As soon as Tsuwari was set on the floor, he yawned and stumbled sideways. He was terribly tired, and if he could tell time, he still wouldn't have a clue what time it was. With yet another yawn, he ambled over to his equally fatigued mother and leaned his head against her leg, then nuzzled it.
"Mama?" He asked in a small voice, "Can I sleep with you tonight? Please?"

"Of course," she replied, much in the same fatigued manor. In truth, deep down she felt much, much better hearing this. Tsuwari would be near her where she could easily make sure he was fine. It would probably help her nerves calm down enough to fall asleep.
Before retiring, Rose quickly looked about for her house guests (I'm assuming Sil and Set are present), before heading upstairs to her room. There she curled under the coveres and waited for Tsuwari to make himself comfortable.
(I can see it now... "Mama...I wanna a nightlight.")

Tsuwari snuggled under the covers, drawing them up to his little face, and curling into a ball. He tried to close his eyes and go to sleep, which should have been easy considering how tired he was, and comforted by his mother's presence. After a few minutes, when Rose was quickly on her way to falling asleep, Tsuwari shifted about, ears swiveling. A small hoof softly pushed the red mare's shoulder.
"Mama.." Tsuwari whispered, "It's dark..."

Rose released a heavy sigh. Without responding, she pushed her tired body back up and stumbled out of bed. With trudging steps, she dragged herself across the hallway and towards Tsuwari's bedroom. The red mare bent down and as she touched the pony shaped nightlight a sudden chill ran down her spine.
Slowly, she turned her head around, her face filled with a mix of dismay and suspicion. Nothing was behind her. You're being paranoid, Rose! No one is here, and Set had set up that barrier around the house, Glayse isn't here. The thought struck her as odd the moment it had crossed her mind. Surely she would be more concerned about Yama appearing to take her child? Somehow, no matter how Rose tried to think of Yama, her mind wandered back to Glayse. A sinking feeling was forming in the bottom of her gut, and Rose didn't like the ominous feeling either.
Trying her best to shake off whatever feeling she was struck with, Rose pulled out the nightlight and returned back to her bedroom at a faster pace than she left with. Silently, she was thankful for the little extra light that night.

"Thanks, Mama.." Tsuwari yawned, snuggling deeper into the bed covers. When Rose returned to his side, he curled up against her, ever comforted by her presence. She was the single pony he loved most in the world, and would do anything for, as he showed earlier that night in bravely facing off with the image of Yama. The way he saw it, they would always be inseparable. Nothing would ever come along to take his mother's love and attention away from him. ..Right?

Rose cuddled with Tsuwari, wrapping a comforting, yet strong hold upon him. Seemingly thoughts of Glayse and Yama vanished with her child safely in her embrace. The world was far away from them, everything would be fine, at least, for the night it would be. Quietly, her eyelids drooped shut, sleep taking her body.

(Don't mean to interrupt but... Delta's still in Rose's house. ) Delta's deep blue eyes flicked open. She sat up quickly before remembering where she was. She was in Rose's house, and last she could remember she was looking after the small orange foal with Silverfall. Realising that she must have fallen asleep, she quietly left the couch and tiptoed towards the door. She slipped silently outside and closed the door with a snap. Delta sighed. She was alone again. Delta trotted out of Rose's front garden but hardly took in the beautiful flowers that decorated it. Deep inside she felt a pang of unhappiness, due to the fact that no-one had bothered to wake her to tell her where they were going. She kicked a rock into the rainbow river violently. The pegasus lifted her wings and left the ground, setting off for the town. (cont. elsewhere)

(jumping to morning)
Soon after the sun came up over the horizon, a small featherd hoof gently prodded the sleeping red mare. "Mama.." It came in a whisper, which got no response. "Mama?" Tsuwari pushed his mother's shoulder more firmly, using a normal, if not slightly loud voice, "Mama? Are you awake?" Slightly discouraged when all he got was a grumble for an answer, the foal sat down in a slump, and sighed. He then said in a pouty voice, "..I'm hungry."

Rose Rebellion hadn't stirred right away at Tsuwari's gentle prodding. She was tired, and even Rose couldn't deny this. Yesterday she'd used quite a deal of her magic in order to grow all the exotic ingredients all the home remedies had required, and she had put out so much physical energy trying to escape Yama as she had. It was no wonder she tried to snuggle her red face further into the regions of her pillow.
It didn't seem to help that it felt as if she was more tired than she had when she'd gone to bed hours before.
However, Tsuwari's eager cries for food eventually seeped through her hearing, and Rose did her best to contain a groan as she opened one heavy purple eye. Seeing her foal's expression was enough to drag her out of her teenage fit of fatigue, and without complaint she pushed herself from her position and staggered to her hooves. "All right," she murmured sleepily, "What do you want this morning?"

The orange-red foal's ears swiveled forward as Rose began to rouse from sleep. He watched her from his still-sitting position on the bed next to her, as if she would suddenly do something entertaining. Being a foal, and despite his ordeal the night before, he was able to bounce back remotely quickly from the physical exertion. It was almost as if the entire episode had been one bad dream.
"What do you want this morning?"
Tsuwari looked up at Rose, the picture of innocence.
"Pancakes."

The young mother couldn't help but release a charmed smile, but it took everything to withold the ironic sarcastic laugh that wanted to follow. Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer.
Within moments, Rose was in the kitchen mixing the batter for pancakes. Sadly, she noted that neither Set, Silverfall, or Delta were present....and somehow it left her somwhat uneasy.

Tsuwari sat on the floor, staring at a small rubber ball. He was only slighlty less energetic than usual, given in part to the previous night's incidents. Lowering his head, he tensed his body. A small burst of energy snapped at the tip of his horn. The ball moved forward. Tsuwari scooted forward and tried it again. The ball moved away from his horn. Fascinated by this, he stood up, and slowly chased the ball around in a circle. Then, the little foal picked up the ball and held it above his horn. With careful balance, he could make the ball hover just above his little horn as if some invisible air current held it there.
"Mama," He said quietly, concentrating hard, "Mama, look!"

Rose turned her head in time to see Tsuwari's balancing act. Her mouth opened just slightly, and she watched with her eyes filled with amazement. This was something she would probably never tire of, the abilities her foal could learn so fast. Before she never much paid attention to just how exciting it was to see foals develop. Now that she had one of her own, Rose could not help but be in awe. The affects of motherhood.
Finishing the breakfast, she placed the plates and pancakes on the table. Feeling so drained, Rose knew that it would be a test of her wit of Tsuwari was his usual energetic self. "Please don't make a mess of yourself today."

The little foal was sensitive enough to realize that his mother wasn't feeling very well that day. As he crawled up into his chair, he voiced a quiet, "Thank you, Mama.." before digging in to his meal. Making a suprisingly minimal mess, Tsuwari downed the remainder of a cup of milk and wiped his mouth with the back of his hoof. Just then, the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it!" Tsuwari said excitedly, scrambling down before Rose could say a word. He scampered toward the front door, excited that they would have visitors that day.
A moment later, Tsuwari reentered the room, eyes like saucers and body slightly stiff. It was unclear whether he was scared or simply in shock. His voice came very quietly.
"Mama... the orange pony is here."

Rose Rebellion's entire body froze; the hairs on ever inch of her skin bristling up as her small foal said those words. Those very words echoed constantly on repeat, sounding several times before it finally sunk through to her. And it spoke volumes.
Rose darted from her chair, stumbling and rushing down the hall towards the front door. She didn't know what to feel, she wasn't sure what to expect, but the moment her lavender eyes met that hue of brilliant orange all she could do was stop and stare. The thoughts never came to mind exactly how Glayse could possibly be standing before her in flesh and blood. It didn't matter. The point was the he was still there. Once again, her mind locked up, and she looked at Glayse with a mix of joy and fear at the same time.
Fear won the battle, and Rose's horn began to glow weakly. "Leave. Now.," she ordered, her eyes narrowed, her voice harsh and low.
