Peri Winkle came at a stop in front of her. Towering above the younger, white mare, Peri's voice boomed like it could've been the wrath of God. "This is a serious injury, and you were just JOY RIDING?!"
Fractured bones were bad. At worst there was serious eternal bleeding. What if that type of hemoraging wasn't stopped? What if she just left it like that. It could heal wrong without a cast, possibly crippling her. Worst of all, what if she crashed again, making it worse? He'd hate to see the kid looking at a compound fracture, to see bones sticking out of flesh.
"Get up." His voice was thick, his eyebrows set unmoving, eyes slightly narrowed. "I'm taking you to the hospital. NOW."

Breezie hung her head. This was how she typically felt around adults, so it wasn't that surprising to her to be gettig a lecture. "Okay...", she mumbled with a sigh. She dragged a white hoof through the dirt, and found herself momentarily entertained by the swirls she was making. But she kept her pouty expression on the whole time.

It took several minutes, and silently the entire time Peri tried desperately to focuse on eleviating some of the strain on her leg by making it appear lighter with mental holding it up. Though the task in itself wasn't terribly difficult, it was straining in the length he had to maintain this. However, an actor he was, and he would not display how it affected him.
The moment they'd reached the hospital's checkin, a wheelchair was waiting for her. "Sit down there. Tell them what happened to your arm. I'll check you in the best I can. Breezie, right? What's your age? Do you know your social security number?"

"Okay - Breezie, 13, and...yeah, I'm not sure they'll believe that I fell off a roof - it sounds pretty cool though...Social Security number? What's that?" She sat herself in the wheelchair and looked at Peri. "My leg'll probably heal on its own - I don't wanna get shot - or get turned into a mindless zombie pawn. Are any of the doctors here...evil?"

Oh for the love of--"You have an over active imagination, don't you?," Peri Winkle dead panned, trying his best to contain any anger that threatened to bubble from control.
"Nevermind about the soc number. Just give me your parents number. I'll call and ask them." With that he began to fill out a clip board that was promptly handed to him, one ear opened to the number.

Breezie looked at Peri blankly for a moment - he couldn't call her parents - they'd be looking for her. And she didn't want them to find her. "Um...my parents..." The gears in her head started turning, and she talked with increasing speed and excitement. "My parents - they...aren't around - they were kidnapped - by ninjas! They were secret agents, and they were trying to get this top-secret take-over-the-world project from the ninjas. Cause they were bad ninjas - and bad ninjas shouldn't have top-secret, take-over-the-world projects, you know! So there was this busload of kids - two actually - and they were strapped to bombs - cause they'd been shrunk, so the whole buses could be strapped to 'em! Then my parents had the project and the busload of kids was about to blow up so they went back for them and the ninjas surrounded them and then they were captured!" She paused for a moment, before concluding with"...And they're okay and all but their cell phone got smashed in the fight so you can't call them in the ninja prison."
Then she folded her front hooves together, made sure to appear as though it hadn't hurt, and stared at him with a big-eyed, innocent expression.

"Over active imagenation was an understatement," Peri muttered to himself. His gaze lowered to the clipboard in hoof. Earlier she'd mentioned a room mate when he prompted for her parent's number when he initially called the hospital.
So young, and with a room mate somewhere? It didn't add up...no, it did. It occured to Peri the most logical of explanations. Breezie was a runaway. "Ye gods," he muttered. Clearly after the incident with Inti, it only seemed natural to say it. Leave it to children to never take the important stuff like a soc number or a birth certificate.
"You don't have a birth certificate where you stay, do you?" He could get the hospital to pull a soc number off that. He'd front the money for this if he had to. However, Peri would not let the issue of a runaway slide so easily. She was far too young to be on her own. It would be best to confront her once a cast was on her.

"No birth certificate...I didn't think I'd need it..." She thought for a moment about why it was so important. "I know my birthday, so why would I need to have it with me?"

Peri exhalled a long, stressed sigh. Preteens. He couldn't blame her. If he shared similar ambitions to just up and leave, a birth certificate would've been the last thing on his mind. "We need to talk later." was the only answer he gave her, before heading to the front desk to discuss what could be done considering the lack of information, and the situation in general.
(you can do a '...' type deal in which they've all ready done x-rays and put a cast on you.)

((Yah - what you said - foreleg in cast, she's wherever they put her afterward - I have no clue, since I've never had any hospital done stuff done before.))
Breezie looked at the clean white cast. The nurse had said something about not getting it wet...she thought - she'd basically tuned the majority of it out. It didn't matter anyway, though - there wasn't a chance of her avoiding water because of a silly cast. But she didn't do much swimming - the nurse would have been better off lecturing her about not smashing the cast before it had to come off.
She looked at a countertop next to her and whacked the cast against it experimentally. It made a loud thump and she felt vibrations run up her arm - it was basically numb now so it felt kinda...cool. She picked it up and let it fall again, and again, and again...

Peri Winkle exhaled softly, closed his eyes, and pinced the bridge of his nose. It was all ready been a long and trying day. After doing the best he could signing Breezie in, he'd went ahead and called his boss concerning the scooter. That did not bode well. He certainly would get more of an ear full his next day in. It couldn't be helped, he guessed. At least no one had been mortally wounded in the accident.
Opening his eyes, Peri stepped through the door into Breezie's room. "You ready to have that talk now?"

"You ready to have that talk now?"
Breezie first cocked her head to the side, not sure what Peri was talking about. Then her eyes widened. Oh. The scooter. Right.
She started slow, then sped up more and more as she got more into the story. "Okay...Well see I saw your scooter and I saw it was a newer model than mine so I was just gonna take it for a short ride - you weren't even supposed to notice it was gone - but I'm used to mine and it went too fast and I started down the hill and lost control, and I still probably would've been fine if there hadn't been that fountain - who puts a fountain in the middle of town anyway? So I was gonna hit it and then you saved me but the scooter hit it anyway so then there was that whole thing with the thief and I was chasing her and I fell off a roof and broke my foreleg and...then...I was here, so that's where I am now."
She nodded her head and then concluded with, "So see, it wasn't really my fault - but I can pay for it. At least, Wing Song probably can."
Then Breezie was silent for a moment, before slowly saying, "Wait...you were talking about the scooter, right?"

Peri shook his head in disbelief at Breezie. She really did ramble way too much, and he commended her for her imagination. That he found very likeable in the girl. Hopefully she'd keep that sort of imagination when she became a young adult.
"No, but that at least explains a few things. The scooter is the newest modle available. My boss loaned me the scooter so I could learn to ride one. Even I had trouble controlling that thing."
"But falling from a roof? You could've been hurt ten times worse than just a broken leg. You could've even gotten yourself killed.," he lectured, "And just because you went chasing over some scummy teen."
He paused, allowing the words to sink into her head. "The scooter can always be replaced. But you can't be. Tell me the truth. I'm not going to get mad, and I'm not going to scorn you. Did you run away from home? From your parents?"

"You could've even gotten yourself killed."
"They hardly ever get killed in those cop shows...", Breezie grumbled under her breath. And when they do, she thought, it's only because the actor didn't want to work on the show anymore. And besides - it always looks real cool.
"Did you run away from home? From your parents?"
The young pony's eyes widened. How did he know? "Well...kinda..."

(I need to movie Peri to Rainbow River. However, we'll just say he's got your room mates number so we can continue this little epic drama. Sorry)
"Kinda...," he breathed out, musing over her words. It was an average thing to see in preteens, so he couldn't say he was surprised. However, it did concern him greatly. How old was her room mate? Could the two support themselves? Then there was all the legalities involving the medical bills...and his scooter.
"Breezie, look. Get a hold of your roommate. Tell her what's happened. I've got her number, so I'll get ahold of you later and check in about things. Take it easy."
(Peri heads to RR)
