"Oh, tell me about it," The golden pegasus smiled kindly, also acknowleging the heat, "I bet it's much cooler in there.." She added, trying to calm her awkward feeling in regards to the stallion inside.
"Thanks," Jewel smiled, walking through the open door. She then proceeded to the table where her friends were situated. Giving her mane a small toss and putting a little spring in her step, she approached the group.
"Hi everyone," She smiled, seemingly still filled with sunlight, though she was calm and collected on the outside.

"Why, speak of the devil," Peri Winkle said, his lips pulling up into a grin, flashing Jewel a glimpse of his pearly whites, "If it isn't Jewel." He picked up on Willow's earlier statement where she had mentioned the peg's name. Of course, now it would seem that he took the time to remember Jewel's name from the Fest Eve Party and not Willow's. But none of that seamed to cross Peri's mind as he greeted Jewel properly.
"It's good to see you around," he said to her, "And you to Willow. I'm glad to see both you gals sorted things out from this winter." His eyes began to wander, as he looked to either side the sun colored peg. "I don't see your little friend from before." He referred to the griffin.
"Yes, I've only been in town for a week, but I'd thought I'd met everyone; This is quite a small and friendly place."
"Yes well, that's what you get when your boss over works you. Man, this is the first day off I've had in so long. The scriptures accidentally forgot to write a script with scenes not including my character for a while." He leaned back in his chair, stretching to make his point. "It feels pretty darn good."

Jewel smiled and cooly returned the stallion's remark with, "Why, if it isn't Peri Winkle," and raised an eyebrow for a flirtatious effect. "It's nice to see you too." She added. "Oh, the griffin.. well, he's grown quite a bit over the past few months.. I'm afraid he's too big to be toted around. He more or less does as he pleases," Jewel jerked her head, lifting her mane for a moment in the movement, toward the building across the street, where Amr was sitting on the edge of the roof, sunning his silver feathers. Her eyes returned to Peri's for a moment.
Eyes caught by the sight of white feathers, Jewel turned to Star Catcher, who had just spoken, "Oh.. hello," She greeted, assuming he'd introduced himself to the others already. "I'm Jewel." A male peg... nice she mused.

Star Catcher suddenly seemed more interested in Peri. He sat down and spoke: "Oh, you're an actor? How interesting... It must be fun, being able to be anyone you want to be... With no strings attached." he said thoughtfully.
The pale stallion then turned to Jewel and said "Hello Jewel..." as he eyed her up and down.

Peri's right eyes caught the glimpse of Amr. The silver feathers reflected the sunlight brilliantly, almost blindingly. The white stallion rubbed his eye for a moment, as the sight made his eye hurt and water. "Well, it's good to see it's getting bigger. It's always nice to see something eccentric and somewhat exotic from time to time," he flashed another smile to her.
A waitress passed by this time, and Peri excused himself for a moment and called her down. About darn time I can get an order in! They aren't that swamped....must be new waitress. The stallion quickly gave his order for a nutmeg expresso and settled himself back down comfortably in his chair.
"Sure, it's a blast, I really, truly enjoy it.," Peri said with every bit of enthusiasm he felt towards acting and theater. But the other's tone of voice attached to his later words made Peri add something more. "Although I really love playing so many different people, I still enjoy it when I'm not acting and when I can be myself. There isn't anybody else I'd rather be than that."
He winked his left glass eye at Jewel.

Star Catcher nodded. "It's easier to be yourself than someone that you're not..." and his thoughts turned to how he was known for being a Mr. Perfect because he was handsome on the outside. He frowned.
Star saw the griffin and widened his eyes. He'd never seen one before... It was very beautiful, some lines for a poem sprang to mind straight away but he pushed them to the back of his mind.

Jewel nodded in reply to Peri's comment, then sat back to listen to the two stallions talk about acting. Having been a singer in her old hometown, she took a great interest in the performing arts, and enjoyed related conversation greatly. All in all, she missed performing, and was always keeping an eye out for opportunities.
The golden pegasus blushed slighlty, then grinned at the white stallion after he winked at her. Quite charming, isn't he? She thought.

(ooc: Peri: Oh yeah! I'm charming! *grins*)
"So you seem to be rather interested in acting," he speculated of Star, "I'm curious, do any of you three watch Soap Operas?" He gave a knowing look to Star. "It's all right if you don't or do. It's just out of curiosity. If you guys have, ever watch Following A Storm?"
Ah yes, Following A Storm, the soap Peri played the mare having a sex change. It was interesting to play a woman in a man's body...he couldn't say he liked any of the kissing scenes with other stallions, but it was certainly challenging and over all fun.

"I'm really more into music, personally," Jewel replied, her eyes sparkling for a moment in reminiscence and passion, "I used to be a singer, at a local coffee house in my hometown. I haven't acted much, but I don't think I'd turn down an opportunity to," She shrugged, extending and refolding her golden wings. Her heart leapt for a moment at the idea of singing again. Was that what was missing from her life now? Is that why she felt incomplete? No time to ponder that now, she thought, but something to consider later. She looked to Star for his reply to Peri's question, trying not to seem intrusive in the conversation.

Star suddenly chuckled. "Yes, I've seen a few episodes but I'm not into Sopa Opera's really, but it is very interesting to see how you portray a gender-confused mare." He paused for a moment and started again. "It must be very hard; I'd probably lose track of what gender I was playing."
Star Catcher began to warm up, as if the ice that closed him off from other ponies was melting.

The white stallion couldn't help but release a fit of laughter. "Yeah, it's confusing as h*ll!," he fully agreed, "But it's half the fun too! I think the writer's noticed it, because they certainly write a lot of confusing scenes. Whoo...yeah." He wiped a few laughter tears from the corner of his eye.
Hearing Jewel's response to his questions cause Peri to place a more calm and serious face on. "Singing, hmm?," he said with complete interest on his face, "I'd love to hear you sometime. I'm sure if you really want to try mixing singing and acting that you should look into Roxy's Theater. But I'm sure you all ready knew that."
His blue eye followed the movement of Jewel's wings. Peri Winkle couldn't help it. Pegs just fascinated him. "Just like having an angel on earth," he murmured softly with a hearty smile.

Jewel too chuckled softly at the idea of Peri being gender-confused on the set. Her mind was already creating interesting mental images regarding that situation.
"Maybe I'll find an opportunity soon when I can," She smiled, purple eyes meeting his. "Roxy, yes.. I met her once, I think. That was back during the battle times, when the theatre was destroyed... if she's still in business, I might have to go find her and see what kind of things are going on." She responded enthusiastically. "I'd love to be involved in both music and theatre.."
"What was that?" The pegasus asked softly, barely hearing Peri's quietly-spoken words.

Star nodded, taking it all in. "I'd like to be a script writer one day... Acting would be nice but I'd rather not be the center of attention, I'd like to be the brains behind it all." He sat back on his chair and thought about this for a moment.

Tyr walked in, his grey ears flicked one way and another as he took in his surroundings. There seemed to be quite the discussion going on at one table, and he wandered that way....maybe there'd be recruits...
Odin's Eye. He felt like a door to door salespony.

"Oh my name is Willow" She introduced herself to the male peg.
As jewel entered. willow began to beam. "Why yes speak of the devil!" Willow scooted into the booth more to make room for jewel to sit next to her. Willow listened to the 3 chat. Everything they talked about seemed so modern, and willow didnt know very much. "I dont own a TV..." she spoke softly, "but from what i can make from it. there are programs on it in which you watch prerecorded plays and such?" She laughed at herself. the others must have thought her insane to not own a TV.
