(JUMP! time: morning, around 9 o'clock)
Silence trudged down the stairs from his room he shared with a few of the other foals.
Butterscotch had left him at the nursery while she was on an extended mission somewhere away from Ponyville with her detective work. With her gone and Jol dead, the little foal had no one left to love, and it seemed like there was no one to love him back. After the battle in town, the foal didn’t care much for doing anything. His body, his heart, possessed a new feeling; heavy and cold. He hadn’t flown in what seemed like ages.
THUMP! He had missed the last step and landed with his chest and face on the floor, the rest of his body slumped against the side of last step. For some reason, he always forgot that step, and it aggravated him. Anger and annoyance were new feelings to the colt since the death of his adoptive father. He wasn’t all smiles and giggles anymore.
He picked himself up and walked into the kitchen and sat down on one of the table chairs. Sitting at the table always made the pegasus fell short, since his chest just met the surface of the tabletop. He looked around and thought about eating, but chose not to. He hadn’t done much eating lately, and it showed in how thin he looked. Almost to the point where the white colt looked sickly.
He sighed and started to busy himself with tweening his feathers.

Gumdrop bounded into the kitchen.
"Helloooo Silence!" She sang as her green eyes found the sickly white pegasus that was sitting at the table.
A purple cat followed Gumdrop into the kitchen. It was no longer a kitten, it had now grown into a thin, deep purple adult cat.
It mewed hungrily at Gumdrop, who was reaching into a cupboard to get hold of Purple's cat food.
Just as she had pulled out the cat biscuits, she found a current of them spilling from the corner of the box. It seemed the box had a hole.
"Oh rainbows." Gumdrop said, repeating the words she had heard Kail utter many times before, as she attempted to return the massive pile of biscuits back into the box.

Razz entered the nursery, hanging up his scooter helmet on the wall by the door where all the kids had been piling their outer gear. He went into the kitchen.
"Good morning," he said. He eyed the cat food on the floor.

"Helloooo Silence!"
The foal stoped picking at his feathers and looked over at Gumdrop. He nodded to her in reply. He had learned she was a very talkitive filly, and sometimes it was difficult considering he was mute.
"Good morning,"
Silence turned his head, eyes following the purple stallion as he entered the room, but he did not nod or attempt to smile. He had not yet fully regained the comfortability with adults he once had.

"Hi Razz!" Gumdrop said cheerily. "Where's Kail?" She asked, unaware that the sea-green peg had left Ponyville.

Razz smiled. He was glad the foals had taken so readily to him and Kail being special friends.
"She's off on an adventure," he said. "And she'll be gone for a little while."

Gumdrop gave up on trying to put the cat biscuits back in the box (They just fell out of the hole again anyway.) and instead she started to move them into the bin.
"An adventure?!" She repeated, grinning. "Wow."

"Would you like to go on an adventure today?" Razz asked, helping her to clean up. He picked up a rag, wet it in the sink, and picked up the biscuit crumbles. There were all kinds of things he had to do in his shop to get it fixed up again, but he was really in the mood for a little fun.

The creepest thing today was Ratchet was still out back, working on whatever it was he was building. It was starting to look like a very nice jungle set, with plenty of nets, ball pits and so on. And as normal, he was all kinds of colors from oil to dirt.
Dark walked into the kitchen, grining ear to ear inside. He and Karma had a chance to truely catch up on things last night, and not just verbaly, if one caught his drift. "How's it hanging, guys?" He smirked at the kids as he finnaly set his scarf just right.
He was letting Karma sleep in, but raised an eyebrow when he saw Ratchet still at work. "Doesn't that guy EVER sleep? He's ether a work aholic or a robot." Seting a rune covered strip of paper on the counter, a wok and other oriental ingredents and tools appered in a poof of smoke.
"Best get breakfast ready for Karma. You want any, Razz? How's about you tikes?" Dark's mood darkened a little apon seeing Silence. Kid certainly didn't seem at all like the others... Maybe he'd sit down with him later.

"Oh! We can go on an adventure of our own?!" Gumdrop said, her mind drifting for a minute. "What kind of adventure?"

"I'm not sure yet," Razz said to Gumdrop and then turned to Dark's wok. "Perhaps some kind of breakfast adventure. Whatcha gonna make?" he asked. He smacked his lips and thought of fried cabbage.

Charm picked her way down the stairs, being careful not to miss the last one. After seeing Silence miss it a few times she’d learned to pay extra attention to it. Where was the colt anyway? The young pegasus filly couldn’t help herself she liked being around him. Even if he wasn’t in a happy mood at all these days. Who cared if one could talk, sometimes the best things went unsaid.
Smiling brightly the green filly entered the kitchen. Head bobbing she greeting the adults and Gumdrop. Pulling out a chair, Charm sat down next to Silence. Not saying a word or offering a greeting of any kind she just sat and stared straight in front of her. Not once bothering to turn and acknowledge the pegasus sitting next to her. She was changing her tactics today. If she wanted him to be her friend maybe the way to go about it was to ignore him. Maybe. Than again, maybe not. What if he just got more upset? What if he wouldn’t even let her sit next to him anymore? Stealing a sideways glance at the white colt she wondered what he was thinking.

(continued from PWS's new filly thread)
Sherbet ran into the kitchen and stopped running so she would go sliding across the room. The technique worked and she went sliding across the linolium floor and into the cupboards on the other side. "That was fun," she smiled in her usual way and then pulled on Razz's arm. "There's a new filly. Her name is Meera. She wants to stay here with us and become part of our family! Will you let her? Puhleeeeeeeeeease?" A bright, toothy grin was dirrected up at the purple stallion.
(Uh, I thought this thread was just after the packing thread? Or is it the next morning?)

(ooc: Hope it's ok if I start inserting my characters back in.)
Strawberry Swirl got up, stretched, and frowned. Things had just seemed off kilter to her lately. She brushed her hair, and stuck pins in her mane in a haphazard early morning attempt to make a bun. Too early, need tea. And sunshine.
She clopped downstairs, looking quickly in Kail's room. She'd said goodbye to her a few days ago, knowing that they were both busy. She was still a bit sad that she didn't get to see her off. It was so strange to be in the Nursery without her.
She started humming cheerily, the simple act of being in motion making her feel more chipper. She trotted into the kitchen, giving everyone a quick hello and a cheek nuzzle. Except for Dark, who she didn't really know and didn't really "get". Swirl never ever "poofed", and he poofed all the time. Sure The Sisters would sometimes teleport ponies with a whump, or phoosh, but never a poof. All that poofing. Swirl just didn't get it.
She stood next to Razz. Ever since he and Kail started being together she'd liked Razz better, almost a Sortof-Kail-by-association thing.
"Is someone building something? Or, um...?" Her pink sparkly bun wobbled on her neck as she looked around for a clean tea mug.

Mesmira stepped hesitantly into the room, slightly less than pleased at the introduction Sherbet had given her. It made her feel...needy. "Uh...hi. Yeah - um, I'm Meera." Brilliant, she thought angrily, A great first impression! Still, she was cheered up a little by the fact that Sherbet had introduced her as Meera, so the adults did not yet know her full name. And let's keep it that way for a bit.
