do that?"

"Most certainly," Rose said with a hint of mischief on her voice, "It's just like hide-and-go-seek." She flashed a toothy grin before slowly stalking over to the thicket in question and lowering herself to the ground. As quietly she could manage, she positioned the given outfit in a way that she hoped best blended in with her surroundings. All she had to do now was wait, watch, and hope all hell would not break loose.

Set nodded. Then he turned to the rise and began to walk slowly into the open, where he hoped to run into Yama.
Anytime now...
He looked left, then right, and left again.
Yama?
He sent his thoughts outward, seeking.

(*hugs* feel better, hun.)
Set swished his tail, becoming somewhat irritated having been stood up by Yama and made the fool in front of his servant. How to recover himself graciously? He pondered a moment and began to formulate a plan. Small, whispering clouds began to drift through the starlit skies. The wind picked up, blowing through his mane as he began his spell.
Rose he called inwardly to her. Something is wrong. Stay alert.

(Sil twiddles hooves, thinking up ways to recover. Set grumbles and finally says, "Ok, I'll do the dirty work.")
From the windy darkness, Yama came.
Except it wasn't Yama.
Set smiled inwardly. No one would know that, but him.
The creature was made of air and darkness. It came down from the sky, blustering, and emanating its evil.
Set approached it, calling out a greeting, but the beast reared up and shook its hooves and rolled out insults in an incomprehensible tone. Set stood firm, shouting back.
The beast charged forward, knocking Set aside. He went down, feigning injury, and shouted down to Rose, but the wind pulled his words away so that she could not hear what he said.

(ulg, sorry guys >< Have been the busy artist as of late)
Rose had heard Set's earlier warning. Given reason for small alarm, Rose merely hugged the earth below her harder, trying best to appear minuscule. If need be, she'd have to run, she was certain, and the best advantage was for her to keep up the facade. What is it Set? What's-
It would be at the time that Set's fake Yama appeared. The red unicorn's ears swerved upward, as if she knew to alert herself, strain her best to eavesdrop. However, all that she could hear was what she never expected. Rose was under the impression this was a negotiation, not some minor verbal fight. Irritating as it was, she didn't turn away from the sight, only to see the lunge that Yama had given.
Appearing the worst was to happen, Rose's muscles tensed, her mouth slightly ajar as she watched the onslaught, preparing to leap from her spot and hopefully to run to safety.
(erm, was confused, was Yama heading towards Rosey?)

(Hee. Yeah. Run with that, Jewel. We'll just play it out and see where it goes...)
The Yama-beast snapped its head around, as if honing in on Rose's thoughts. It snorted and a rush of wind blew down the hill, rustling the brush where she lay hidden.
"RUN ROSE!" Set had launched himself on the dark beast, wrestling it to the ground. "RUN NOW!"
(Sure, it can chase Rosey. That would be fun.)

(Phantom Demon conjurred up by Set to "save face" in Yama's true absence. A "shadow" to distract Rose from reality. A trick. A spell. A naughty little Set being his usual self.)

(ooc: Sorry about keeping you guys waiting. I have been making serious progress with the painting I'm hauling butt over. *curse you traditional mediums* I know you understand -_-)
Rose's jaw ran a gasp as the shadowy Yama turned in her direction. Every fiber in her being seemed to tensed up more than she could have even fathomed possible. The unicorn felt such a strong, sudden grip of fear rise up inside of her, one in which she recalled having felt when Piston had taken control over her body. To say the least, Rose was petrified.
For mere seconds, seconds that seemed far stretched and too long to be considered such, did Rose Rebellion remain frozen staring at the impending doom. Finally, Set's words and actions snapped her from her paused state. The red unicorn sprung from her hiding spot and was running faster than she thought she'd instructed her body to.
Hundreds of different thought and emotions rushed through her brain, screaming words of instruction or of just purely fear. Things such as which way to run to avoid bringing him near her home, whether or not to drop the suit made be Set entirely to gain that little ounce of speed. Glancing back had given her answer, and Rose flung the disguise off with one fluid motion of her horn.

(No worries here. ) Silverfall appeared through the trees at that moment, drawn to the spot by the pull of its sorcery. Seeing Set and the phantom on the top of the hill, she startled when her gaze was drawn by Rose's movement in the brush. In the dark, she thought she saw a unicorn flapping its wings. Who was it? She felt her heart quicken. Silverfall rushed forward to help, but her hooves slid beneath her on the wet grass and she tumbled. She didn't see Rose discard her disquise, never knew it was her she saw. All she heard was the rush of the wind and the low moaning of the spectral phantom as it sped toward the red unicorn. She struggled to regain her footing, but kept getting tangled up in her own legs. Her heart raced with anxious fear. She tried to call out, but she found she had no voice. Set was standing on the hill, his magic holding Silverfall down as it pushed the spectral phantom after Rose. His heart delighted in the taste of their fear and anxiety. Both had a sweetness. Rose was earthy, but sharp like cinnamon. Silverfall was full, dark, almost licorice. All the more he savored it and craved more. Yes, he would have more. The phantom Yama bore down on Rose. It sucked the wind over its ghostly vocals, crying, "Youuuuuu....wiiiillllll....diiiiiiieeeee." The chase was on. (Mwhaaaa...)
