Jewel laughed softly and grinned straight back at him, batting her eyelashes for a brief moment, "I would certainly say so, personally." Though her outward appearance was mellow and collected as usual, her heart had begun to gain tempo as she flirted so confidently with this stallion. It was almost like a personal challenge for her, and she enjoyed every minute of trying to be sly and mischievous, no matter what the outcome would turn out to be.

Star Catcher thought for a moment.
"Well actually... I wouln't mind getting a job in Soap scripting. I guess I have to start somewhere, and I have to earn some money... I'm not that picky, really." He grinned. "Yes, I would like you to look into it for me, it'd be giving me a great help, thanks."
He yawned and lent against his hoof, dreaming of what it would be like to be a script writer.... yes, it would be nice. It wasn't his life long dream, but it was on the way... He was happy either way, actually, as long as he didn't end up in a dead-end job... He looked over at a waitress at the next table... Like Waitering... He thought.

"It's nice to meet you, Peri Winkle." The alicorn said with a smile and nod.
He listened to Star Catcher and watched the pegasus dream away. Soap scripting?... interesting...... The jet black alicorn felt like a part of him was dreaming also as he stared out into space...
a warm summers day... a group of ponies at the beach... a little dark green pegasus swimming in the water... swmming...
Then a cry from a young foal from inside broke the dream apart.
Charm! His green eyes widened with sudden concern. You fool Dreamer! How could I... but wait I was thinking of looking for her... was I? weird... I'm sure I... was...
"Excuse me." Dreamer said suddenly, standing up. "I do not mean to be rude, but I just realised that I am needed somewhere. I'm sorry that I have to leave so soon, and I hope we get the chance to meet up again sometime. Anyway, it's been a pleasure meeting you, Star Catcher, Peri Winkle." He nodded his head in the direction of the two mares since he didn't know their names. "Cya later."
The alicorn hurriedly exited the cafe and took off in flight.

"I would certainly say so, personally." "Would you?," Peri continued with his curious tenor, "So, do you ever talk to yourself?" The white stallion was taken in by Jewel's intoxicating voice, and suggestive wink. He hadn't felt quite this frisky in a while. All right, well, not since his last workday. But there was something about Jewel that struck his fancy. (Ah, poor Willow. I'm ignoring you ). "Well actually... I wouldn't mind getting a job in Soap scripting. I guess I have to start somewhere, and I have to earn some money... I'm not that picky, really." The actor returned Star Catcher a thrilled look. "Splendid! Here-" He scribbled a phone number onto a napkin and handed it over to the peg. "That's my cell number. You be sure to call me when you get some samples written up." Peri Winkle caught the tail end of Dreamer's explanation, before he had excused himself. Peri just gave a minor frown, but understood completely. It wasn't everyday he met an Ailicorn, just the brief moment was a welcome enough experience.

Jewel tilted her head down in a coy, shy way, then lifted only her eyes to look back at him, "Quite often, I'm afraid," She responded, purple eyes suggesting more of a dare than answering a question. The school-filly deep inside her went on a tanget of squeals and exclamations, while her outward young adulthood portrayed a picture of coolness. It had just been so long since she had tried to get herself a stallion. After Roux, she had stayed away from them for the better part of a year, and only now did she realize how ready she was to jump back into the game. Whatever was going to happen, she was having fun.

Tyr noticed the subtle reactions to his presence, and his scarred chest rose and fell with a sigh. Ponies had always been odd around him but now that it was known to some what he was...well.
He'd enjoyed company for a time, and now...times had come around again, and the walls were back. All knowing, all seeing, and all alone.
"Soap operas," Tyr said thoughtfully. "Never was able to keep up with those. I'd forget about them for awhile, come back...and half the cast would have died tragically, the other half would have amnesia, and a bit of both would have been cheating on their significant others, or...something."

Thoughts of her birthday and turning eighteen swimming through her head, Apple suddenly found she wasn't in the mood for an ice cream sundae after all.
Shoulders slumping, she rested her arms on the counter. A soft sigh escaped the teenager as she sat otherwise motionless on the chair.

"That's a might big shame," he replied cooly to Jewel, nodding his head in understanding. Peri Winkle might have actually openly admitted to being lonely, except, he couldn't honestly view himself as such. He worked long days, but whom he spent his time with at work left him far from lonely. And any pent up desires he actually came across, he usually put to use in the more physical scenes of his work. However, Jewel made Peri want to be lonely. Very, very badly. A charmed expression crossed his lips. "I suppose then, we'll have to fix that."
Tyr's remark made Peri laugh aloud, and for a good thirty seconds or so. It was just amusing to hear Tyr, a unicorn with the gruff and grim appearance that he had, say anything even remotely close to soap operas. Tall and ugly is full of surprises today. "That's the beauty in it, my friend," Peri said, once his fit of laughter subsided, "Soaps are designed for new viewers to just jump right in. So if you don't see it for a while, usually within a week you'd be filled in on what you missed. And even if half the characters bit the big one, hardly ever does it mean that they're really dead. They'll come back to life in several months."
He smiled genuinely at Tyr, Peri just loved to talk about acting. And just like the observant actor he was, the white stallion noticed the depressing demeanor that Apple Jack was wallowing in. Right away, he'd taken note that she was a teen, so much younger than himself. However, Peri was unfazed at the age difference, as he worked with many people that young every day. Although he had wanted to call her over, he was uncertain whether a lot of older ponies would frighten her off.

The old god glanced over at Apple Jack. He was not known for being...well...cheering. Dryly sarcastic, yes, but you had to enjoy that sort of thing. He'd leave her to Peri.
He shook his head slightly. "Soap operas....are nothing like reality. I suppose that's why they're watched though...reality is so much worse."
(OOC: Why am I thinking of him as rather Eeyore-ish today? hmm.)

Willow watched the flirtateous scene fall before her between Jewel and Peri. 'Ah great..' willow thought as she kept to herself quietly in the corner of the booth 'Not only is jewel stealing peri from me (not that he was ever mine or anything in the first place..), i have no idea what the hell a soap opera is all about. ' Willow felt very unwelcomed in the group. She plastered a fake smile on her face and nodded along with the conversation.. 'Ah let jewel have 'im.. we really dont have anything in common anyways' Willow confronted herself..

Jewel chuckled softly, and looked back at Peri, "Will we now?" A smile crept upon her lips. "Maybe even later tonight?" I hope he doesn't get the wrong idea.. I'm not that kind of mare! The golden pegasus thought with a smile and a toss of her mane.
Glancing over at her friend, Jewel realized immediately that Willow wasn't happy. She nudged her with one of her elbows of her arms crossed over her chest. Softly she asked, "Is everything okay? Do you wanna leave?" and hoped she could do something to cheer her up.

Chatter and the occasional burst of laughter echoed from the crowded table. Half turning around, Apple eyed them again.
"Maybe being an adult won't be so bad. Well, maybe." She thought, still a bit uncertain about this growing up business.
Not wishing to dampen anyone's happy mood though, for she always disliked when others did that to her, she choose instead to leave the Cafe.
Half sliding half hopping down from her chair, she walked across the tiled floor. Hoof on the door she gave it a little tug, before walking back out into the hot summer afternoon.

"wha?" willow heard jewels soothing voice. "Oh me? nawh im fine." She flailed slightly and took a sip of her drink. "soo.." She tryed to start up a new conversation but came up blank... "So. erm.. how is everyone?" she blushed... "Im fine. I just had to harvest some of my garden today.. you know.. the usual." Willow smiled.

"Really," Jewel responded, "What kind of stuff did you bring in? Any... strawberries?" The golden pegasus grinned, licking her lips. Those were her absolute favorite fruit, and all the better out of Willow's garden. "We should have a cooking party!" Jewel laughed, knowing the antics and messes that would take place between the two of them at such an event.

Peri watched Apple with interest, out of the corner of his right eye. His ears were steady and up front, paying close attention to the girls.
His thoughts kept drifting to why Tyr had said, though. And the white stallion couldn't figure out why? Sure, he knew life could be harsher than a soap opera. But he knew that scriptures sure as h*ll knew how to dumb the worlds problems one right after another on soap characters. Peri couldn't literally say that his reality wasn’t horrible, he liked it very much. He admitted to being reluctant with paying his mother's depts to his late father's medical surgeries, but aside that, Peri didn't find is life that hard at all compared to others.
So he had one eye? So what. Sure a little bit of his vision is impaired, but that was nothing compared to losing other body parts. And just like any working civilian, he still had to follow orders, show up on time, and pay bills. It was just easier for him because he found a job he liked. Peri really had no miserable reality altering life experiences, lest, none he wasn't old enough to remember. I'd probably regret it, but I think I need to suffer through something great...something I can draw experience from, to relate to when acting.
"Maybe," he said to Jewel, flashing a smile.
