High Tide went in search of a place to stay when he thought What better place than the place where he and Spring Fever had met... the hemlock forest!

High Tide walked into the forest and, seeing that it was apparently empty, continued on. He picked a nice spot and settle down for a nap. He hoped he wasn't intruding in anyone's territory...

High Tide fell into a deep sleep, and instead of having the wonderful dream about the ocean's rolling waves, how it never seemed to stop but always went on beautifully, he dreamt of Spring Fever. He dreamed of her by his side and they were walking together in a meadow. They were talking when there was a flood. Spring was swept away from him, and no matter how much he searched, she could not be found.
Tide awoke with full remembrance of his dream and he rubbed his head. This couldn't be right. What a strange dream to have, and not of the ocean either. He was getting distracted and he knew it. He HAD to see the ocean. He had heard marvelous stories about its ongoing waters, the salty taste and even that he had been named after it himself. If he kept up with the goo goo eyes and stayed with Spring Fever, he would never get to his first love- the ocean.

Tide looked around cautiously as he heard a twig snap loudly. He sighed as a harmless bushwoolie hopped out near him. What was a bushwoolie doing in a place like this? It was so dark, there was no greens to eat. This wasn't a place for an animal like a bushwoolie. He stumbled onto his feet and glanced around. Then he started to shoo the little creature towards the forest's edge. "Go on you stupid thing," he said, "You don't want to be in a place like this." "Yes, what on Earth would a bushwoolie be doing in a hemlock forest?" High Tide heard a voice. He whirled around. Standing in front of him, with a smirk on her face, was a lavender mare. She pierced him with a rotten glare. He had no idea who this was. "Who are you and what do you want?" he asked, with a note of irritation in his voice. He stared back at her and didn't remove his gaze. The mare shut her eyes and when she opened them, the smirk was gone. "I am here to do anything you want me to," she said in a flat tone. Then she shook her head and yelled, "What do you think you're doing, pulling stunts like that?!" High Tide looked at her and said, "Doing what?" "Don't play cute with me. If you hypnotize me again, I swear I'll..." she trailed off. High Tide sat in shock. Hypnotism? He could hypnotize people? He stared at her again, and though the mare tried to look away, his hypnotic gaze held her eyes.

"That's it! You asked for it!" the mare yelled as she snapped out of her trance. "I warned you!" she cried, lunging at him. Fortunately, the mare was not as strong as Tide, and he managed to hold her off with only a few bites and scratches. He finally shoved her to the ground and said, "What are you here for? And may I at least know your name?" the mare stood up briskly. She huffily brushed her mane away from her face and said, "I am Aero," the pegasus said, "I'm here because of a prophecy. Are you not High Tide?" she inquired. Tide nodded reluctantly. "What sort of prophecy?" he asked. And so Aero began her story. "It was when I lived back in the Mountains, the very mountains you came from. I was but 5 when a foal was born in a nearby village. The foal was given the name High Tide, named for the sea. There was a tale I was told. One of great importance. It was passed on by the inhabitants of that village. High Tide had a spell cast upon him. One of hypnotic powers. The prophecy was told that this very foal would one day go to the sea. And when he reached his destination, he would become able of another power. With his gift of hypnotism, he would take over the ocean and could cause disaster to all ponies. I have come to stop that prophecy, to kill you." (ooc: Aero is only a temporary character )

High Tide almost scoffed, but did not want to underestimate Aero. Sure, she was smaller than him and obviously not as strong, but who knew what powers she had? His one concern now, besides the fact that he was wanted dead, was wondering how she had been able to locate him.

"It's true that I have always longed to see the ocean. But I am no evil, and I would never cause pain to any pony, unless absolutely necessary," Tide said cooly. "Yes, that's what you say now, but no doubt a force would come over you once you came in contact with the waters. I have no choice but to kill you," Aero said. With that, she swooped high above him, out of the forest. He could not see hardly any light in the dark forest, so he wound his way through the trees and out of the hemlock forest. He caught a glimpse of the pegasus as she soared above, but she was clever and flew into the sun so Tide would not be able to see her. This would give her full attack mode. She had the elements of surprise on her side.
Aero flew into the air and made a quick decision. She flew into the way of the sun, blocking High Tide's view of her. She grinned maliciously as she planned her way of attack. She figured she should put on a burst of speed and hit him straight on, knocking him unconcious. That would make it much easier to finish him off.

Aero stuck with her plan and sped up, turning towards Tide. She charged head on, and plowed right into him. She kept going and swooped back into the air, slowing down once she was up high enough.
High Tide squinted, watching for his enemy. Out of no where, she rammed into him at full speed. He hadn't even seen it coming. He fell with a thud on his back and groaned. His head was throbbing. He rolled over to stand back up.

Aero swooped back up, but this time Tide was ready. She wasn't in front of the sun anymore, and he kept an eye on her. As she came down to hit him again, High Tide kicked out and hit her in the stomach. She landed hard on the ground and gasped.
Aero had the wind knocked right out of her as that blundering fool cleverly destroyed her plan. She gulped for air. High Tide came over and placed a hoof on her vulnerable stomach. "I could kill you right now," he said, "But I'll be generous. I'm giving you 3 seconds to get your soprry a** out of this town and never come back," he demanded sharply. "1....2....."

Before Tide could say three, Aero shoved his hoof aside and stood up. She walked in the opposite direction and before taking off, glared menacingly back at her enemy. With that, she spread her lavender wings and lifted up, not looking back once.
High Tide watched Aero leave. He kept looking long after the pegasus had left, just incase she decided to pull any stunts. When he was sure she was gone, he walked back over to the edge of the hemlock forest and sat in the sun.

Tide sat out and watched the sunset as it began to get late. He took a quick munch of surrounding grass, then headed back into the forest for sleep to rest his head. It still hurt from the fall. He stumbled rather dizzily back to his spot and collapsed for a good night's rest.

High Tide yawned and woke. He heard someone entering the forest. He jerked his head and leapt up. "Who's there?" he called out cautiously.

"I am." Mace stood rather threateningly ten feet away, Tink was standing beside him and he was looking particularly annoyed.

"Hello," Tide said, more calmly now that he knew it wasn't Aero. "May I ask your name?" he asked, wishing to know the 2 ponies, since he usually was uncomfortable not meeting people right in front of him.
