Gibberish hadn't seen the dark corn stallion ever since he had left. That was good. She didn't like any outsiders roaming about near his cottage. She was quite satisfied with living there all alone.
Well, there was Rogue and Tramp nowadays, but she had got used to them already and besides, Tramp seemed to be out and about mostly in any case. Rogue had been sticking around Gib, however. That caused Gib some mixed feelings. She had always thought of Rogue as a big brother, and she liked having him around. She was very secluded personality, however, and his hanging about made her nervous.
She was just tending to her garden, picking out bad leaves from the rose bushes and such, when Rogue came out of the house with a tray. There was a jar of juice and two glasses on the tray, and Rogue sported a wide grin as he came to Gib.
"I thought you might like some refreshment," he said as he stopped close by. "You've been working all morning."
Gib brushed a few locks off her face. A quick smile tugged on the sides of her mouth, and then was gone. She put away her gardening tools and stepped over to him.
"Thanks," she said a bit uncertainly. Why was Rogue being so nice on her? It wasn't like him.

[[cont. from the Walking to the nursery -thread from Ponyville]]
Tramp led the little group merrily along the sandy road towards Gibberish's cottage. They could almost see it now, peaking from through the forest, but the curve in the road prevented them from having a full view of the house.
Tramp trotted on with a whistle on his lips. He was suddenly on a good mood. But then, being out of the town probably made him so. He wasn't used to streets and houses and so little space.

Wing Song smiled as Tramp started whistling, glad he seemed in a good mood. She checked to make sure Mookie wasn't falling off her back and slowed her pace a bit in the process. Then she sped back up, still looking back, and bumped right into Tramp. "Oh - sorry! I...wasn't looking..."

Tramp lost his foothold for a minute there when Wing Song bumped into him, and he nearly tripped on his nose. Being a warrior, he managed to get his balance back rather quickly, however. He smiled to Wing Song, trying desperately to appear as though he was all fine and hadn't in fact tripped at all.
"Quite all right," he said. "Is the foal all right?"
He peered at the snoring foal but as he saw the little one hadn't even woken up, he smiled and looked at Wing Song again.
"Well, we're nearly there," he said. "It's just around that corner."

Wing Song forced a smile after he stumbled a bit. "Yeah, I think Mookie's fine...", she said, blushing.
"Well, we're nearly there. It's just around that corner."
"Good. I can't wait to meet your brother - you two seem really close."

Trailing a little behind the group, Medley trotted faster to keep up. She was not used to walking such distances. She normally flew everywhere, a habit which made her legs not quite as strong as her wings.
She smiled slightly when she heard the cottage was just around the corner.

Gib froze completely still when she suddenly heard footsteps and some voices in the distance. She felt her heart start to thud more unevenly, as did the little sphere hidden within her locks. Ponies! Why were they here? What was this?
And soon enough, Tramp and his little company came into view from behind the corner. Gib's face turned red with anger. What was that oaf doing?!

Rogue swirled around at the sound of the approaching company, and his ears pricked up. When he saw Tramp, he relaxed though was annoyed. What was the silly stallion doing now? Why was he bringing all this people here? He should have known that Gib hated company. And Rogue did not want her disturbed right now.
He galloped over to Tramp when they reached the yard, his expression quite stern and his neck held high.
Tramp looked at his brother approach with a sigh in his throat. How much more like a warrior Rogue was than he could ever be. To Tramp, it was inconceivable that anyone could ever think them twins, so much he saw himself inferior in ability and appearance to his brother.
In fact, when the two met, there was only the colour of their manes and the symbols on their rumps to distinguish them from one another.
"Rogue," Tramp called out when his brother was suitably close by, and before Rogue had the chance to say the angry words he obviously planned to. "I've brought a few friends over. Hope you don't mind."
Rogue slowed his canter into a trot and finally to a walk before he stopped completely in front of the little group. He took in Tramp's honest smile and only barely managed to keep from rolling his eyes.
"I see," he only said and turned to look at the mares.
He was planning to tell them to scuttle off because he had no time or patience for guests, but when his eye fell on Wing Song and Medley, he swallowed that idea instinctively and a smile spread on his face. My, well, at least his brother had for once brought home some fine fillies.
Tramp saw his brother's expression change and rolled his eyes. Rogue just couldn't help himself, could he? But he smiled as he turned to the mares.
"Everyone," he said, "meet my twin brother, Rogue."

Wing Song trotted forward and said, with a little curtsy, "Princess Wing Song of Sapphire Kingdom. Nice to meet you. Your brother has been telling me about your powers."

((Okay - you're my adopted noob, so I'll come out and say it. RG, you need to add stuff outside of quotes - right now it seems like ML just popped up out of nowhere. So say something like, "Moon Light hurried up the path until she'd caught up to the ponies, then stopped in front of the stallion." Not obviously those very words, but something explaining the situation - putting her in the scene, ya know?))

Rogue's eye fell upon Wing Song appreciatively as she introduced herself. A Princess? Well, well, his brother's catches had apparently gone up since the last time. He stepped forth with a charming smile and reached out to take the princess's hoof in his and draw it to his lips.
"Charmed," he said with a flourished bow as he kissed her hoof like a true gentleman. Then he looked up at Wing Song's eyes intently, not letting go of her hoof. "I do not believe I have had the pleasure of royal company before, my lady."

"Oh...well, my kingdom's actually quite far away, so much that I'd hardly consider myself royalty in my stay here..." Wing Song knew she was blushing. I really must stop using my formal title when introducing myself. She smiled at Rogue a moment before gently pulling her hoof back - he seemed nice, sure. But still a bit too forward. (( WS's too formal. ))

[[lol]]
Rogue was not fazed by her pulling away. Well, if chivalrous behaviour wouldn't work then something else might.
Tramp was watching his brother from aside with a little smile and a twinge of jealousy. Why was it that he was always in such ease around mares and Tramp was the one who got nervous?
Gib had lingered closer, and just when Rogue was about to begin serious flirting with Wing Song, Gib pushed him aside and stared at the Princess.
"Pleased to meet you, your highness," she said to her coldly and then turned to Tramp. "And just what do you think you're doing?"
Tramp looked very sheepish.
"I... er... thought to introduce my new friends to Rogue... and..."
"Indeed!" Gib snorted. "Then please do take your new friends and Rogue away from my cottage this instant!"
Tramp drew his ears back and glanced at Rogue. Rogue, however smiled to Gib in a reassuring way.
"Oh, come now, kitling," he said to her. "One must not be so rude. At least we can offer them some refreshments. The foal must be especially thirsty."
Gib stared at Rogue for a while, then looked at the others. Her initial plan was to just tell them to sod off, the foal and all, she didn't want any company at her cottage, but when her eye fell on the adorable creature on Wing Song's back, she felt her heart melt a little.
"Well, all right," she said, disheartened. "I will go make some juice."
And she turned and trotted away into the cottage. At the door she stopped and turned around.
"But you keep them in the garden," she said sternly before vanishing into the cottage.
