Time: Morning, 9-10 ish. Anyone's welcome to jump in the thread, especially Gods. Please, entertain me, lol.
The white stallion entered the Café slow and calmly. It was his day off, one he hadn't had in a long time, and was planning to utilize it lofting around and lazily going about his daily tasks. Arranging days off in the soap opera business was odd and sometimes a bit unnerving. Writers would have to be notified ahead of time to incorporate who would be in a day's episode, and who not to be. Peri Winkle hadn’t actually been included in the last scheduling arrangement, which accounted for the long time between workdays. Not that he was upset about it; he was doing what he loved to do, after all. It was just nice to lull for a bit, was what it was.
He searched the floor for open tables...or waitress whom seemed swamped with customers or not. The stallion used to be a waiter before his big start, and knew how tough the business was. Every morning he purposely went out of his way to pick a table assigned to a waitress whom wasn't getting any action with the patrons. Tips are everything these days... Peri checked for his wallet again to make sure he had it, and sat down in an empty booth near the back where it was less busy.
To idle away his time, and for a waitress to come take his order, he focused his attention on the little wooden peg game in front of him. It didn't take long to be fully determined in winning it.

Willow wiped a stray segment of hair away from her face in an exasperated motion. She had been busy all winter and spring cooking and harvesting, housekeeping and nannying, aklong with keeping up with her friends Jewel, and rose. Just this morning she had been making some pies and pruning her veggie garden. She needed something caffinated before she was out for the rest of the day. She sat at the barstool with her beige messenger bag at her side. She ordered a mint choco coffe with extra cream and sugar. When her order came she stirred the contents lightly before blowing off the steam and taking a small sip. She felt warmed by the drink and blinked her eyes in a motion to wake herself up more. She had to admit after the holidays she stayed pretty clean from alcohol she didnt want to make a fool of herself again. Fact is she barely remembered that night and to the best of her abilities she tried to forget it. She toook a couple more sips of her coffee as she spun around on her barstool to cheak out the crowd. It was the usual faces she saw everyday. She was about to turn back in her stool when a new face caught her eye. He was sitting in a booth playing a peg game that sat on the table in front of him. He looked so firmiliar in a way.. but yet willow could have sworn she had never saw him around here before. She stared piercingly at his features. He was a fit stallion for sure. Well kept and hunky. Like the type you would bring home to mom.

"Blasted thing," Peri cursed with a sour look, failing again at the peg game. If he were standing, his tail would swish with irritation. With ears low to his head, he scooped the Cafe for a waitress--
Low and behold, Willow sat with her drink, looking back at him. Although Peri hadn't given the holiday night any thought, he recognized her as being the mare from that night. Curious, and wondering how she got her drink faster than his, Peri motioned for her to come over.

Willow saw the stallion begin to shift in his seat and reailsed she was being rude and staring.. quickly she turned away, only to peek over her shoulder and see him staring right at her.. Her mouth dropped slightly as he motioned fore her to join him.. She blushed and shuffled over to the booth and sat down with her coffee in one hoof and purse in the other. "He-hello" she stammered shyly while sliding into the seat across from him. She stirred her coffee nervously.

Sweet Summertime saw Peri come in, she didn't know who he was, but he looked familiar to her. She then remembered he used to work at the Cafe. She turned towards the other two. "So, how is everything going?" She asked them.

(ooc: First of Dazzle, I would like to say I know you're trying really hard, but there's a problem with your prior post. It isn't too bad, but I'd like to point it out so that you can learn something from your mistake. As you have written, Sweet Summertime recognizes Peri Winkle, which was fine. What was, was that you automatically assumed that when I wrote he had been a waiter, that he had been so at the Café. Assuming details of another character can be a touchy situation for some role players. Ways to avoid assuming wrong information is to ask in an 'ooc' section, like I am writing, or go and read a pony's profile before interacting with that character. I always try to read up on whom a character is before I start interacting with them, so that mistakes (such as ones applied to age or gender) are avoided. If you had read my profile on Peri Winkle, you would have realized he moved to Ponyville five years ago to WORK in a SOAP OPERA. Common logic suggests that if Peri is working for public TV, than he would not have been a waiter in any of those five years. Now, I had also written in my above post that Peri had been a waiter before his big start...meaning before his big start in acting.
I'm not trying to sound mean, or rude, but you need to pay a little bit closer attention to details.)
"Good morning," Peri said with a hoof out in greeting, "You might not recognize me, or even remember me. To be honest, I can't recall your name, myself. But we sort of collided into each other back around the Solstice party. I was in a lot of make up, and you were a little tipsy with having too many holiday spirits to drink." The stallion hoped he wasn't making her uncomfortable with his means of explanation, however, he couldn't think of any better way than his rather blunt truth. "We were never really properly introduced that night, but I'm Peri Winkle. And you are?"

Outside the Cafe, a pegasus was practically prancing through Ponyville's streets. Occaisionally, a small shadow would cross her path, as a silver griffin the size of a dog floated high above. The pegasus' coat had acquired a golden shimmer with the summer sunshine, and a few natural highlights striped her brown-and-purple locks, which framed purple eyes. The summer had brought new life and vibrance into Jewel, and it showed in every move she made.
Hesitantly, she glanced in the window of the Cafe, wondering if Rose, Willow, or anyone else she might know might be in there. She smiled upon seeing Willow. And she was with that stallion from Festival Eve! Not wanting to display that she had any interest in the white male, Jewel stood for a moment and pretended to poke at something on the ground, wondering whether or not she really wanted to go in there.

Star Catcher blinked blearily as the sunlight burnt his eyes. He didn't like the summer much. He was more of a Winter stallion himself; Everything was so very beautiful then, and the northern lights (Or whatever ponyville has) outdid everything else.
He had a brown bag slung over his shoulder. It was filled with writing materials and scraps of paper with words scrawled on them hastily.
He was out to write poetry, he was looking for a peaceful place to sit and concentrate. He was good at poetry, but it didn't come naturally. He had to work very hard on it when he was younger. He used to be very bad at English, but his grandparents encouraged his poetry so he could let out his feelings in a non-physical way; Star could get very angry at times.
The peg decided that it would be better to go into the cafe, as it was too hot outside. He strolled in and set his bag down on the table; quickly noticing that it was less than quiet in here, but it was just a soft sea of chatter so he chose to stay there.
He ordered a glass of ice water and set to work.

Peri Winkle gave a smile as he patiently awaited the other's reply. He was still unaware of Jewel waiting outside. Chances were that he would recognize her in the manor he had Willow, but had probably misplaced the name.
However, before Willow could reply back to him, his eyes caught the attention of Star Catcher. Now Peri Winkle didn't see very many pegs in his time, and although he was well aware that there were quite a few in town he knew (Jewel, Kail, etc.), he hadn't seen this bloke yet. So he whistled and waved for him to come over. "Why not, it's my day off, I might as well spend it meeting new ponies."

Star Catcher saw Peri gesturing to him out of the corner of his eye. He looked up and gave him a stern look, then made up his mind to go over.
He packed up his scraps of paper and whatnot, and with a scrape of a stool, got up and went over to Peri's table. As he got closer he decided that Peri did look like a nice guy, and he gave him a rare smile. "Hey," he greeted slowly. "Uh... The name's Star Catcher. I don't believe I've seen you before."

Willow Blushed at his mentioning of the party.. She didnt really remember anything besides the fact that she ended up at her kleepa with a serious hangover the next day. "ehehe" she smiled nervously.. "Im sorry I dont remember a whole lot that day... " she cooughed thinking of all the crazy things she could have possibly done that night.. 'Did we??-' she fell short of her thinking telling herself that she wouldnt have done anything like THAT when she was drunk.. then again.. why was the stallion being so nice to her? 'Dear god' her blush turned deeper but the stallions eyes were averted by a new face to the town.. a peg... She smiled. She hadnt seen alot of pegs in her day.. only a small few. "Yes. Why not join us?" Willow added... 'Gee, this guys certainly is friendly' thought willow as she contemplated Peri's gerneral assertiveness.

In answer to Willow's statement, Peri just smiled knowingly. "Normally I don't scare ponies so bad into amnesia," he said jokingly, "Nah, I'm only fooling. You did nothing aside from being overly drunk and dramatic. A friend of yours took you home, a yellow peg, I think."
"Hey," Peri greeted in return, shaking Star Catcher's hoof with a firm grip, "I'm Peri Winkle, and I haven't seen you around either. But I've been in town for five years now." Possibly a visitor from out of town? I'm sure I'd recognize him if he were a resident.

"Yes, I've only been in town for a week, but I'd thought I'd met everyone; This is quite a small and friendly place." He smiled weakly.
He turned to the female pony and nodded in greeting. "And you would be...?"
He always instantly warmed up to mare's, because they had a warmth stallion's could never have.

Apple played a game of leapfrog with the sidewalk, at least that's what she claimed it was. One, two, three, leap and over the crack in the sidewalk she would jump. Giggling she found herself in front of the Cafe. Spotting Jewel, she waved and smiled friendly.
"Sure is hot out." Apple stated, wiping a couple beads of sweat from her face.
The thought of ice cream sundaes and banana splits entered her mind. It was all the teenager could do to keep from drooling on the cement.
"Going inside?" Apple asked Jewel, trying very hard not to just run inside after a cool, sugary treat.
Vanilla ice cream did sound good. She had to admit that. Hopefully the Cafe still had plenty left. Oh and maybe there would be more homemade applesauce for her to put on top too! That last thought was almost too much for Apple and she almost left without waiting for Jewel's reply.
A hoof on the door, she half pulled it open. The bell jingling as she did so. Turning back to look at Jewel, Apple waited to see if she was coming in.
