Wing Song, at her table with Medley, was now seated with a large plate of french fries in front of her. She offered them, smiling, to the little foal(who's name she did not know yet) that she had found outside of the Black Dragon Inn.

Medley took a french fry, hoping the gesture would help Baby Mookie feel more confortable. If he sees others eating, perhaps he'll eat too, she thought.

Wing Song took the hint from Medley and picked up a french fry to munch on, too. "Mmmmm!", she made a big sho wof saying. She looked down at Mookie. "These are great! Try one!" This said, she pushed the french fries closer to the small pony.

Mookie didn't need any hints...he buried his whole face in the fries. After polishing the plate he leaned back up and burped. "Surry" he whispered. "Dink now?"

"Uh...", Wing Song wasn't too experienced in interpreting baby-talk, but then realization flashed across her face. "Oh! Oh - yeah, I'll get you a drink! Uh...do you like root beer?", then she inwardly blushed at offering such a small child soda - it probably wasn't exactly best, so she continued, "...Or juice or something. Whatever you prefer." ((Um...I think you should know, so I'll go right out and say it - I would be willing to have Wing Song unofficially adopt Mookie. Of course, she would maintain the intention of finding his real family(or just keep telling herself that ), but it would be really fun if he could move in with her, so she could take care of him and do the whole mom thing. ))

[[cont. from the Gibberish on the market/town square]]
Tramp stepped into the Café, rather cheerful and with a smile on his face. He thought it had been a good day, all in all. After having a bite or two, he would go and find a nice flower shop - he recalled seeing one just down the street... or was it the next street? Ah, well, he thought, I'll find it.
He went to the counter and ordered a nice bowl of french fries and a large root beer. He was terribly, terribly thirsty and the fries would probably make him even more so. He looked around as he waited for his order to come in, thinking on which table to choose. Then his eye caught on a little party of three seated at a table. It seemed a bit odd combination, two mares with a baby, and the mares seemed a tad bit lost with the baby. The mares seemed rather nice, and his eye caught on the blond-haired mare especially. He came to think that she was rather cute.

Wing Song looked up to see a stallion looking at her. She turned back to the foal, waiting for his response, and reminded herself that he was the top priority - she had no time for stallions, unless one of them happened to know how to help her out with Mookie. But maybe he does know something about foals, she reasoned. Besides - it would be rude to just ignore him. The princess turned to smile back at the stallion, and could not help but realize that he was rather handsome.

"Boot Beer....Boot Beer!" Mookie smiled as he thought about the sugary drink...yum. The Nice Lady was very sweet....but where was Mommy? He was thinking about "winking" again, when the drink arrived... He began to slurp down the soda with gusto and thoughts of once again going to a new place was less appealing. He never noticed the new stallion that entered the room....nor the Nice Lady's reaction. *SLURP*

Wing Song smiled down at Mookie's enthusiasm. If he's too hyper later, I blame myself. "So...what's your last name, little guy? I'd like to try and find your parents." She didn't want to press it and set him off crying again, but she didn't want to keep calling him "little guy", either(she had to do so as she suspected Mookie was only a nickname). And "little one" was out of the question - she felt that when you talked to a foal like that, you were talking down to him.

Tramp rather liked the smile the mare threw at him. She really was rather cute. He looked at the foal measuringly. He didn't think the foal belonged to either of the mares. They looked too young. At least he hoped the blond-haired mare wasn't the foal's mother. Tramp wasn't sure if he was ready to become a father to some other stallion's foal, and even if he was, the mare might have a jealous husband waiting back home, if the foal was hers.
But when he heard her asking the foal his name, he smiled to himself. Ah. This was a foundling, then. Casually he picked up his french fries and his root beer, and walked over to a table close to the mares, holding his head on a proud arc. That usually worked on mares. He figured it would be a bad moment to intervene right then, but if he waited a bit he might make a casual entrance to the conversation. He didn't want to appear pushy.

Out of the corner of her eye Wing Sng saw the stallion get up and move closer to them. The way he walked, in such a proud manner, reminded her of a unicorn stallion back home - a cocky one, that proposed to any mare that had the courtesy to say "good morning" to him. Wing Song was less than thrilled at this, but could tell by the way this stallion walked that he didn't actually think too highly of himself - it was all just for show. But who was he showing off for? Wing Song shook this thought from her head, focusing with all her might back on Mookie.

Medley glanced over at the stallion. He was rather handsome, and she found herself taking quite a fancy to him. She thought, Don't do this to yourself, Medley, why would he show any interest in you? You haven't had a guy like you since you were 4.
Medley took a second look at the stallion. Maybe he's the boy's father, she thought.
Her thoughts were interrupted, as she heard the baby asking for "boot beer." She smiled at him as she saw him drink greedily. He was really cute, but she couldn't help wonder where his parents were...

Wing Song noticed Medley also looking at the stallion. Not wanting to seem a drooling fangirl in front of her potential new friend, she decided to act as though she felt differently about the stallion than she actually did. Leaning in closer to Medley, she muttered, "Did you notice the stallion too? I wonder why he's watching us like that - it's almost creepy. Do you think he knows Mookie?"

"I think he might...do you think he might be the boy's father? I know he looks fairly young, but Mookie's fairly yound as well." Medley whispered.
Either that or he thinks one of us is hot! What are you saying? That's not it--he must know Mookie, she thought.

"Hmm...he you might be right, although I don't see a resemblance... Well, if he is the little guy's father", Wing Song started, no longer acting as though she disapproved of the stallion, "I'd certainly like to give him piece of my mind! Leaving a poor little foal all by himself outside a place like that." The princess waved a hoof towards the Black Dragon Inn, fire in her eyes.
