An angry voice rang out in the still night air. "Just WHAT is going on here?!" Yama exclaimed, shaking from head to hoof in anger. It seemed he had gotten here just in time, as he heard a voice that had a trace of his in there somewhere, cry out a death threat. The God of Death stormed over to the Unicorn.
"You fool! What are you doing? How dare you use my body for your stupid pranks!" He growled.
(Continue the chase. I don't want to break up the fun. ;D )

(oooh! the drama! If the timing is right, Sil, I think I really like your original idea.. depends on how soon the stuff at the Castle goes down. If Jewel is taken away by Eshu... Tsu might run off himself )

(We'll let Rose run/hide in the woods with the phantom chasing her for a while, which will allow her to respond at her leisure while she works on her RL stuff. That should give Jewel time to get Tsu into the woods again. Once all the charries are ready, we can bring the chase to its conclusion. In the meantime, Set and Yama can torment Silverfall and bring Glayse back...) Concerns for Yama's lateness had long melted. Power poured from the cup. Set drank readily and greedily. His eyes sparkled. Static in his mane made it stand up. He was high on the sensational drink. "Let it not concern you," Set said, smiling. "I offer you appeasement. Have a taste. Decide if you want more." In a moment of brotherhood, Set passed this cup to Yama, sharing with him its essense. Set drew power out of both mares, though mostly Silverfall for she was the stronger of the two. Rose was just a garnish. He fed Yama both strength and desire, giving him a taste of the power he could capture. (And welcome back, Delta. )

(ooc: lol, glad to know I taste like cinnamon! Delta, about Yama and Wysteria? Shall I just say Wysteria's still sleeping?)
By the time the true Yama and Silverfall had entered the scene nearby, Rose was too far into the illusion to take note. It was just she and he, "predator" and "prey". And Rose would continue to run until she felt her legs would not be able to carry her any further. In that case, which Rose was dreading to be slowly creeping upon her, she would try to stand her ground with her magic. If she couldn't run to safety, might as well go down fighting.

(( Hehe, exactly! He IS a stripe of the rainbow of darkness after all.. the only part of him that isn't purely evil is his love for one thing---himself : )

(Metaphorical. Sorry, I wasn't very clear on that, was I? It's also like there is a part of the gods that exists on another plane from the physical world. I think from the way I see magic existing, it pulses through veins that feed the physical world, but that it exist both inside and outside of it. Or something like that... random babble..)

(One of the stripes?! How did he break out of that popsicle...? Or did the power of the stripes that turned into ponies leave their bodies?)

(He hasn't broken out of the posicle yet. The stripes were "grounded" to the flesh of the indigo mare, thus "locking" them inside, however Glayse's essense is strongly connected to Rose through Tsuwari. Of the stripes, he's in a rather unique position. His essense is trapped in the Darklands, where the popsicle is being guarded, but his third eye is wafting about Rose's home, keeping an eye on Tsu, and wandering in and out of their dreams. That is, he is performing some kind of astral projection of his essense, but not his complete essense, which means his powers are pretty limited. He's trying to get free so he can take over a new body and go about being nasty...)

Yama's anger faded away slowly as he grinned at Set. "Set, old friend," He exclaimed. "Today, we are partners." (sorry for the short post. )

Set's rich laughter filled the night air. He directed his gaze down the hill and relinquished Silverfall. The silver mare struggled to her feet, still winded from the pressure of his hold. She shivered, repulsed, and angry, and drained of magic. She stood, swayying, staring, and uttered an oath beneath her breath.
"Now, now, my love," Set said as he walked toward her. "You will behave yourself, won't you?" When she didn't respond, he continued. "Behave and maybe I will call off the phantom."
Again the mare didn't respond. She stood perfectly still with a look of hatred running deep in her eyes.
"I am in need of a body," Set said to her. He knew that his hold on Silverfall would fade, therefore it was best to get what he needed very quickly before she succumbed to her senses.
He continued, indicating for Yama to pay attention. "For your part, Yama, I was hoping you would work your wonders and go fetch us a body or two. Fresh is best, but be sure the soul has fled. I was going to use this mare's daughter, you see, but I think I have more entertaining uses for her yet. That is, if momma still wishes to bargain for her life."
"What do you want?" Silverfall asked. There was desperation in her voice and it made Set smile.
"I want you to release the ethereal essense of Glayse."
(I've put the GFI ponies in the Ponyville square right now, so Yama can go play with them.)

"Yes, my pretty silver mare," Glasye's spirit purred with a smile in its voice as it circled Silverfall's neck. "Bring me a body.. I can have more fun that way."

The disturbing touch of Glayse's aura threatened Silverfall's instinct to buck, but she forced her body rigid against him. All she did was snort through two wide nostrils, as if to blow him away with the puff of her breath.
Inwardly, Silverfall still struggled with Set's request. Dahr! She'd be a fool to release the Rainbow of Darkness, yet the life of her daughter was also at stake. Never had she known her daughter, except for the scraps of memory she had retreived from Aellesar. It was evernight on the Darkling plains. She could see the filly, still damp from birth, with coal-black fur and silver wings... winged like her father...whomever he was. That was a memory she had not yet claimed. She thought there were at least two possibities and both caused her pain.
Could she sacrifice all of Ponyville for this one desire?
Hadn't she already strayed from the path where once she walked, already damaged by shadows? Would it be so hard? Rescue her daughter and then run as far as the storming winds would take them? Glayse's brothers and sisters would still be trapped. He was practically harmless, with nothing but a dark heart and some charm.
"I will retrieve his spirit," she said, rushed and meek, and the moment she did so, it occured to her. In order to do this, she would have to return to Castle Ebon-Roc. The thought knotted her stomach and made her flush with anxiety.

Tsuwari could barely be seen galloping over the hills, a reddish speck moving in the night. It wasn't long before he spotted the figure of his mother, running from the beast in his dream. The foal's pupils narrowed and a hate boiled in his heart. He charged on passionately, toward his mother and her pursuer. It wasn't long before he met her, but instead of turning and running with her, he stopped to face the beast. Tsuwari reared and shot sparks from his little horn, neighing as loud as he could.
